I know this an old post ..But I believe if u turn the volume all the way up on the actual speaker not just ur phone it hits pretty good

Back in the day i was their fans on computer sound setup before switch to logitech system😅.they kill themselves by entering this segment.i still remember,their product lineup rarely on sales(discount)/2007
Altec Lansing used to be famous for its horn loaded speakers then I heard they ported the horn loaded tech to some of their Bluetooth speakers to simulate that horn sound :)
Well this one is a stinker.
Why do you think that about this speaker? I'm going to buy the same model with only 30 hours of battery life. I already noticed that it won't bring the lights but that way the battery will last longer hehehe

What was your phone EQ set on? Kinda hard to discern if the speaker only plays highs as you stated if the EQ was not a setting that bass is more prevalent.
What? My Samsung tablet wasn't using any EQ.
No offense…..just asking. I’ve found that changing the preset EQ settings or if available customizing the EQ on a phone or tablet can completely change the response of a Bluetooth device. I like first gen life jacket and was considering upgrading if it was actually an upgrade. BTW thanks for your review
@@chadlovvorn3946 I've tried boosting the bass via 3rd party EQ with this speaker and it just cannot handle much bass. It's just a junk speaker.

Hello, I would like to know what you recommend if you buy me this speaker with Micro USB or Type C charging input. Which one do you recommend? The type C inlet doesn't bend the plastic?

@@JaysStraightUpReviews Don't exceed 60 dollars. This Altec speaker that you have in the video, the audio is not heard loudly and at the moment the volume goes down by itself. Does that happen to you or not?

I have 2 of these and love them but only caus i paid 40 each otherwise my jbl stuff is better but much more expensive. I take my altec to the beach and its loud and decent bass maybe i got lucky w mine? When i get home going to compare to clip 4 which was same price but half the size

I'm not a big fan of most of the Altec Lansing speakers I've had or tried.
mine isn't loud at all.
It's not really that loud and has very little bass. A real 💩
The older version does not sound better. I have one and it is definitely treble heavy with no bass
At least I now know all versions of this speaker suck.
