Macetown, Is this New Zealand's best 4WD track?!

  • I take on the Macetown Track and the Arrow river solo in winter! With a total of 47 River crossings for the day, along with some amazing views and pieces of history.
This is a trip every 4wd'er and family should do! During the winter season the trail will be tough, muddy and slippery with the crossings frosty, cold and deep. If you want to head into Macetown for your first time, I advise you take it on in summer to start with. A wrong crossing here could drown your truck rather easily. Through the winter expect ice, snow, rock falls, landslides and more. This has the be New Zealand's Best 4WD Track.

Water levels are low and traffic is high from New Years on-wards for around 3 weeks ish.
