It’s always fun to fly a new aircraft - but it was super cool to fly one that had entered service only 5 days earlier.
Join me as I fly a brand-new Cathay Pacific A350-1000 from Amsterdam to Hong Kong. I was luckily enough to be flying in luxury in the Cathay Pacific Business Class.
This Cathay business class review covers all aspects of the Cathay Pacific business class service including the seat, inflight dining, the Cathay entertainment system and of course, the Cathay cabin crew.

That`s the most positive review I`ve seen for Cathay Business in a while now. I think their new catering is making a big difference, and hopefully an indication of a return to the quality that they were once known for.

Just recently flew both the Cathay Pacific A350-900 (Brisbane to Hong Kong) and A350-1000 (Hong Kong to Tokyo Narita) and was incredibly impressed with both experiences. The seat is the most comfortable business class seat I've experienced so far, with plenty of leg room. The food was great and the service, on the whole, was excellent. I would definitely fly Cathay again (hopefully for a much longer journey net time so that I can enjoy the experience more).

i went to st Petersburg from Edinburgh and stopped at Amsterdam. it is an impressive airport but like you said a lot of walking involved

Another enjoyable and informative report. Thanks for showing the menu at the end. Most vloggers tend to show the menu so quickly that one can't read it. I like Cathay Pacific's service and this new A350 but as I travel alone, I would be upset if I couldn't get a window seat. As always, take care and Happy Travels!

Lovely video from 3 years ago. I will be in business class on an A350-900 but I believe it’s comparable. I mostly follow you in IG but I was looking for videos on RUclips and stumbled upon this one. Thanks for sharing. Hope Cathay recovers to their gold old days.

Personally at least, it isn't. These days I find that things that are advertised are not particularly good. Better to do your own research, you'll find hidden gems.

Another great video Dennis. Flown a Alaska Airlines 737-900 on its first day of service (and also my first time ever in First Class) in 2013 and the next time I flew Alaska three years later it was another 737-900 and it had been in services less than 3 weeks.

The A350-1000 is undoubtedly the best aircraft in the world. Just flew the screamliner and the A350 back to back and was a huge difference in noise level, humidity and comfort in general.
I love watching how strangers react to you filming 😂 it’s like they’ve never heard of RUclips lol!

I just want to say how much I love your videos. Just watched your QA with with Jeb Brooks. The thing I love is that all you guys. Don't just respect each other but appreciate each other. I can happily finish a bottle of red mixing between you guys ( not forgetting the Pauls ). I am 3/4 through a bottle of red right now so hence my strange request. My Father designed the thrust reverser on the Rolls Royce Trent 700. He passed last year and every time I see you and the guys post an A330 report. I think of him and it makes me feel proud. The next time you are on an A330 could you do a shout out to Mike Jones. It would make my mum cry, but in only the way love and passion can.
Great video, I travelled business on the A330 and it was nice, A350 looks a step up!
Excellent review, mate! My very first flight in business class was onboard Cathay Pacific (A330-300 PER-HKG) so this airline has a special place in my heart and is even my favourite one so far. Next month I‘m flying with Air Canada and SWISS, also for the first time in their business class. I‘m on tenterhooks for those two flights! 😃

wow. what a beauty the A350-1000 is. i flew Singapore business for 88k pts A350-900 ULR LAX-SIN the 2nd week of service and it such an amazing plane. such a smooth ride. the beverages, food and service was flawless. the seat had angled foot well, but it worked out rather well. I might have took two 6 hour naps lol airbus killed it with this plane bigtime

I also love Cathay Pacific. However, IMO, the flimsy newsprint menu is not a collectible. Which is probably why they downgraded it for people like me who always keeps the menu...even on Emirates First.

Great video , I have a question about this 1000 variant with Cathey ,back in Jan I was on the way from HK to San Francisco, during take off , the plane interior started shaking really bad , I can see the overhead cabin moving , and a strange gasoline smell , really scared me , cabin crew said it’s nothing to be worried about, have you noticed anything similar?

Thank you for this Dennis. I am flying on the A350 - 1000 from Hong Kong to Zurich next week, and interestingly my wife and I have seats 16D and 16G. I have flown on Cathay Pacific A350 in business class several times now and have always found the service and comfort excellent. Last year on flights from New Zealand to Paris we had one leg on a 777 and it was very noisy and much less enjoyable in comparison to the A350. I enjoy your reviews, keep up the good work.
Nothing like a succinct and all encompassing review. All in under 15mins. Not like some of those 30min sagas some ‘reviewers’ upload.
The A350-1000 seems like a massive aircraft and Cathay Pacific seems like a fantastic airline. I thoroughly enjoyed the review.

Thanks mate - really appreciate it. I fear the Crows are aiming for an entire season without a win - anything for those priority draft picks! Currently I'm far happier looking at the A-League ladder and seeing Melbourne Victory having lost 6 in a row are sitting second bottom. Long may their losing streak last. :) All that said hope you're holding up ok in the lockdown over there.

IMO this is an extremely good review on your CX A350-1000 flight from AMS - HKG. The food look tastly delicious and CX using new cutlery plate/bowl with a nice colour palate. Your Flatbed seat looks amazing. Kudos to you. Thank you for posting this review.

Always love watching your upbeat honest reviews. I'm an 18 y/o av geek and my dad's a cap. for American Airlines, so I've been fortunate enough to be able to travel to Australia and New Zealand (among MANY other countries haha), even got to climb the Christchurch Cathedral before it collapsed. Weve gotten to fly first class with Qantas, Amer., and a few others. Absolutely love these videos, always interesting to me to see the differences in airlines, you show them so well haha. Safe and happy travels, cheers! :) (P.S., as an American, I've always thought Rugby's more fun than football ;)
