The whole point of the thin section is to give a wider spread, and the panels do help reflect sound outwards as well. Though, in my testing the spread/directivity isn't great either way, and a tweeter, more sophisticated waveguide, or both would have gone a long way in that regard.
I was undecided between both of these speakers. I went to check tem out side by side at best buy. It was a noticeable sound difference and i ended up getting the XE 300. I absolutely love it. I prefer its sound profile to JBL as well. Just my personal opinion
@Jeremy Dumitrache OMG me too. Hv been trying the xb33 xe300 jbl charge 5. Nothing beats the xb32. Sony seems to reduce sound quality with new speakers.
The XE200 sounds so thin I wouldn't consider buying ever. I have the XB33 and think these are a downgrade, what was Sony thinking honestly? I regret a little not getting the XB43 but that would have been a 40 to 50€ cost increase. XB33 sounds even better if you put it on top of a resonating box.
I've got the same two speakers as you in your video. The blue 200 and the charcoal greyish black 300 sucks can't do stereo with both of these. You have to have two 200 or two 300s smh
the JBl speakers will always have clear and punchier sound. but you can always change the Sony's EQ to match that in the app. For me I'd still like the Sony's better because I like the vocals to be foward and juts a good amount of treble to come through. The JBL always seems to be V shaped so vocals are kind of pushed back

The sound quality differences are noticeable. For me the XE300 sounds clearer and more bass.
Definitely

I like them both and if you sit it down so the middle mesh it straight up these sound amazing from any distance
Great Video Mr Ceon! I Learnt Heaps🧠💡! Cheers From New Zealand
Thanks for watching!
It would be very interesting to see a teardown (which is inevitable Im sure) of these speakers.
I think that there are reason for that designe and smaller opening 🎶
But for me the srs xb40 and 41 had the best designe❤️
no doubt, i still have my 32 (same gen) and they were best looking with the lights

The way they designed them I believe has to do with sound pressure, hence the intended line diffuser and accompanying solid walls.
I looked at the brochure and it looks like the rubber part can fold out to give you a wider sound stage...
I came for the review and left with some really good music tracks🤣
Should try placing them further and see if they sound better because they claim that sound will spread out if you are further from the speaker
Can you plug your phone to charge in either of them

@@JaySilva88 I just got the XG300. THAT'S the one to get!
XE300 is the move for me. Thanks man.
Is it good for watching movies?

Only mid bass and vocal, very lacking detail of every instruments, narrow soundstage
The bigger one sounds great! Better than JBL
I have both of the big ones and they sound great. The 300 has a great handle. The XE200 is horrible and I only paid $33
Como se llama la última canción?
How does the XE300 compares to the Jbl Charge 5?
JBL sounded clearer.
Watch flossy carter he had a comparison between xe300 and jbl charge 5

@@thisiscuvo I also think that Sony has better quality. I read a lot of reviews and I read more bad things of Jbl's than Sony.
Sonny Xb speakers are better. Jbl, Bose & Ultimate Ears are better sound🤗🤗🤗
Is the Sony xe300 louder than 40 watts
Should be bet 30 and 40
30 watts hence the name
About 40 watts like the jbl charge 5….
The srs is so terrible i wouldnt even wastd my time with the 300
It was fasinating
They sound ok but JBL is best
First❤️👊
Really shitty music in the sound test, if you can call that music at all :-D
I'll play Bach and Beethoven next time
Waste my money never buy sony product anymore..
had to stop when you got to the sound test.. why do reviewers feel the need to push their garbage music tastes on others? for goodness sake..
You're right. I should've picked a Playlist that caters specifically to you. My apologies.
Because of music rights, youtubers cannot afford to put the latest trendy hits like shitty Beyonce or Taylor Swift you like
They look so premium, but they don't sound like one 🥲
They sound good in person
@@ddelcarpio09 Sound good, just far from premium.
