Great video. I think a very fair review. I feel CX bashing is all the rage amongst RUclipsrs just now. Yes, its not on a par with Qatar's amazing product and Singapore airlines and Emirates better too I think, but its far from terrible. The hard product is decent and reliably consistent compared to Qatar and the service I still found attentive even though the whole airline is on its knees and morale is so low. To be honest with everything they've been through with the 12 months of the protests and then 3 years HK of being closed for Covid I'm amazed they are still as good as they are, especially given the HK gov far from being supportive is actively hostile towards CX for purely political reasons few outside of HK fully understand. Anyway thanks for being fair!
Yea, it may be different on other flights but as you said, one should also take into account the difficult recent years. But I always try to be as objective as possible 👍.
Impressive video and I have flown on CX 4 times on their first route HKG-MNL on the following planes B777-267 B777-367 non er B747-467 & A340-313X. In terms of their Alliance partners CX > AA & AS🇺🇲 which is also the same is said in the German Speaking countries in Star Alliance SN LX OS🇦🇹 LH🇩🇪 > UA🇺🇲. In North America Star Alliance it's AC🇨🇦 > UA🇺🇲 which is why UA Star Alliance Gold opt for AC over UA.
Great! I would have loved to fly on the CX 747 once 😃. I mainly agree with the airline choice, though I don't mind flying UA, at least in Polaris Business which is nice (except that the food quality is lacking). Economy is a bit basic. But they also have the most functional airline app in the world, in my opinion 👍.
Just discovered your trip report. Well made, nice and informative. The main feedback is that your video could really use sound equalization. Voice was soft especially the live talking unless you held the mic up, but when music came on, it was blasting because I had the volume up to hear your voice lol. Still enjoyed it though!
