Cathay Pacific First Class Review + Hong Kong First Class Lounges

- This flight was pure indulgence! I was lucky enough to fly Cathay Pacific First Class from Hong Kong to London Heathrow. I brought my camera along so you can see exactly what it's like to fly First Class on Cathay Pacific.
This first class Cathay flight was on the Boeing 777. My first class review covers the Cathay Pacific first class lounges in Hong Kong - the Wing First Class Lounge and the Pier First Class Lounge. Both are stunning!
This flight review also covers boarding, take off, the Cathay First Class cabin, seat and indulgent inflight service. I also cover the Cathay Pacific amenities kit including the PJs, their entertainment system and of course the full flat bed.

I worked on the design on that 777 interior for Cathay. I remember the cabin furniture including that stupid flower in the vase had to withstand 16G of force to prevent it flying around like a missile during an 'incident.
16G is way overkill, who writes these nonsense rules?
But phones and cutlery aren’t as dangerous as a soft plastic flower
I have no idea why I find it so therapeutic to sit down and watch this guy indulge in fancy foods, alcohol and taking a bath in airport terminals! This channel is addictive and has inspired me to want to experience this stuff. Cheers Dennis.
We experience these luxuries vicariously through him, that's why! I view him as my beta tester. If he has a bad experience, I take note of it and would never fly that airline.
I find them therapeutic too - it's such a pleasure to watch this level of indulgence. I've just discovered these flight reviews, and I love them.
I have been watching these videos for months and I am dead set on trying first or buisness class.
@@sankimalu Yes, I think He single handedly forced BA to update their business class. That was probably the worst review I've seen him do.
Lord Ashbury - I completely agree. I only found his channel last week and I find it very interesting. I had no idea that suites were a thing on an airplane. I use to say I wouldn't know how to spend a lottery winning but I do now. :)
I will never not laugh at Dennis' excitement over free pyjamas.

From the top of my head I think I've got them Thai, Qantas, United, Emirates, Etihad, Qatar and Cathay. They are not in a display case (yet!) - I promise I will wear them all on a Q&A video when I get to 75,000 subscribers!!

Remember the excitement over the pyjamas in the Thai Airways video? I was given a pair by my friend who’s a flight attendant and just gave it to my dad. He literally wears it every damn day!
The only people who could possibly give Dennis a thumbs down are fellow travel vloggers who watch this and realise they are inferior to him in every way. Happy travels Dennis 😀
winstable1 I follow (Subscribe) 2 Aussies and an English reviewer. Between the first-class videos that these 3 guys upload I’m satisfied to the point I don’t feel a need or want to watch anyone else.
I can never get over how capacious the 777 is. The first time I ever got on one, I was astonished at how cavernous the interior was. I could hardly reach the air vents while seated in the middle row; I had to tiptoe to reach my bag in the overhead lockers. I wondered how a plane so large could ever leave the ground fitted with just two engines. I was not surprised to later find out that they are the largest jet engines around! Such a marvelous plane!
I can't believe you've only got 54K subs. Unbiased, brutally honest, helpful reviews are hard to come by on RUclips, but you my friend consistently nail it.
Bottom Line: Dennis #1 Travel Reviewer on RUclips. Funny and extremely informative.

Greet review Denis as always. I did the exact same lounge experiences before a flight a few weeks ago to JFK. I sat in 1A also and had lots of time to enjoy it as it was almost a 16 hour flight.

It's always a joyous and refreshing chunk of minutes watching your flight based travelogues Dennis, And this was no exception. The 15 minutes just breezed by due to your easy going manner & smooth editing and v.o. (voiceover).
Having used Hong Kong airport as a transit en route to Brisbane & back last year, I'm glad they seem to have upped the ante a bit. The distances between lounges and terminals are quite significant , as I also discovered when I used both club (or business?) Lounges last year. I walk quite fast , yet it took nearly 30 minutes or so to get to my gates each time after leaving the lounge comfort zones behind. The Cathay first class lounges look excellent & are a real step up from the lounges I used. Maybe one day I'll savour those too.
One final thing I noticed was that you didn't do your customary 'reveal' sequence to the pyjamas (hand on lens before changeover , etc). You must have been exhausted prior as I think you mentioned in the video ( 22hrs being awake/ in transit et al).
