I think they outdid themselves with this one. The visuals are perfect, the UI is so much cleaner. It'll take some getting used to of course, but it'll be a fantastic ride.
I just picked this up on the steam sale and i was SO confused at the interface! Your video has already helped so much, I think this will be a cozy, captivating game.
Having played Cultist Simulator I approached the game with the intent to explore my way to greater knowledge but I knew I was missing something. This video does a great job of explaining things without giving too much away, thanks!
I had no clue that you could zoom in on the keepers lodge and grab items from it! I've been stuck at that step for like 3 hours now! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!!!
I love the lore of this game but found it so intimidating to adjust to the UI and clicking properly into the gameplay flow (I had the same issue with Cultist Simulator) - these videos have helped a lot in easing my anxiety- I got my spreadsheets from redditors on the ready to give it a better prepared show
Take the Smith to The Inn. Dry your book, take the Book to the post office. Try to unlock the other houses now either with the smith or drop a soul fragment and money into the inn to hire somebody else. Either one of these will help you to unlock the next people I hope.
No need to rush the introductions and waste your shillings, you'll find things inside the lodge and the library that may help you add aspects to the Smith so that he can be used to introduce you to them (use the talk function). You'll find dandelion wine in the lodge that can be used with the Smith to let him introduce you to the Reverend for example. The memories you get might be used for this purpose too.
I'm still compiling a list, but i believe book memories can only go to 2 of an aspect (unless numen). 3 of an aspect or more will need to be crafted, most are scholar level ones. I think Old Wound (Winter 3 Moon 2 Edge) is likely the only apprentice level one.
@@kevin0117rcI recently discovered that damaging your Soul Fragments in certain ways (this one was eating in the Tavern during Numa Season) created a special Memory which had 4 Edge and 2 of other aspects. Kinda like the reward for going mad. These were the strongest memories I've found so far which were not crafted. I really don't know if you could mimic this effect by reading contaminated books.
@@preslavprodanov2149 Interesting, I'm guessing that you wont get that memory or perhaps its a different memory if you re read the book? If not, then that would be a nice replacement for crafting those types of memories. And @Ic0nGaming oh nice! Edge memories are pretty rare, I haven't discover much of those so far. I will need to try that during the next numa. So far i have just been earning coins during it.
I needed this video to get started, and watching it reinforced how much I hate this game. There's absolutely nothing about that dialog, for example, that says "this is how you dry out your book." It's all dragging stuff at random until something happens that you didn't in any way plan.

Yeah, took me a while myself to find that out. Let's say I was already quite desperate about finding that key ^^
13:58 The reverend actually can unlock the lodge, he has the knock aspect (key symbol) which is one of the three aspects that can be used.
Love this THANK YOU! You and Fantastic Worlds are the real ones for CS and BOH game play help!

note you can dry the book anywhere I dried mine at the smith's place@@Ic0nGaming
Hire miners to introduce you to the kill and smith, not sure who can introduce to church guy, I got him to start.

Do you know how we can get a memory with at least 3 of some aspect (doesn't matter much which) that isn't a weather memory?
Reading books you have already mastered. I haven't found one churning out more than 2 per aspect though.

I managed to get an omen with 3 aspect as a reward for reading a book for the first time

never played a game so obtuse and asinine right from the start
