I love the Namco theme for this one, and it has become the soundtrack for me putting together my lecture this week... In my Intro Video Game Studies course. If I can, I'll try to figure out a way to work a shoutout into the lecture. 😂
M8 how did you just make a perfect playlist? like imagine being able to not put abillion songs on here and not feel like you were missing out, amazing tact and taste, Namco Sound Team were on their shit on the PS1
Was about to start working my way from the start of your channel after binging the Obscure & Forgotten and Japan Only playlists and here we are being blessed with a fresh mix-- the reason I found the channel in the first place :) Keep it up!
Fraid not, most of these tracks aren't on streaming sites. Im going to look at putting the mixes onto something like Mix cloud down the line, so folks can listen to them outside of RUclips.
@@SeanSeanson From what I understand RUclips doesn't like it when a creator puts out a video that doesn't reach the audience the algorithm has already determined is the main audience for their channel and it secretly lowers their recommendation score behind the scenes; and I can't imagine Retro game reviews/essays and Music mix tapes have that big of an overlap in their audience. Then again, I'm not a youtuber, just a random nobody, this is all just second or third hand knowledge based on anecdotes, you can just ignore me lol.
@@Ali-fs7ze Thank you, I do actually appreciate the folks care about this sort of stuff when it comes to the channel and are willing to give advice. It may have a negative overlap in some regards, but I've been quite lucky that the music mixes seem to get new people watching my main videos and they've now kinda settled in to being a regular thing existing viewers look forward too. Of course that's not to say it doesn't mean youtubes algorithm isn't punishing me for posting longer videos with an overall shorter reach as well you know. It's all very messy and confusing at times, but I've kinda learned to not worry too much about how RUclips analyzes all this stuff behind the scenes. I've found I'm happier when I don't focus on playing RUclipss game, and just make the stuff I wanna make. I may be dumb and stubborn but at least I'm content haha But thank you for the advice all the same, I know it comes from a good and logical place :)
These are always just too damn clever. Another cracking mix and the advert at the start was the icing on the cake
The namco sound team sure was wild at the psx era even silly games like mr driller had an astounding ost. thank you so much for this mix!
Namco: the gods of PS1 dance music without a doubt!
Track 3 - GRIP sounds like a fantastic crossover between an Orbital song and Rez by Underworld!

Make it happen, confuse your students!!! 😉
Ah yes, my new earworm for the day. I do love the random ad clips you use at the start of the mixes, it gives a bit of an expected lean in.
Another cool retro mix, I forgot how good some of the soundtracks are for these games, Awesome! Thanks for Sharing.
These mixes are fantastic. Got introduced to the channel by way of the Wheel videos, but finding your other stuff fantastic as well. Great job!
The Tekken Chicago theme is such a gem, it's all dark and industrial, but then the b-section or chorus thing is like mdma heaven.
Nina's Tekken 2 & 3 themes are goddamn masterpieces
Oh hell yeah thanks Sean! Perfect choice to open this with
THE RETURN OF THE KING
Fr though being listening to your mixes on repeat the past month or so
It lands on a Saturday 🎉

looking forward to your next video of obscure japanese games!
This is going into my Favorite Music list! 😁
Why is old school music so much more creative than new music man?
Less porn, more focus back in those days
@@AZAZEL_TK Why does everyone keep saying porn? My music taste hasnt changed a bit and everyone keeps saying that... so like... what am I missing?
Game industry hadn't become a soulless husk of live service games and pay to win microtransactions, also 90's dance music was just better.
@@EmergencyChannel Idk if I fully agree with 90s dance being better, but I will agree about things being soulless and a husk.
Awesome ending!
unreal
Damn that's some goooood vibes
nice one
Yo is that Cloaca
Bitchin’
Lol
god damn what a bunch of bangers! love em
No matter how many years go by, that Soul Edge opening theme will always be fire!!!
"Sucking not an option" lol. That sounds like a credo.
Great mix, although that last song just reminds me of another RUclipsr (Maximilian Dood) who uses that as his theme song haha.
Wow… that’s all I can say 🔥
Shame Mr Driller didn't make the cut on here, the series has some phenomenal music honestly. Still a sweet mix at the end of the day
This mix is SOOO good
That Soul Edge theme is one of the greatest video game themes of all time. Never heard that outro part before, definitely brings out the feels a bit
Best surprise I've had all month 😉 thank you 😃
Bitchin'.
Lets goooooo! This is hands down the best one so far
I might be dumb, but this is not on Spotify right?

TOO FIREE 🔥🔥
I never really listen to game soundtracks but this was seriously good! Thanks for sharing!
Looove the Klonoa banner! Your entire channel is just great! Makes me feel super nostalgic T_T
PlayStation indeed can produce mind-boggling effects
These are cool, but you should probably make a second channel for projects like these.
Any reason in particular?
