I think i totally did. I was not disappointed. Love that funky 80's j-pop. I sent this to my friend who's a mad Cowboy Bebop fan because of the similarities between this and the sound track.

The fact that one beagle can play so many insruments at once, with no aposable thumbs, all while flying, is truly remarkable.

That's actually why the beagle had to learn to fly first, to free up enough paws to play all the instruments.

Himiko was born in Sendai City, Miyagi Prefecture, Japan.
Started playing classical piano at the age of 7, as well as playing the electone and pipe organ.
At the age of 12, she participated in the "Yamaha Electone Competition" where she performed Bach's "Toccata and Fugue in D minor" and won second prize.
She studied composition from the age of 15 and won the Yamaha Electone Competition at the age of 16.
In college, she majored in music and graduated from the Music Department of Miyagi Gakuin University.
In 1979, she performed at the "Montreux Jazz Festival" in Switzerland as a member of the "Inner Galaxy Orchestra led by Bingo Miki.
The following year, 1980, she made her major record debut in Japan with "Don't Be Stupid," recorded with Ernie Watts (Sax).
Since then, she released a series of original albums in the 80s and 90s.
In 1999, she and her husband, guitarist Masatsugu Matsumoto, moved to her husband's hometown of Tottori, Japan.
She has participated in local music activities and received the "30th Tottori City Cultural Award" in 2005.
Unfortunately, her works were ignored by the music industry in Europe and the U.S., as she did not have the opportunity to sign release contracts in Western countries and international markets at her peak. So her releases albums remained in Japan, and unknown hidden from the rest of the world for a long time, until the advent of the Internet and media like RUclips.

This week when it finally goes on sale. The time has come.
However, it is a Tower Records exclusive release and can only be purchased from Tower Records Japan.
SONY, the original distributor, is the one who should be making the move, but the label has too much dead content of great albums by many Japanese artists that are not being reprinted.
It seems that they are no longer interested in the music and audio industries, which are no longer profitable, as they are too busy with insurance and banking businesses.
If that is the case, I hope they will sell their dead music copyrights to other companies and release them.

This did not disappoint
Yes! Great cover, and great music inside it
Holy shit this beagle is a fantastic musician

Unfortunately, her works were ignored by the music industry in Europe and the U.S., as she did not have the opportunity to sign release contracts in Western countries and international markets at her peak, and her releases remained in Japan, buried in Japan and hidden from the rest of the world for a long time.
Wait, what? So you're telling me Himiko Kikuchi isn't a beagle? :(
@@eliltayemane570 Nah she's just a 70 year old, really talented beagle
Does she still make music
This whole career was done by a female beagle? Awesome!

I love little sweet internet moments where the algorithm suggests an obscure and wonderful piece of content to a random group of us. How nice to share this flying dog and beautiful music. ❤️
not really random..."thou shallst feed the algorithm and the algorithm shall feed you back"
I get lots of those...but granted, this one is especially special...
stick to japan, lots of great music, 70-90´s in particular

I just finished the album and I'm already sad that I can never hear it again for the first time.
the bass line goes HARD
Knowing there was a moment in time when this beagle was playfully grinning under a dusk-tinted sky fills me with life-affirming emotions that chase away all sad thoughts.
just remember that the beagle in this picture lived in the 80s and is now long dead :D

What makes him flying? I’m confused as to how everyone unanimously agrees that he happens to be flying but I just see a black background he looks very happy but looks like he’s laying down 😄
@@NewportBox100s he's floating in the void

The bassist plays with so much personality!
The bass on this album SLAPS

that would be because this is actually funk music. not quite jazz.
you can tell caues synth/piano is the lead along with drums. but guitar is background.

fun fact: the album is called "flying beagle" because after this photo was taken, they took the dog and threw him out of a plane 2.8k feet off the ground! ❤ he is dead 💔

This is definitely beagle music I can imagine a beagle walking down a busy city street to get a bag of groceries for his owner 🥺😭
Beagles don’t walk they fly, duh
💀💀
If the beagle is like any beagle I know there's no way those groceries are finding their way back to the owner lol
i just imagine this being the music for a cartoon of a guy and his dog living in a small apartment in a city, and the dog always causing trouble.
Aaarroooo! *ROOF!*
funky dog always has my back
I'm extremely happy I clicked the beagle.
What a sick recommendation, thanks youtube
why is that the RUclips algorithm is consistently better at finding bangers than Spotify, which is meticulously designed to find bangers
I clicked on this because of the cover. I am very very pleased.

I was told by a experienced dog trainer that you’ll have better luck training a park bench than a beagle. Yet this beagle wrote and performed this album, plus is also an excellent pilot
love you!
🤣thank u for the laugh!
I have a beagle and that is pretty true.
Beagles are wonderfully funky dogs and somehow this music perfectly represents them. All the ones that have come into the kennel I work at have been quite wonderful, and their owners have also all seemed to be really nice people. Just all around good vibes.
I work at a kennel too, and every single beagle I’ve boarded has been a master escape artist

I think 80s jazz fusion from japan might be the most overlooked music ever. Pure seratonin.

Very good album, my Beagle grew wings and flew off, haven't seen him in two weeks, 10/10, send help
Underrated😂
before growing wings, did they look at you for about 45 minutes at a time, distort their face in a way that makes your vision seem as if you are looking through a fisheye lens, and play japanese jazz through their slightly open mouth?? if so, they may be the reincarnate of the good boy on the cover tbh
Really, mine sat on his doghouse and rode it like a plane to France, said he was chasing down some dude called the "Red Baron"
