I know that it takes a lot to create all this content, and then to share them for free is just so generous of you. Even though I watch your channel on a regular basis, today is the first time that I saw the hexagon organizer. I will be making it, hopefully the next month. Thank you for all the resources that you share for free.
Oh thank you! I’m so glad you found something new. Thank you for being a regular viewer, means a lot to me 🤗
Thank you, Emma, for all of your hard work in making these tutorials/videos and your generosity in sharing these patterns for free. ❤😊
You are very welcome, thank you for watching 🌸
The flosstube is country stitchers, sorry for the mistake. But Deb must have watched your flosstube. 🥰
Girl!!!!!!! Your work is first class! So beautiful and your voice is so calm and charming! Love you !
Aww thanks so much!
I never even heard of EPP till I saw one of your videos a couple of months ago. Right after that I happened upon some scraps left behind from my mother in law (a quilter) after her death. I used these very sentimental scraps as centers for hexi flowers and appliqued them to make a quilt in her honor. Absolutely loved making the hexis and will be doing a other soon... thank you so much.
Emma, you’re so sweet & such a giving person. 💓 I love your voice & I could listen to you all day. Wow! Free patterns! You’re so generous. Thank you so much!
I’ll be looking forward to seeing more videos.
Take care & stay sweet!
I love your work!
Oh that’s so kind! Thank you ever so much 😊

I’m so happy to hear that!😊
So many lovely patterns to try. Thank you for sharing 🥰
Thank you Emma for sharing your videos. I have never done EPP before and wanted to try it. Brenda from Conquering Mount Scrapmore suggested your channel and I'm so glad she did. I am a new subscriber and wanted to thank your for your generous sharing of your patterns for free. This helps so much when I'm retired and on a limited income. I decided to start with something smaller-the needle book (I think you called it) to see how well I do. Your work is so beautiful. Take care.
Hello! Thank you for such a lovely comment and how lovely of Brenda. I hope you love making the needle book 🌸
Thank you for all that you are sharing. I’m a knitter branching out into sewing and your content has been so helpful (and also just lovely to watch!) 😊
That is so lovely to hear! Thank you for watching, happy sewing!
I love all your videos - you have really motivated me to try EPP. I have made the chunky square punctuation and the needle case. I'm planning two more needle cases and the square storage box. I have also bought and started your flower of the month mini quilt. I am now an avid buyer of fans lawn fabric! Thank you SO much for everything! X
Oh that is so lovely to hear! I’m so happy you are enjoying it and thank you for buying the block of the month. Happy stitching!🧵
Thank you Emma for sharing your beautiful free patterns . So kind . X x x
You’re welcome 😊 thanks so much for watching
You came recommended by Deb from the CountryStitchers. It takes a lot to do these pretty on cushions and needle books. They are so pretty! You do lovely work! Thank you for sharing with all of us, you are so generous.
Oh really! I didn’t know she knew who I was! Thank you so much for coming over 🤗
Made two of the needle books and two tiny pincushions. I loved the process of making them and using them.
I’m so happy to hear that! Thank you
Hi Emma, I’m still working on the grandmothers rose garden quilt in between other projects. It’s a nice relaxing go to pattern. Thank you for all your free patterns and ideas. Love your colour way as well, soft calming colour palette. Take care and I look forward to your next RUclips. Cheers from Australia.
I must update that pattern with the finishing instructions, will try to do that in March. Thanks for watching
Thank you so much Emma! I love your videos. 😊 Last fall I made a lot of needle books and crochet needle holders for my church quilting friends. I decorated them with your butterflies and included tiny pin cushions. They absolutely loved them! You are so appreciated! Stay safe and happy! 🥰
Oh how lovely! You have very lucky friends I’m not surprised they were delighted 🌸
Oh Emma, your embroidery is so lovely, I really love it ❤
Thank you so much!
Thanks for sharing your georgeous creations with us for free💕They are all so beautiful and it’s great to have such lovely projects to start an EPP journey, without having to try to create my own (I wouldn’t know where to start!) Always love watching your content Emma 👍🥰
Thanks so much Elaine! I really appreciate that, have a lovely day 🤗
My first time visiting you and I find you delightful. I love the needle book and scissors case. The pouches could be used to store embroidery thread and my first thought about the round hexagon end case was to stash one's glasses. These would make a great complete set along with a matching bag to store or carry them in. The set would make an awesome gift for a needle wielding friend or relative.
Welcome! And I’m so glad you like the patterns 😊
You design such beautiful patterns, Emma, and you are such an inspiration. I have made a needle book, several scissor cases, and pin cushions from your free patterns. I've also made a hexagon sewing case, which is my most used "make." I use it daily. I've made hexagon storage baskets, but my daughter "stole" those when she left home 😮 so I must make more, and I have just started to make your recent cottage sewing case. You are so right when you say we sometimes need a smaller, quicker project to do whilst working on our much bigger projects such as our quilts, which take a long time to complete. Thank you for everything you bring to us. I really do appreciate it ❤
Hi Julie, it’s so lovely to hear that you’ve made so many items and that they are well used and loved. Means a lot to me to hear that. Thank you so much for your support, happy sewing!🧵
Thank you for this video, you are very generous with your patterns, you have tempted me to make the thread roll, love it. ❤
So far I have made the pincushion and the gift box. The box I didn't make in Liberty in case I made a mess of it, I have printed out the needle case and watched the video, all things are in place to start, however I have gotten side tracked and started cutting the fabric for my quilt. It won't be hex but granny square same as the pincushion, all blocks will be mini, been cutting for a week and loving it, I'm trying to incorporate as many different types and colours of Liberty as possible.
Not more than 30mins ago I attempted hand stitch the little squares together and failed, since I'm not EPP-ing them I will machine. Which brings me to ask please "What size and type of machine needle should I use with Liberty fabric?" Emma you have provided enough free patterns to us going for a long time ❤ So much fun looking around them, anyone visiting for the first time will be very surprised and all of them are lovely, my mini heart loves them. Thank you so much for keeping me going and sharing your work.
Oh thank you for such lovely words Alison, really means a lot to me. I just use a regular sewing machine needle, a universal one, probably size 80 but you might want to choose a finer one. One thing that can happen is when you first start sewing the liberty together it can get pulled down into the stitch plate so if you have a straight stitch stitch plate you can change to, I would recommend swapping to that, otherwise using a leader/ender will help too 🌸
@@emmajonesvintagesewingbox Thank you ✨✨

thank you for such great patterns
Oh thank you! That really means a lot to me 🤗
Thank you so much!
thank you for sharing so many lovely patterns! as a beginner, i really appreaciate free patterns. I totally support designers earning a profit from all the time, expertise, creativity and hard work that goes in to pattern writing, but i find when i am just starting out at a new craft it's good to be able to read through the entire pattern before committing to making the project. i have in the past purchased patterns that looked like they would be achieveable to me, only to find after reading through, that it was far beyond my skill level at the time or required materials that i didn't have. of course the pattern is there for the future, but it was a bit of a bummer when i really wanted to get started on that project right away.
Thank you! Yes I totally support paid patterns too and have a few of my own but I always think it’s good for beginners to try things out first. Happy sewing!
I have done patchwork, but not by hand . You have inspired me to have a go thank you x
So happy to hear that!
Oh! I’m so glad I came across your channel! It’s very generous of you to share so many free patterns ❤ thank you ❤

Thanks for watching!
You do beautiful work. 💕
Thank you!
I took the butterfly paper piecing pattern and made my sister-in-law a snuggle on couch quilt. It took me a few years doing hand quilting and presented it to her this year for Christmas, she loved it. Thank-you for pattern😊
Oh how lovely! I bet she loved that. Thank you for watching Wendy 🦋
Hi Emma, everything you do is beautiful. Thanks for sharing! But I don't have the patience and, most importantly, I don't have the talent like you.
Oh I’m sure you do, whatever you make will be special because it is made by you, and that makes it unique 🌸
@emmajonesvintagesewingbox Thank you for your advice. I'm gonna try to make some later.
My needle book came out so cute❤ thank you.
Wonderful!
I love your videos. I've made the snow globe and hexagon needle book. ❤ I plan on making them all🤭😊

I love paper piecing hexagons, but too small, I'm always making baby quilt😊
hello from hamburg, germany - where the hamburgers come from :-) thank you so much for this video! I just downloaded the needle book pattern to start right away! love your style and designs! thank you for sharing such lovely designs for free!!!
Thanks for watching! Hope you love making it 🌸
I already made two of them!!! So cute! Next project is a miniquilt!@@emmajonesvintagesewingbox
Thank you for your gorgeous patterns! I have made the scissor case and the square pincushion. Thanks to the small hexies, I can use every last scrap of fabric. I have about 200 that I made since making the pincushion, but I can't decide on a project. 👀
Edited to add: At the risk of being very cheeky- a glasses or pencil case pattern would be great. A crochet hook roll? Okay, I'm seeing myself out... 🤭
Not cheeky at all! I always like suggestions because then I know what people want rather than guessing, so thank you!😊
Thank you Emma, I so enjoy your channel and your teaching me methods I never really explored before, In one of your quilt photos I notice hexies which look puffy, how do you make them look this way? I tried one yesterday and cut batting to hexie size looked not bad but really not as nice as yours. Maybe one day you might show how you accomplished this look, puffy hexies and around the bottom lovely stitching around it.
Thank you! I use hexiform for that, it’s an alternative to paper and it’s made from fabric and designed to be left in. I made a video all about it here ruclips.net/video/Kyyjmmdxk90/видео.htmlsi=2cCkEbWdX_1_pqZK

Hi there, just found your wonderful channel 😊I’m loving it so far and have subscribed ❤thank you! Could I ask you what fabric glue you use please and thread? x
Thank you! I use Sewline glue and wonderfil invisafil or deco bob 🌸
I love your channel. I would like to get the long needles you use. What is the brand and where May I purchase them. Also what is the size , length and size 5-7 8-9 ? I am always looking to see what you are doing next. Thank you.
Thank you! On my website I sell all of the tools and notions I use, the exact ones I like best. I hope that helps 🌸
I saw you making items with the yoyo that was shaped like a heart. How many sizes are there in the hearts and where can I buy them? I can't seem to find them here in the US. Thank you for sharing your wonderful videos. I love them; you inspire me. ❤️
I’m sorry I’m not sure how many sizes or where to get them, I would search google to see if you can find them
Loving your channel! Do you have any 1” Dilly Petal free template downloads?
Thank you. No I don’t at this time, sorry
Thank you so much for sharing your experience and knowledge with us ❤ I am new to quilting and I have a question for you … if I wish to make a quilt from my little girl’s pyjamas … do they all need to be 100% cotton !? Because they are all made from different materials … I am wondering if it would be possible to make a quilt out of them 🤔
Thank you for your help
Please keep up the good work ❤
Yes I think you can definitely make a quilt from them. I wouldn’t worry about the different types of fabric. They have all been washed many times I’m sure so there won’t be any shrinkage now and that’s the main concern with using different fabric types. The variation in fabric will give it a lovely texture. Have fun!
I love your projects and especially the little hexagons. Where do you get your hexie papers in those sizes? 1/4 wow. Smallest I can purchase in my city is 3/4". Would you have a free download of a sheet of 1/4" that we could print on cardstock and cut out?
duh! sorry, I just found on your web page that you have just what I asked for, thank you for being more prepared than I 😍🤣
Glad you found it! Hope it’s useful. Thanks for watching
Thank you for all your hard work , I for one appreciate it. Could I ask for a tip please, why when sewing my hexagons together why at times can you see very small, but stitches, I am doing multiple colours in a 7x7 quilt but sometimes you can see stitches. I do sew all in grey, as I felt it was neutral . Thanks for today , love all your lovely work.
Hi Karen, with EPP, you will always see the stitches if you are doing a whip stitch. Using neutral and fine thread definitely helps to reduce it but the nature of a whip stitch means it shows. Have a look at the flat back stitch if you are interested in a stitch that doesn’t show on the front. It’s not something I like to do but you might prefer it 🌸
@@emmajonesvintagesewingbox oh bless you, yours I never seen to notice, I had been using a guttering quitting thread , not sure if that is the right thing. I use a very very light grey. Some of my hexed are a darker shade you not more on there not badly ,but it’s there. You have re assured me it’s normal and I really thank you for that. I just so admire you work and want to look as nice. My first big quilt I spoke to you about that I wasn’t happy with. Ended up being thrown away. Just wasn’t happy with the outcome. It was the top only I haven’t used the hexiform but found in my local craft shop a really nice stable user so am starting again and using that. It gives the Gracie’s a far nicer look. So thank you again for. Your advise. My goal one day is to be half as good as you. You do inspire me with your work. Thank you again. Xx
Sorry about good old auto correct in some of the words.
🎉❤
Hi, I can’t find your video for the 5 1/2 rectangle with 2 inches sew together? I bought the templates but can’t find the video please
I’m not sure what you mean I’m afraid. I haven’t made a video which requires you to buy a template as far as I can remember, can you provide more detail?
Hi Emma, I have a question for you. I bought the sewing case pattern and now I'm wondering how I view the video for make it. I checked out without making a password!
Hi, thanks so much for purchasing the pattern. The video workshop is available as an additional purchase, you can find it here payhip.com/b/57xga and if you were to purchase it, it will take you through the steps of creating a password so you can access it whenever you want. Thanks so much
I live in the States how can I order some of your patterns? Do I pay in dollars or English money? Thank you.
Hi, thank you for being interested in my patterns. I think your credit card will do a conversion to dollars so you might need to pay in pounds first and then it will convert it 🌸
Hello Emma do you sell sewkine glue sticks in your ship please. I am trying to find your shop but without success. Thanks very much. Karen
