    The trouble with most of these camera comparisons is the time they spend dwelling on minor saturation and colour temperature differences that can easily be adjusted to suit personal preferences with basic sliders on included editing software. Leaving little or no attention to the things that do matter to photographers viz image resolution, sharpness, bokeh, dynamic range, exposure accuracy etc...

    I've been using the S24 Ultra camera the most lately. In good lighting its on par with most of what i take on my Pixel 8 Pro or 15 Pro Max. As soon as light starts leaving the scene, i just don't like the results. Idk if its the 200MP sensor they're using, but the Pixel 8 Pro outdoes it a lot. I do love the rest of the phone!

      Try reducing the pixel-binning on the S24 Ultra (like she did in the video). Your results will likely often look better, although the colors will still be punchier than what the Pixel generates.

      How's the battery life on them?? I have a Pixel 7 and am looking at the 8 Pro or S24U, with trade in the S24U would only be $100 more than the 8 Pro. I'm assuming cameras on either should be better than my Pixel 7.

    • @EdisonHasNoSide
      @EdisonHasNoSide 4 месяца назад +4

      @@AQUARIAN208 No complaints on battery for either. The S24 Ultra does last longer, but the Pixel 8 Pro is definitely the better "point-and-shoot" camera between the two when you start pressing extra options.

    If you have the time to edit color can be adjusted, so the Google works just as well. It's the difference for discussion when you compare a jpeg vs raw. You have to edit the raw to achieve the true color balance but the raw gives you more image density to work with. So in this case I'll take the Google and adjust.

      Good question It's probably cuz the majority of their software still belongs in old phone formats because most people still have the older phones as a whole. So if they change it it would mess up the software that's supposed to accommodate all the phones. Especially if you have a Google One membership.

    I have a Pixel Pro 7 and the camera is great, HOWEVER, its network connectivity problems (i.e., cell network, wifi to LAN computers, etc.) are so glaring that I unfortunately have to toss phone. For example, I have to reboot my home router, and/or, restart the phone to access files on my LAN machines---and even then it only works sporatically with either the connection or copy/paste of files only working sometimes. There are many complaints in online reviews that point this out---it appears to be a problem that Google is aware of but is slow to fix. Too slow for me. Going to go with Samsung.

      I agree that the chrome on the bar scratches too easily, but most people are going to use their Pixel with a case to protect their investment.
      Also, if rumors become reality, the Pixel 9 series will have a redesigned camera bar, so we'll see if Google makes it more scratch-resistant; perhaps anodized or something similar ?

    All these review websites always sight Samsung as being more expensive, BS! When it comes to trade-in deals Sammy is king. I got my pre-order S24 ultra with double storage free, free cases, and 550 trade in value. I got mine for cheap. Google and Apple give you peanuts for trade in value. I'd like to see this mentioned ONCE in these videos. S24 Ultra has no peers

    • @sharkfintech5893
      @sharkfintech5893 4 месяца назад +1

      All fair points, but keep in mind: Not everyone has a late-model smartphone to trade in, and some phones (like Pixels, Motorolas, etc) have _much_ lower trade-in values with OEMs and carriers.
      So, "the price is the price", everything else is relative, because carrier specials/incentives and trade-in "mileage" will vary.
      In my view, once premium flagships reached the $1K-$1,500 level - what a consumer might spend on a decent laptop - they ALL became very arguably overpriced ! 😩 🤑

    Pixel and iPhone spank Samsung.

    • @sharkfintech5893
      @sharkfintech5893 4 месяца назад

      They all have their strengths and weaknesses. To start, Pixels and iPhones may have the most "realistic" stills, but as you can see from her comparisons, sometimes the punchier, saturated colors of Samsung make for a better pic. iPhones bend toward a "warm" (sometimes even orange-y) tint, and Pixels can produce "flat", less-contrasty shots.
      Samsungs have the best tele-zooms - now including Nightography with the S24 Ultra - but I rate Pixels first and iPhones second for general Night mode (standard & wide-angle lenses/sensors).
      From what I've seen, iPhone is still king for quickest-to-shutter & burst rates. Samsung has improved its phones' notorious "shutter lag" issue, but they can still sometimes blur people & animals in motion.
      For video, iPhone is second to none when it comes to stabilization, Pro Res & S-log features, and the iPhone 15 Pro series can now record directly to an external SSD.
      But for the vast majority of consumers, Samsung & Pixel video quality is more than enough, and even some content creators utilize them to shoot their Shorts, long-form content, and/or livestream. Samsungs even have the option to record in 8K ! 😮
