*caution* (DC in plug in is fragile..) either leave cord in all the time like i do or be very careful when using it .. over time they break - other than that it's a great speaker and nice and loud

Mine shows up on the battery widget on my iPhone. On android, push and hold Bluetooth icon (shortcut) and under where it shows you what you’re connected to, it showed it there too.
This is a very nice speaker loud ..it has 360 sound .. It floats and is water proof .. Battery life is crazy 50 hrs and even has an app
Wonder how this would compare to the Aiwa exos 9 in sound and the ALtec expedition 8? any feedback would be great, just out of boredom, thank you

I dunno if mine is bug but when put to blue tooth sounds like crap but when pluged into the AUX sounds ok taking it back tho.

I bought a super life jacket and it's good but can someone answer me quickly on how do it know when to charge and how long does it take. I used mine until the battery runs out. I charged it for a long time well I forgot to unplugged after about 4 hours...

Just picked one up after this review. I love it. It is a bit large, but it's a great home speaker, and can easily be taken out for a day on the beach/river without any issues.

This vs. Omni jacket ultra?
Had mine the jacket h20 blue for like 3 years. No problems EVER. Never had a problem. I feel like it’ll last another 7 years but I’m probably going to upgrade to a bigger one.
Same exact luck as you. May not be the very best but mine is legendary. Much like old Panasonic products, this seems like it’s built like a tank-very robust indeed.

Which would be better get two life jacket 2's or just this ?
The Super Life Jacket has speakers on both sides, it has 2 subwoofers and 2 passive radiators so the bass is going to be better if you go with just one Super Life Jacket. If you go with two Life Jacket 2's, then you'll have more versatility around your home, which is nice. If you want deep and loud bass, go with the Super Life Jacket.

I dont get any stickers, but this speaker really good if you can adjust the base on your phone it sounds really good and you will how good the bass are.

Gret speaker--until it ust stopped working. Looks like it is connected to the phone, but no sound. The ladies voice that talks when you turn it on is no longer talking. When it is connected to your phone, you can see the music playing on your phone, but NOT sound from the speaker VERY VERY FRUSTRATING!! Any ideas??
Take it to your local recycling center, so the battery can be safely removed....
The first one popped when I turned it on. The 2nd, it doesn’t recharge red light just stays on
It takes a good while to charge. It has a gigantic battery and has a 50 hour playback. I usually plug it in overnight.

Great review nick!! Really loved it! Which one do u think is better between ue megaboom, jbl xtreme or this one? I just wanted to buy one and i'm not really sure. The most i care about is having fun with it and sound quality. Thanks!!
I would lean just a bit towards the JBL Xtreme, I think it sounds the best but it is only splash proof, not fully water proof like the Megaboom and Super Life Jacket. Then I would rank the Megaboom second and the Altec Lansing third. That is just my opinion, all three are good choices though. Good luck!

I have one and love it but...it's only for music. If you use it for videos or audiobooks it cuts out when the narrator pauses between sentences and it will not instantly pick up when the narrator starts speaking again. Which means, you'll miss the first couple words of the next sentence. This happens constantly and is very annoying. That feature makes it almost undesirable. I dint know why it's intentionally programmed to cut out when no one is speaking. It sucks
the price is high but it is worth it
Yolo defiantly! It’s got ipx68 rating which is the highest on any Bluetooth speaker as far as I’m aware! It’s loud from what I’ve heard it’s super durable and overall just amazing I’ll be getting one very soon! Also might pick up the Omni ultra jacket by them to and test them both out!

Braven blows it out the water. However it is not a portable speaker like the altec

The Jbl extreme is Way better tbh- The Clarity Bass and loudness is Dope on the JBL extreme

This beats the JBL Xtreme on some features like battery life and the fully waterproof design. I think the Super Life Jacket excels in the mid range but the Xtreme beats it on the low end. If you like bass heavy music, I'd say look at the Xtreme, but if you can, have a listen to both.

i have one the battery just charge 60 porcent,send back to altec company,they fix it ,work for 5 mont i have the same problem,i dont recomend this speaker.

The bass is just okay, its clear and doesn't distort. If you are looking for deep base, you won't find it here, although with the eq presets, you can make the bass much better.
I found this speaker to sound terrible for the $300 price. It was outclassed on sound, notably bass, by speakers costing half as much. Like I said in my Amazon review when you charge $300 you have to bring your A game. The fugoo xl demolishes this speaker and is also waterproof and has 360* sound. The JBL charge 3 list for half the price and sounds a lot better.
