The reason is since most people paid over sticker price for their vette the last few years, gm just assumed the next batch of buyers would pay the higher cost. In reality there were only so many individuals interested in a vette, they now have them. With the higher price now, those who were willing to buy are not there because the ones who did buy over sticker are now just holding on to them because they shelled out the over sticker, and dont want to waste money on a new one while, just trying to get the most for their money with what they have now. What a farce.
