Altec lansing does it right! I had a mini lifejacket. Lasted me almost 7 years! I just lost it during a recent beach trip :( But she was just starting to lose bluetooth signal strength, so it was time.

first bluetooth speaker; picked up the lighted mini LifeJacket Jolt and was so impressed with it that I went out and got the bigger, lighted Jolt to go with my Note 10+ I got recently - they make a great pair, the drop-n-go wireless charging is just too smooth - really great speakers, only too happy with both of mine
I love my H20 3.. Trying to get 50 of these to pair up.. should sound pretty good as a dance floor! :D
I just bought one of these from my local walmart after I returned the outdoor tech Big joke 4.0 Turtle. and I have to say altec out did themselves with this speaker but than again when your company stands behind its product like altec Lansing does and doesn't make claims they can't back up like some companies do. the customers will always return in the future. I know any time I've owned Altec lansings products I've never had any thing to complain about because the quality and clairity have always been right there.
I used to have a mini life jacket in red orange and it is amazing, I ended up getting TWO of these because their such and amazing quality and they last so long. I'm dedicated to this brand because they know their speakers. For headphones/earbuds brands that are affordable but high quality I reccomend Jlab and skullcrusher.
If you’re interested in a good back story look into Altec Lansing . James Bullough Lansing (JBL) started this company and went to Altec for some backing. He left after 5 years to start another speaker company.(JBL). Unfortunately he went into debt and would up taking his life over something like $20,000.00. Great story. When its charging does the buttons on the right turn red ?
The auxiliary port. Is it an input? I want a Bluetooth device to hook up to an older digital TV that is not Bluetooth ready that I can use Bluetooth earbuds to watch TV with. I'm hoping this device will give me that ability. Thank you.

Hello, I would like to know... Does this speaker sound loud? At full volume, is it true that it distorts the audio? And I would like to know if it is used at full volume, how long does the battery last? Thanks a lot
i do notice a bit of distortion at full volume. At full volume, you can expect around half or less of battery life.

Do you have to turn it on every time you turn on your computer (it doesn't just turn on by itself when plugged into your computer via USB)? And if so, that means you have to press the "+" button to turn up the volume every time?
@@HBV90 Okay, thanks. It just seems humbug to have to turn it on every time you turn on your computer. Also, the range of the Bluetooth connection is very short. I bought this for my mom to use in her bedroom while her computer is in the living room. But the connection cuts out after about 30 feet.

just got one at Meijer for 70 bucks. mids are really good. bass aint too bad for what it is. and it even has an aux jack and a qi charger. none of these review convey that this thing is heavy as a brick tho. Gets loud enough in my backpack that i can hear it on my bike in the wind.

this speaker sound okay, but at full volume, sound quality distort a little. at full volume, battery life will be alot lower than what is specified

So....how Did it sound? I got one for 30 bucks through Verizon. Is it at least as good as that? Can I rock out in my shower? Will it be good for listening to Bob marley while camping? Does it sound better than my phone speaker? So many questions!
I owned Life Jacket 2 in shower for 3 years before it died and it would still work if charging port didn't break.
Yes to all of your questions it is so much better than you expected to be by looking at it. They're loud, durable, all around fucking amazing speakers. Honestly my opinion just as impressive as JBL and UE for half the price.
@@jaredgreen760 - I just bought one and don't find it very loud and the bass isn't very powerful. . I'm looking online to find specs on it to find out the maximum decibel (dB) output, but haven't found anything, not even on Atec Landing's website. I'm pretty disappointed and will probably return it, and buy a JBL portable instead.

I just got one and it sounds great, I just have issues with it pairing with my H20 4 speakers (two of them) any tips?
Turn off Bluetooth on phone and turn it back on. Then turn the altec- Lansing life jacket on. Your phone should recognize it in seconds. Press pairing for 3 seconds on speaker and it will turn green. Then press pairing on the other speaker and they should link up.

Jin Thao I ended up buying it and have been using it a lot and the bass is good also the sound quality and volume are good you can go really loud and quiet

@@jaychen2000metal - Thanks for the tip. I still have time to return and exchange it. It's not loud enough to be enjoyed outdoors, riding my bike (no headphones/ear buds for me) or sitting by the water.

Stay away from Altec Lansing! Their speakers are wonderful, until the warranty runs out. Then you will end up with a very expensive paperweight and no customer service.
I disagree. I've had my boomjacket 2 for around 4 years now and have never had an issue. Still performs like it did out of the box
@@blainegoodwin6365 do some research. Just because you got lucky doesn't mean there are not hundreds if not thousands of people who got duped by this terrible company. I've already ordered the new charging Jack and batteries and luckily I'm able to do this kind of tedious work. If I had paid full price for this piece of junk, I would be even more pissed off. But good for you. But bad for many other people.
