1:30:10 "Who am I really?" is a beautiful piano piece. The closing shot with the Statue of Liberty and game title is iconic. This song alone is why I think this game needs to be preserved, like how the US Government preserves films.
I understand it's been almost 4 years since you made these, but watching both this and the MGS1 cigarette run back to back I have to ask, did you ever think about closing the trilogy by doing an MGS3 run?
I never intended to stop at 2. Life just got in the way. And I have more ideas than just the trilogy. All this support really does help motivate me though!

Man, to this day MGS2 has this unique elegant look and athmosphere to it that I just have not seen replicated anywhere else. Oh also 18:50 was just amazing haha
MGS2's art style looks really clean and visually readable. it's really an art style i wish more games would adapt to, instead of this over stylized, fortnite look
I’ve seen a lot of speedruns for this game but this is the most entertaining and masterful I’ve seen in years. Your strats for struts D, E and F made me grin from ear to ear and the editing is superb.
It's weird to think that this wasn't done with some kind of tool-assisted strats because there are times when I genuinely have no idea how the guards didn't notice him. It's kind of annoying because every time I played MGS2 the guards would notice when Raiden farted quietly at the other end of a hallway.
Good lord, I never noticed just how oblivious the guards in this game can be until I watched this which is kinda ironic considering whenever I play it feels like they have eyes in the back of there heads.
Putting George Salonikh to shame with these, glad I got recommended the cigarette only run, which was fascinating as it made the game an OHKO run, really entertaining stuff, crime that you haven't gotten more public attention for your efforts, this level of suave stealth is on par with Splinter Cell style stealth, getting so close you can hear the enemy breathe type of stealth with how you pull off those pixel perfect run-arounds.
yeah I can't understand why anyone watches that george guy. All he does is play the game, when you could easily just go play it yourself for more fun. At least this guy puts a cool twist on it and his skills are really impressive

The editing is so delightful. Loved the intro with Gray Fox (comically) chiding Snake for relying on the tranquilizer M9 and then getting the 'Cannot Use' SFX play as the M9 was crossed out. (I also loved the subsequent uses of that same gag)
I'll be working on a ghost (minimal AI disruption, think no traces from MGSV) run of this game at some point and I just want you to know you're probably going to be the run I derive the most from. Absolutely incredible job, from one stealth expert to another.

My man, this is a small detail, but I loved every second of it. Tapping R2 in synch with the music was pure gold, and I'm glad I wasn't the only person doing that. This run was completely superb, and your execution of the strategies not only on the highest difficulty but also without using the main weapon of the game was perfect.

I can't believe how easily you made the Olga boss battle look on the tanker! I always struggled with that one due to the sensitive controls in first person aiming 😕
This was something else to watch… I just completed my no tranq run of mgs3 on euro extreme and it was a nightmare! Took me 17 hrs lmao. But it was a lot more fun than tranqing everyone. Im gonna do a no tranq run of this game now too and every other metal gear solid game!
Amazing playthrough, the Fortune fight was something else. Just a helpful hint, not that it matters, you can use the shoulder buttons to brace for Olga's punch. Made me sad to see you suffer. Great stuff anyway. Amazing editing for viewer experience. You're pretty good.
Videos like this show how deep and complex all the gameplay mechanics in MGS 2 actually are. Been playing this game for more than 10 years since first discovering it in 2010 and still consider it to be my second favorite videogame of all time. This run is phenomenal and it is a shame that it doesn't get the attention it deserves. Or maybe it is a blessing. Being a hidden gem is something that makes such a masterpiece even more appealing and valuable.

Incredible video, this Raiden is an authentic cyberninja, you're a stealth expert and amazing player!! I was expecting a No Damage but you can't have everything. The only part a little terrible , no offense, is the sniper section, it would have been better if you had called Snake. By the way when you're without the uniform, do you appear like this in the scene with Ames? And when you're wearing it? I also wondered if there is such video on MGS4 with only explosives and no guns, it is much easier with the OctoCamo, and if you aim with FREEZE! enemies on their knees or lying down, they are neutralized as in the MGSV
I actually agree. I practiced the sniping section the least. It always feels floaty so it's the most prolonged and frustrating thing in the run. Since it isn't a showcase of stealth I just went with the first one that worked. The cutscene shows whatever you were wearing just before it so there's no uniform. I planned to do some runs of all the games so maybe one day I can do some cool MGS4 stuff. >I was expecting a No Damage but you can't have everything. We'll see...

A lot of speedruns are boring, a few are fun cuz of commentaries, but this one is exceptional and good presentation.
What really wins me over is the seamless room\stage transitions. Your audio clip edits are genuinely fun as well and not corny like others'.
The way you kept on fighting Solidus even after losing 99% of your health bar is beyond amazing!
You deserve a lot more subs, this editing is something else, that I don't see in many youtubers these days. Keep up the world my dude.
