Daggerfall's postal service offers next level service. You can be in the most remote corner of the godforsaken wasteland, exiting a dungeon and the courier can be there to greet you and give a letter. Expect a lot more letters during the main quest. You're gonna have penpals to share.

I think using predefined classes in this game is rather big disadvantage/additional challenge. When custom classes alow you things like immunities to lot of things, expertise for weapon types (more succesful and effective attacks with them) and MOST IMPORTANTLY - 3x mana points for intelligence!
And I am talking from rather fresh experience - your streams inspired me to try Daggerfall for myself. But you know, the less masochistic version - Unity. My first character was Spellsword Dark Elf but she got bullied by pretty much everyone. Now, my second character is Dark Elf too, but custom one. I created specialized Blade expert with 3x mana points with one quirk - he cant cast spells during daylight, which means dungeons are still OK. :)

So hyped to see more! I forgot how much in this game just goes completely unexplained, like the fact that the main quest randomly stops, and that you can run out of inventory space for your quest rewards, and additionally how guards will just randomly kill you for walking in the wrong room in the castles with layouts that are as nonsensical as the dungeons.
Also, I think the only other game that has underwater movement so slow is KotOR 1.

Bruh why didnt Oblivion and Skyrim continue with that?? When I was in Oblivion, I often didnt know where I should head to, only to find out I was on the wrong level!! This 3D map would've been so damn helpful!!

It's amazing until you actually try to use it and realize you can't see any of the levels your trying to look at because they're covered by other levels and everything looks the same and trying to figure out what direction you need to go in is a nightmare because who knows which direction is which.

Or you can use Recall spell to set anchor near dungeon exit. You can then use it to teleport back to anytime you want. ;)
