Thank you for letting me know that there is no time pressure and that everything can be recrafted. I feel a little more confident experimenting with things now that I know I can always recover them later.

except it is totally not true: first of all, your memories fade every day, so if you need a particular memory to boost a particular character to open a particulare room, you need to carefully plan your whole production chain, otherwise you will find yourself without enough time at the end of the day to unlock the room you were aiming for. Second, and much more important, every eight season it can randomly appear a Numa season: it last only one day, some special events are available, and after it you loose ALL your memories, including "permanents" ones and lessons.
Basically, they are lulling you in a false sense of security, only to backstab you when you least expect it...

Another note on memories and assistants: talk to assistants without adding a card to upgrade their aspects, and they'll give you random memories, usually stronger than considering Things, and gives you more power for your Element/shilling.

Your videos have really given me more confidence in this game! Also I just saw you're making rimworld guides too, so that's next in my queue!

Lol, I realized after this that I've already watched a ton of your videos! I'm very unobservant I guess. Love your videos man.

The multi-desk vs. consider tip for memories was (chef kiss) for me. Thanks for that one!

Amazing video, thank you! Came here looking for exactly as you said, a pointer, because I was beginning to feel grindy in the game, like I was missing some key aspect.
This got me some fresh ideas to tackle the game now!!

I knew you could use fragments on Assistants to boost them up, but I had no idea you could use drinks, food and even memories on them too! You're a life-saver!

Realy good tips! I'd also be interesting in you going over beasts, pets, and gathering.
I never know where to gather (like at the moor and shore) or how useful it is. The few times i've done it, I havent really got anything useful (although im sure itll be useful at some point).
Pets/beasts look fun but I heard you have to spend your food items on them? Great guides, thank you!

I've gotten some food from the pear tree, but I need to see if anything can eat it. Also some assistants can use the wood and you can use the stone at one of the crafting stations. Also it looks like some of the jars of sand and similar items can be used for crafting. I haven't used them much, but I've had a piece of wood help me a few times.

@@jefferylittleton1005 Absolutely I was able to use wood with one of the townsfolk/assistants. Most of the other gathering items I found, like you mentioned, seem like they will be useful in crafting. I'm still pretty early in the game though, and those crafting items aren't so useful yet. I'm wondering if it's worth gathering early in the game, or will it just keep giving crafting items I can't use yet.

@@ndb6ndk99 I'm just now getting into crafting and it seems there will be a use case for a lot of this stuff. I was able to use crafting to get some nice stuff to use to read some books and open some rooms. I will say that I started a spreadsheet today and went through all of my books to log the memories associated with them and it's helping me a lot too.

Could you make a video on the inks and generally like on crafting and what items are for what? I find myself lost with all the things I can find and gather, it gets pretty overwhelming and it's kind of hard to keep track of everything. I also started keeping notes on books and what memories you get from them but I don't even know what else i'm meant to do other than upgrading my skills

I appreciate you staying grounded for the new player. Sometimes you click a little too quick, but I do pause. Just old and slow on my side. Thanks for a great training video!

@Ic0nGaming Every little bit helps. You have a solid talent for breaking down complex content. I watched a few other channels before yours. Not all bad, but most where hard to follow. Again TY.

I just finished the game blind and I really recommend you start using those consumables you find around the house at around the mid points of the game. I made the mistake of saving everything and never using anything other than what I crafted and it took me 70 hours to beat the game when it could've been so much faster had I used those item to speed up the exploration and crafting.

Thank you for such a wonderful guide! It comforts me a lot! But I'm not sure if I can obtain infinite lessons. I've upgraded some of those I've already put in my tree. I'm worried. do I need to start again?

I’ve been playing a while now, is there a way to tell how many years have passed if you loose track? Is there a time limit to the game? Or does it end when you open the last room?

There are some skills which have the "chandlery" aspect. How/where do I use these skills to actually make candles? I haven't found a way or a workbench to actually use these chandlery skills or at least I don't think so... is there anything I should keep an eye out for?

Is there any way at Sweet Bones to attract a certain type of visitor that aligns with a particular aspect? Of course it's valuable to match the type of visitor with the memory aspects of the day to use it effectively, but I typically meet visitors who do not match that aspect. Thanks again for these videos!

None that I know of sadly. The assistants are either random (when you use cash + soul shard) or depending on the season (only cash). I've had several times my issues as well in combining the strong weather of the day with a fitting assistant ;)
