A big thing to mention about this finale, it was kinda known for a while that this anime would be having a season 2 / second cour. The anime wasn't even at episode 6 when they already soft announced the season 2. So while the ending is odd, it's better that it's like this then rushed.
I think it was announced as a 2 cour season even before it started airing, I started reading the manga a few months before it began and right around the arc that E12 kicks off I was wondering how many episodes the first season would have and even then I saw people saying that it'll be a double cour, to the point where I knew the 2nd part would release in Summer a bit after. At least on the fanbase it seems like it was pretty known that the first season would be a 2 cour one lol

For those interested, the anime is NOT even near where the manga is. It is true that the anime is kinda going ballistic, but the reason they end this season here is because the next few arcs are interconnected and this is the last peace before the storm there is for a while. The manga is just going insane for a little after this so they cant really do more of the story without committing to overextending the season
Oh that makes sense. I did see a little bit of the manga and it's wild, so now I'm not as disappointed with the ending as I was before (don't get me wrong, I was disappointed to not know more, not with the episode or anything like that because I don't criticize everything that doesn't fit my personal standards which a lot of people need to learn)

It is a two cour season. They split the cours and announced they were gonna do so before the first cour started. The second cour labeled "season 2" comes out in July and will be the remaining 12 episodes The reason Dandadan, and many other anime, go really fast early on is cause most manga get axed within the first 17 or so chapters. So mangaka in an effort to attract readers will move through beginning arcs quickly to try and draw in an audience before they begin to slow down the pacing.
An example of where this didn't happen was Samurai 8 by Musashi Kishimoto (Naruto), in which he paced the first arc well, and thus the series was cancelled after only 43 chapters, for failing to hook readers fast enough.

Not gonna lie the High School Scenes give me PTSD style flashbacks whenever the characters are there for a scene like this probably the most accurate depiction of Teenagers in High School that I've seen in fictional story telling when you you really think on it many people did grow up around sociopaths who dictated their actions off what their peers and girls thought.
(At 8:12) All three of them are voiced by Benjamin Diskin. But the red one sounds like Steve Blum (from _Naruto_ as Orochimaru and Zabuza) And the green one sounds like Tom Kane (who I remember growing up as "His Inferno Majesty" from _the Powerpuff Girls_ or as we like to call the crab prostitute… HIM).
Dandadan is like Scooby Doo, only the Scooby Gang is younger, all the monsters were real, and Scooby was a Japanese beckoning cat possessed by a insane Helena Bonham Carter. Momo is Velma, Okarun is Shaggy, Jiji is Fred and Aira is Daphne. Oh, and there is a hot gramma for some reason.
I was enjoying the show enough and then when the For a Kinder World episode slapped me in the god dang face with the biggest, unexpected whiplash of emotions. I was sold 200% 😭😂
40:40 as a girl myself, i had this happen with another girl as well. we were BEST friends in kindergarten, they had to put us in separate classes for primary school, but we always hung out in recess. then we got back into the same class when we reached "junior high school" (i think that's the closest equivalent to the german 5th grade), and we hung out after school more often than not... two years later, when the bullying got worse, she up and said we'd never been friends in the first place. aaand now i have trust issues :)

Aira might actually be my favorite character. She's so stupid and I love her. Plus I generally really like how she's grown and developed so far. I like seeing when a character sucks at first but grows throughout the series.
In fact, everyone says that JoJo was one of the first to change the opening and according to the moment you already know the spoiler and that's why there are several versions of the same opening.
54:30 thats what I really appreciate about this anime's romance. They could have just made Ken a creep that wants her love, but really he just wanted a friend. And even if you do have a crush on someone, just maintain a friendship and see how it goes.
The first episode was so wild. I was like what is this and then by the end of episode 12 I actually thoroughly enjoyed the show. It’s like a LSD romance, anime action and I love it.

Because Momo doesn't seem to have interest in either of them as romantic partners, but if anything, it seems like she's with Okarun enough where it could be a good romance, especially the mix of situations they have been in. The one thing that stood out to me though is that unlike Okarun, Jiji can't hold any seriousness for too long. He constantly has (what I assume to be a facade) a goofy personality with no seriousness or real composure. I'm an anime only person though so some of this context I might be missing.

You should check out undead, unlucky. It is in a similar vein. To this, it is off the wall insane, but the writing the characters, the action. It's all fantastic season. One is available on disney plus and it is 24 episodes. But uh, it goes hard from the first 5 minutes of episode one and it only gets crazier. After that, I think it would be a great addition. I think you guys really, really would. Enjoy that once again, it is called undead. Unlucky

Not gonna lie the High School Scenes give me PTSD style flashbacks whenever the characters are there for a scene like this probably the most accurate depiction of Teenagers in High School that I've seen in fictional story telling when you you really think on it many people did grow up around sociopaths who dictated their actions off what their peers and girls thought.
(At 8:12) All three of them are voiced by Benjamin Diskin.
But the red one sounds like Steve Blum (from _Naruto_ as Orochimaru and Zabuza)
And the green one sounds like Tom Kane (who I remember growing up as "His Inferno Majesty" from _the Powerpuff Girls_ or as we like to call the crab prostitute… HIM).
Dandadan is like Scooby Doo, only the Scooby Gang is younger, all the monsters were real, and Scooby was a Japanese beckoning cat possessed by a insane Helena Bonham Carter. Momo is Velma, Okarun is Shaggy, Jiji is Fred and Aira is Daphne. Oh, and there is a hot gramma for some reason.

40:40 as a girl myself, i had this happen with another girl as well. we were BEST friends in kindergarten, they had to put us in separate classes for primary school, but we always hung out in recess. then we got back into the same class when we reached "junior high school" (i think that's the closest equivalent to the german 5th grade), and we hung out after school more often than not... two years later, when the bullying got worse, she up and said we'd never been friends in the first place. aaand now i have trust issues :)

This is the third anime I have seen, and in my opinion, it's pretty much perfect.
The romance actually makes sense and they act like normal people.

@jakubgodyn7413 that's fair. Because Momo doesn't seem to have interest in either of them as romantic partners, but if anything, it seems like she's with Okarun enough where it could be a good romance, especially the mix of situations they have been in.
The one thing that stood out to me though is that unlike Okarun, Jiji can't hold any seriousness for too long. He constantly has (what I assume to be a facade) a goofy personality with no seriousness or real composure. I'm an anime only person though so some of this context I might be missing.
@complex2live I hated Jiji with passion after episode 11. He gained some points in the finale, but I am still not a fan.

You should check out undead, unlucky. It is in a similar vein. To this, it is off the wall insane, but the writing the characters, the action. It's all fantastic season. One is available on disney plus and it is 24 episodes. But uh, it goes hard from the first 5 minutes of episode one and it only gets crazier. After that, I think it would be a great addition. I think you guys really, really would. Enjoy that once again, it is called undead. Unlucky
