I hope someday to be able to make something half as beautiful as that.
I'm honored :-)
Awesome! Best sounding anvil on RUclips, too.
Well thank you sir :-) Olga does have quite the singing voice in my humble opinion lol
That is super impressive. A lot of hard work and a gorgeous result!
Thank you so much
@@ChristCenteredIronworks thank you both for teaching & inspiring! I have been making leaf keychains as a beginner practice and following your videos - I will not be sellling my work, or become a professional - but I do so much enjoy learning from you!
Thanks for the continuation of the project videos, and glad to learn it's gold leaf, not gold paint. Would still like to see a video on your gilding process, not that I'm about to invest in the gold to do it myself!
Thanks Roy,inspirational .
Soul food with high iron content!
No disrespect intended, I take great pleasure watching your work on this particular content. So as such its soul food for me lol
🙏 God bless yall now, well wishes sirSir
Crawford out 🧙♂️
God bless you Mr Crawford and thank you for all the constant support!
Awesome! you are the scroll master for sure!
thank you for sharing your art
Man I'm a young Christian and been forging longer than I have been serving and watching you work iron to the glory of God is wonderful. Man was created to work and although we are in a sin cursed world doesn't mean we can't provide in a job we like. You don't have to hate work you sometimes may not feel like it
That’s high end stuff right there Roy!! Nice work!!
Thank you brother I'm an admirer of your work as well :-) keep it up and maybe just maybe we can save this type of Ironwork for future generations..
Excellent craftsmanship
Beautiful work Roy!
Beautiful. Can't wait to see what you forge next. Always great to see ur videos. Can't wait to see more videos. Keep up the great craftsmanship and hard work Roy. Forge On. Keep Making. God bless.

@@ChristCenteredIronworks Thank you!
A stunning piece. Thank you very much for sharing.
Thank you Wayne !
Very nice, thank you.
Thank you
Well, damn. I THOUGHT I was a pretty decent architectural blacksmith, then I saw this and realized how much more I have to learn.
Very nice work im finding it very interesting that the leaves are rivited on to the piece and not forge welded on to it
So much cool 😎
Roy, healing up from my knee replacement. Watching this video. What size of material did you use to make the leaf turning stake?
Its beautiful man, what kinda paint did you use to get that rich gold hugh
That is gilded with 23 karat gold leaf . not paint :-)
Hi roy do you get a lot of hammer marks in your scroll is it possible to prevent them or limit them when hand forging
What gold paint did you use for the leaves?
Iv noticed that when blacksmith make tools for the vice that they don't put shoulders on them like they do for hardy tools why is that
Any special reason for not using hot rivets? Not a criticism, just curious and lacking knowledge on such things.😁 I would have expected the rivets to be glowing when they went in.
Trying to place a hot rivet in that application would be almost impossible! depending on the rivet and size of rivet, setting them cold like that is possible. Larger rivets in applications such as that would be placed cold but the stem would be heated with a torch and then peened over.
@@shadetreeforge Thank you Frank. You mean physically holding/carrying/placing such a small rivet would be too difficult with tongs? That does make sense. They'd be a bit hot to use tweezers. 😁
Would using a bigger rivet have any advantages. Torches must be a 𝑓𝑎𝑖𝑟𝑙𝑦 recent development surely?
1st maybe lolololol
