As someone who graduated from a university in Paris, nr. 1 thing a non-EU student should know is that France doesn’t offer open work permits to graduates. That means that once you graduate, you can’t stay in France to work. The only option France gives is a residence permit for 1 year, which only allows to do an internship in France, which is severely underpaid and wouldn’t lead to a full-time job (CDD or CDI) afterwards. It’s a huge shame, because plenty of countries in EU offer open work permits to graduates, for example Denmark and Poland does. UK is non-EU and it also does it since around 2021. Don’t get fooled by low tuition fees, those fees she mentioned are only in the public universities, only couple of them are prestigious enough like the ones related to mathematics and engineering degrees. Most good universities are Grand École, which never cost less than 20K EUR per year. Check the list of top universities in France - HEC, INSEAD, EDHEC - they all cost crazy money. There’s no point to pay so much to have no guaranteed working rights after graduation at all. As someone familiar with education in EU, I’d say best study options are in Denmark - all EU students there do internships during studies, because they get both the pay from the employer + 1000 EUR per month from the government - it’s the most lucrative deal in whole of EU. Non-EU don’t get the 1000 EUR, but because it’s so common for so many non-Danish speaking EU citizens to do internships, it’s also not difficult for non-EU students to end up doing paid internship during studies, which by the way - can be done part-time and hence prolong the time getting paid to a very long time. Also, Denmark has open work permits for graduates and it’s quite uncommon to require speaking Danish in most businesses dealing with international trade. It’s not like French, not a language of international communication.
