This first off I just want this stated off for the court he levels up just that alone is enough to make him at least an S. The fact that he gets minions and instant recoveries and fucking great titles that give him stat increases and damage increases. It does not even come close to the amount of how outscaling that him and his fucking minions do. Literally by the time that they get to the island they are just broken

Solo Leveling from the first few episodes made me confident in the anime adaptation doing it justice.
Then lyrics played during the kill 0/6 and Igris juggled Jin Woo and I knew this would be legendary…
This anime lives up to the hype imo, also, Aleks Le killed it as Jinwoo voice
The Japanese voice actor was committing seppuku on the mic, the English voice actor had no choice and thank God he did.

Those who Didn't read the Novel or the Manhua should know, Solo leveling 1st season anime is only the setup for the whole story. He got his real source of power (Shadow power) in Episode 12, meaing the 2nd season is where the story will pick up the juicy parts. And his transformation into a badass antihero.

But the Anime was made by 'A-1 Pictures' which is in Japan. So, the anime is a Japanese production. All of those was made in two diferent country. So. In general when I address Solo leveling as a brand, Should I address the Brand only or named the countries every single time? That's why Manhua, manwha or manga all look same to me (If I overlook some minor details\differences). Restricting a intellectual work by nationality is kind of Old fashion, NO?

Manga is just way more broad but saying manga, manwha and manhua as the same is an insult to their creators. Might aswell call anime and manga cartoons and comics 😂
Exactly. Season 1 certainly popped off, though not as much as fans may have wanted it to. I’m a longtime fan myself (re-reading novel and comic versions multiple times, now also keeping up with the sequel series being published). But the content to be covered in season 2 is the big turning point opportunity for the popularity of the anime.
If season 2 does not live up to season 1, it can harm the profit made that helps with financing the future seasons of Solo Leveling. If the anime adaptation team nails season 2 as they have season 1, in particular to nail the new dynamic of the ********* (spoiler content. Readers and watchers will know what it is), Solo Leveling’s anime will pop off to the heights fans wanted and expected season 1 to do so!

You added differences in genre's used in those countries but guess what Dude, There are vast amount of cultivation manwha (murim Worlds) and game based manhua out there. Murim manwha is pretty similar to wuxia manhua, but at the same time has some differences. Those are minor differences. By ignoring nationlity I am actually giving credit to the creators individually for their creation not to the community they belong to. That's What I said.
I've never heard the english VA for this until this video, gotta respect Aleks Le for nailing that Jinwoo performance, the original VA was epic as hell but he did a great job adapting it to english.

I have a fun game I play when watching Anime called "Find the Piccolo" where I try to find Chris Sabat in every anime. He is in like 90% of the English dubs for anime, so you can almost always find a Piccolo.
Find the Gohan is also a fun game.
I have something similar called “Find the VA” Where I try to find VAs of my in anime that I watch.

Many don’t know this but they added a scene that wasn’t in the manga at 1:18:50 where Jinwoo does a few hops like goku as a homage to Akira Toriyama. Respect to the animators for adding it and rest in peace Akira Toriyama.

Episode 9 released eight days after Toriyama's death, which was apparently enough time to add the hops.

Its not that dubs have stepped their game up, its about who is working on the dub. SL got a dubbed cast filled with industry veterans from Funimation and a damn good ADR director Caitlin Glass. Honestly a good ADR director is probably the most important aspect of this. People like Caitlin Glass, Colleen Clinkenbeard or Mike McFarlin being attached to a dub as director is a pretty good indicator its going to be very well acted and well translated. This is because they are actors first and foremost, but also because they will use the source material (like manga, light novel, web toon) to assist in the translation to ensure its accurate beyond general meaning. Sometimes it will be even more accurate than the subbed translation because of that.

This voice actor killed it, and it IS the same guy, they didn't change when his stats improved. I didn't believe that it was the first guy either, but then I watched him in and interview switch between the two voices and it was awesome!! The music choices for this Anime are just absolute FIRE!! I have not read the manga, but with that ending I have a feeling it is kinda like Hunter X Hunter, where the chimera ants started evolving, eating and converting people to evolve even more. God I cant wait until the 2nd season!!! Great Bing Review guys!!
Aleks Le is one of my favorite people in the anime industry right now. Not only because he's a great actor, but he also brings tremendous focus and care to the role. The whispers in the Arise scene were his idea to change from the JP audio, he shows a creativity that accents the product without disregarding the source.
He also replaced Billy Kametz in 86 for the final two episodes after Kametz passed away, he delivered an amazing performance to honor the work of the previous VA.
Hell yeah! You dont see alot of reactors doing the dub version. Aleks Le did an amazing job as Sung Jinwoo

two points, it's not him changing his looks more of him growing into his adult self (the comic eventually hints at this). And two in the web comic he is much more cold hearted, one of the convicts is still barely alive and after the others leave, he drags them to the boss and lets him get killed before he takes out the boss.
For anyone who doesn't know already, Solo Leveling now has a sequel called "Solo Leveling: Ragnarok", it's not as hype yet, but it's still in the early stages.

Keeping the helmet was actually pretty smart. I mean think about it, what's the worst place to catch a stray hit out of them all? Yeah headshots, so if he's gonna go light, keeping a high grade helmet like that boosts his safety more than any other armor piece while not being heavier than any other armor piece more or less.

Since you guys enjoyed this so much I fell like you'd also enjoy Danmachi (also known as "is it wrong to try and pick up girls in a dungeon" but don't be put off by its name), its a similar vibe where they go into dungeons but in danmachi there's just one permanent dungeon and the deeper you go the stronger the monsters get, though danmachi is more of a traditional fantasy taking place in more medieval times. It also proceeds to get better with each season with season 5 releasing in a few months.

I love the fact that Aleks slowly builds up Jinwoo's voice. Starts out kinda soft and subtle in the first couple episodes, but bit by bit you start hearing that raw grit. Plus some of those improvised lines are just [*Chef's kiss*]

I'm a Korean in Alabama, and Korean Fried Chicken (KFC) is constantly compared with southern fried chicken as a very different tasting, but competing dish. I'm biased and feel that Korean Fried Chicken dominates, and I've had some of the best Southern Fried Chicken in the world to compare.

In the episode with the b rank assassin the reason you don’t see him fight the boss is because he drags one of the prisoners that was playing dead into the boss room and lets the boss kill him. But they cut a lot of dialogue between him and the assassin where he learned what they did. It’s a great but brutal scene. I get why it was cut however I’m sad it was

So i wanna explain that all the ranks still have power gaps, basically you have low A rank and high A ranks for example, the higher the rank the bigger those gaps become S rank has the biggest gaps you could be S, SS or SSS and beyond. Cerberus was definitely Low A at most.

If you heard the season 2 announcement, it won't be years, it will be within this year or next year. It's sooner than you think.
@@josephcrickmore53019 2026 is what I heard after the delays. Which, considering the first season ended early 2024, is still waiting years for the next episode. I am not saying its a TERRIBLE thing. Hellsing Ultimate is one of the best anime ever made in terms of quality and they released 10 episodes of the course of 6 years, but you can't tell me it's not a hellava wait either. I'm just saying that the better the anime, the longer it takes to make properly, and the longer that time FEELS.
@@grantpflum6844 Calling BS on that 2026 release date. Where did you hear that? The delays haven't been confirmed and even if there were any, there's no chance it'd get delayed up to 2026. At worst, it'd probably be mid-2025, and that's assuming the production issues are so bad.

I have heard that a second season is being made and will come out late this year. But I doubt it will be this year. If they keep the animation like this I say it will be another year at least
