Good afternoon Madam Ify, I came across your channel yesterday and followed your recipe and procedures to cook egusi soup, its came out so good and delicious. The scent filled my house and the environment to the extent some of my neighbors came knocking at my door to have taste.
I was filled with joy within me.
Thank you so much.
I happy I came across your channel.
Look forward to more videos.
Best regards!
I have been craving egusi but laziness won't let me go to the market, after watching this vid at 11:15pm, I've made up my mind to hit the market tomorrow 🤤🤤
Hi Ify, I'm one of those who put eggs in their egusi😂. So what I do is I season the ground egusi seeds with crayfish, some salt and then add 1 egg white to the egusi and mix till it's lumpy. The way my mum explained it when she was teaching me is that it helps to make the egusi more lumpy as the egg is a binding agent.
I set aside and pour in the egusi paste into the cooking pepper mix and finish up the rest of the cooking.
And no, the egusi doesn't have any taste of eggs.
Hope you'll try it too sometime 😁
Haven't done this though, but it can't have any taste of egg since there is no addition of the yellow part of the egg.
I follow your steps and prepared this delicious soup my man ate it he asked who cooked it I said I did it myself he said it’s a lie becoz omg the source was so delicious thank u so much ma for the I’m so grateful 🙏now I can proudly say I knw how to cook Egusi soup 🍜
The egg can be added to the egusi with the onions before you make it like a paste.
That's how my grandmother cooked it then in the 80's and it taste good with dry waterleafs and i use it to eat rice omg!!!! I always have good dreams....
This looks yummy and the GALLOPS 😂😂😂😂

Yes .. my step mom taught me to make it with egg .. just one egg.. it's so good and you see attest to so the egusi balls. Just mix the dry blended egusi with seasoning crayfish onions blended and an egg and portion on low heat .. and your meat stock and the proteins and there you have it. Add yellow oziza seed blended, leaf and ogori and dawadawa . Premium egusi lumping soup
I will try this one day. Thank you for sharing ❤️

Sammy from Dubai
Wonderful, am a big fan and I love everything about you and your cooking.
Thank you so much Chidinma❤️
Thanks a lot Ma, Well.. i cook almost like you do, only difference is i don't mix the egusi with blended onions, but I don't put craydish in my Egusi at all, especially so much crayfish and yours was even out towards the end, meaning the fresh crayfish flavour will still be there, try it without crayfish you'll love the taste more..❤
It appears you don't love crayfish. But that doesn't mean it's the best way to cook Egusi. I mean what is a proper Egusi soup without crayfish???
@@deblessedone3998 Use the method she used, then avoid the crayfish part, don't put at all, Taste your soup, thank me later.
I don't need to thank you later, no thanks. Our taste buds are obviously different. 😃😃😃
Congratulations 👏🎉🍾🍷 to him,, his home shall be blessed and peaceful forever, Amen 🙏🙏🙏🙏

Mix the raw egg with Egusi into a paste and fry with your onions / pepper . Yummyliciously lovely 😍
I am going to try it but pls help provide a little more clarity. After putting the raw egg, will I still add puréed onions? Like how many eggs will I need for the quantity of Egusi I used? Thanks a lot.

I put Egg in mine
After adding the onion you can then break 2 egg inside depends on the quantity of the Egusi, then add a little water to mix it up very, then add it to the stew on fire.
