You could also say the same about Amphibia, which is another great show. the fact that both TOH and Amphibia feel like spiritual successors of Gravity Falls makes sense in both real life and in-universe since both Matt Braly and Dana Terrace previously worked on GF, and also because all 3 shows share the same universe (or at least the same Planet Earth).
So basically Stan was never evil, they teased it at the end of episode 1 but actually he’d been working for 30 years to bring ford (his brother) back from another dimension. He was more selfless than anyone in that universe
So the big reveal that Stan had a twin brother was halfway through season 2, and before that, there were tons of fan theories about things (Won't spoil what but Ford was a major shocker to Tumblr and Twitter and just the internet in general)

I'd recommend another show called My Little pony: Friendship is magic. I Know the name sounds cheesy but if you give it an opportunity al least ep1, and the last episode (Season 9, ep25), you will see how good the show is. Note: episode 25 of season 9 isn't the last episode, but the next one is just the epilogue of the series, the finale and last epic battle is in ep25. Thanks❤.

You kinda did predict somthing right. There was 3 journal. Stan did have journal1 from the start. He was trying to find all three. He did eventually find the 2nd and he found out that dipper had the 3rd and took from him. He needed all three journals to get his brother back

Yeah. This was a bit of a bad idea because you DID miss out on one of the greatest animated tv shows of the 2010’s. So much of gravity falls is about mystery and hidden messages and codes, and you just spoiled yourself on all of that because all the payoff for the 2 seasons worth of buildup was in the last episode. :(
Btw there are a million theories of this epidsode and they made a book and websites with quizes which are very clever made (if you finished the show watch film theories vid
I hope he'll give a chance to The Owl House. I love this show right now as an old GF fan, it definitely holds up in 2020's. Animation is pretty great, the characters are fun, and the plot is also out there.
Great animatied shows is something you have to find. Gravity Falls and Owl House were both on Disney channels, but amazing shows like Hazbin Hotel, The Amazing Digital Circus, Shera and the Princesses of Power and Kipo and the age of Wonderbeasts are on Prime, Netflix or even RUclips.

While this was a fun idea in theory you chose a series that has a phenomenal payoff, which sucks but I'm glad it helped get you interested in it! It's a good show for sure. It took a while to grow on me but it's up there with my favs now just for how much care got put into the show as a whole. The Owl House is another spectacular ride if you liked the vibes of this one. Still worth the full watch and I hope you didn't lose too much of the experience jumping to the end (because a lot of the best part of this one and TOH *is* the full experience)
