I member Mannimarco from oblivion. He was just some random necromancer in a cave that looked like every other cave in oblivion. Daggerfall Mannimarco is a lot better.
Remember it was just a possessed High Elf.
Yeah and he's even more badass in df. For example he doesn't send letters he sends zombies or other undead WITH letters etched inside them so u have to kill them to get the leter. When he summons you to his dungeon hes like yeah just kill anything you want i can raise them again later. Like bruh does not care
Its crazy how Daggerfall has been revived, the Unity Project is a godsend
Yeah I agree he looks more like a dreaded presence in daggerfall
I guess we know where Tod got his quote from... Elder Scrolls: It-Just-Works-Daggerfall
I really like to watch your videos while im stoned, i feel like you are that cousing that is more fun to watch him play that play the game by myself, i wish you a safe journey in this life.
Laughed so hard at those zombies! They're both terrifying and ridiculous!
In oblivion he’s supposed to be this powerful necromancer, but he’s armed with an iron dagger.
He knows a bunch of spells, but doesn’t have the magica reserves to cast them.
Normally ends up being the weakest boss fight in the game.
In my playthrough he was bugged so that I couldn't damage him, so I could only slowly whittle his health down with a Reflect Damage enchantment I happened to have on my shield. Took forever to figure that out, which made the battle ironically more intense again.

lol. That’s pretty funny.
I once had him come towards me dialoguing away like a champ, & falling into the water, getting himself caught under an obstacle whilst submerged.
He dialogued away at me & when the “fight” commenced, he promptly drowned.
Older games have poor AI, but I've always enjoyed abusing it because the enemies always felt too strong. Funny how that wouldn't be acceptable in modern games, but seems to have been a staple of my childhood.
Love these dagger fall uploads! Keep em coming ! 🙌🏽
will do@
love these, been watching for years :)
Loving watching you play through this you’re so funny. I have been playing Morrowind for the first time and loving it, now I’m thinking I’m going to give daggerfall a go as well.
If you do the OG version make sure you have a handy guide to help you along the way since it's so obtuse. The game actually came with a massive manual originally so anybody telling you that you need to go in blind is lying to you. Actually it would probably be helpful with the unity version too, since it's essentially the same game.
@@TheCantinaChannel awesome good to know, thank you much!
Very excited for you to find out how confusing the main quest is
I think this is why they say it was someone pretending to be Mannimarco.
this game is wild
Man the caves is this game are upper ass
ya they are absolutely mind-numbing.
I remember being like 12-13 playing Oblivion and being intimidated of fighting him…only for him to slowly back up and die after 3-4 hits
sounds about right
Alf was great, you bastard!
lmao, that thing terrified me
Why didn’t Bethesda do any remakes of the old, ‘90s games? They’d sell like hot cakes for sure.
Starfield is Daggerfall in space, and everyone is complaining about it for being like Daggerfall even if they don't know why.
@@benjaminharmon6541 maybe I need to check that one out.
@@benjaminharmon6541in what way is Starfield like daggerfall?
I hope Cantina finishes this game.
don't worry I will
@@TheCantinaChannel hell yes. Thanks, Mason
In Daggerfall, King Of Worms was not Mannimarco. That was a retcon Oblivion did for... no understandable reason.
In Daggerfall, Mannimarco was another sorceror that lived long ago and owned the Necromancers Amulet. That's like.. it. Then Oblivion writers apparently felt the need to mash these two characters together because having more than one necromancer having existed ever is just too many to keep track of.
huh, I didn't realize that. It's pretty weird they would mash them together only to them make his oblivion appearance as lame as possibly.
@@TheCantinaChannel Yeah, it almost feels like some kind of character assassination by the writers of Oblivion :D
Not to mention the poor original Mannimarco who was just a one-line reference to a legendary sorceror of ages past.
Then Oblivion goes and makes both characters lame for the price of one :D
@@TheCantinaChannelfrom what I remember, Mannimarco and King of Worms was supposed to be a shattered reincarnation or something like that. So fragments of the same entity. They are sort of the same person in different bodies
epic fr
I love your voice!
thank you!
i love you
I really like the 3D, rotatable maps in this game. Way better than Oblivion and Morrowind, in that regard.
I like the min concept but their actually a nightmare here because they constantly block other layers and it's really hard to figure out where you need to go.
Really? I hated them. They made no sense to me at all. Morrowind's were pretty bad too with the vertical stuff. I actually can follow Oblivion's most of the time so thumbs up there.
Hey, dude.
Just curious; have you ever played Star Control 2?
Never even heard of it before
Capital!
To your chat: Soviet architecture is actually beautiful as it is functional, and and claiming Marx "just stole from Thomas More" is hilarious, like something a 17 year old who's never read either would repeat after hearing it on Reddit or something lol
Anyway 🚩, and RIP Alf ✊️
Sir, this is a Wendy's.
@@dirgofserb I am literally responding to the chat on screen *1:05*
Also this literally isn't a Wendy's lol
Pretty sure I've heard Cantina shitting on Daggerfall a while back. Hopefully he's learning the error of his ways. This game is better than Oblivion, and WAY better than Skyrim.
The dungeons are fucked though, honestly sometimes I just do the dungeon for an hour and if I havent figured it out I just console command myself to the final boss/item
I think was gaslit into believing bethesda games were good. Mannimarco on oblivion to me just looks like a complete lack of care for your setting. Just have the most frilly sounding dude voice an evil necromancer cause "elf voice actor"
