You miss something about Italy. Actually, there are many students who come here to work illegally. And also, the student permit is a nightmare. You need to wait for at least a year to take your permit, which means your visa will expire during this time. For European students, that is OK. But for the students outside Europe, that is a nightmare. Because they need to wait for the permit!

just you know, if you can get your ISEE checked (calculates how much you earn a year) and you have it low you can lower the tuition fees or even not pay them at all
