The Serpentine Track in Central Otago has to be one of the best on offer for Overlanding in New Zealand. This isolated, rugged and barren landscape houses a plethora of trails. We take one on and huddle round the small warmth we can as winter slaps us across the face!

Great trip I past thru there on the 29th, started snowing in poolburn got heavy by the top of the hill and kept snowing the whole way too lake onslow, I went via the old dustan rd tho and needed chains in the ended mostly for safety since it was getting pretty deep and the snow was turning to ice.
