Hey Guys ! I think you’ve made a mistake In 3:21 min You’re comparing Pixel and IPhone 50 MP shoot with Samsung 200 MP shoot,,, The Samsung photo came out less detailed compared to other 2 phones because there wasn’t sufficient light for 200 MP high res shoot,,, You guys know that capturing in high res you need more lights and it was sunset ,,, You need to capture it with 50 MP mode ,,, I saw many videos where Samsung beat IPhone in 200 MP shoot bcz there was more light for that ,,, Thank you
I think this phone camera comparison needs to add another frame from a pro camera. This will let us see how image processing is done per phone and how close the colors are to reality. Good job, guys!
Guys, when evaluating, consider using a points-based system. Sometimes a photo may be 10 times better, but one point might not correlate with that. Additionally, make sure to assess based on categories. For example, you could conclude by saying something like, 'Pixel is 10 times better than Ultra in zoom but worse in low light.'
If they did that , the iphone will always win , its the most reliable camera , samsung might compete with some photos while it will take very low score on others .
Agreed. A simple 3,2,1 point system (3 for best pic, 1 for worst) for each comparison. Then tally how much each camera got. Otherwise, mkhb will remain the fairest camera comparison.
@@amgil475Not really, Marques Brownlee did that in 2022 and last year and Pixel always won. The iPhone only won when they counted video too, but if you count only photos, Pixel actually took 1st and 2nd places with millions of votes from his followers.

In reality pretty much every review I’ve seen, shows the iPhone has the most realistic photos and the Samsung over processes and ups saturation same with pixel. You can see it in all the photos how they look so much more vibrant when in reality that’s not how the scene looks. And you can even see it in this video, they say the colors are more accurate and it always comes out to be the iPhone.
I'm a professinal photographer and my wife has the Pixel 8 Pro and I must say, I was really surprised how good and accurate the pictures are. At night you can see the software magic and in my opinon my iPhone has a small advantage there, but in daylight the Pixel is absolutely top of the game. There is no doubt.

That's what Samsung keeps telling us for 15 years in a row. And it never moves the needle.

You should definitely try out a new point systen. Like give 3 points to the winner, 2 to 2nd place, and 1 to 3rd. That way it takes into account not just the best at something, but the worst.
I am honestly shocked I've chosen most of them as the pixel 8 pro and I am so happy I now own a pixel 7 Pro and I really look forward to buying the pixel nine Pro when it comes out it's incredible photography only on portrait pictures pixel let me down but hopefully it will be fixed by then and it will be the ultimate photography phone by far
Marques gets all the glory for his blind smartphone test, but they do only three scenes, this is a much better range of scenarios. Would be better to play along if we had a way to view uncompressed versions.
Sometimes people forget that it is not always how good photo is, but also how accurate it is. These guys’ comments are like “it is so blue” or “it is so white”.. I expected someone saying that “this is more like real life” or “in real life the sea was so blue”. Because some people prefer good looks, but some prefer natural photos. Apart from that, you will not regret having any of these phones.
For me: Pixel 8 pro = 13 points S24u = 13 points iPhone 15pm = 11 points In two cases, I was not able to decide which one is best, so I gave points to both.
I don't care who has the best camera or is the fastest phone in benchmarks. Every flagship smartphone takes super pictures and video's and is blazing fast. 97% of all smartphone users don't even see/notice the differences. It's sooooooo irrelevant. I'm a SMARTPHONE user so I want the best screen (dpi/brightness/anti-glare), best battery, best/most usablility and productivity options, best gaming- and multi-media experience, best personalization options and best innovation. I want DEX, KNOX, S-PEN, call recording, multi-tasking, multi-window, fingerprint scanner, best screen, widgets, themes, integration with windows, the biggest eco-system (Samsung SmartThings), fast charging, fast wireless charging and I want AI. On all these aspects the S24 Ultra is destroying the iphone 15 PM big time. So why keep people buying these antiquated, restricted and very very limited iphones?
It's not "pasting", it's AI enhanced because they got better AI Even if you take a moon picture in pro mode, which doesn't use AI at all, it will still look WAY better than the 15 Pro Max's photo AI is just there to get you the most usable image out of your camera
Definitely Samsung should make an update in which run the right colors, in my opinion the pixel has the best camera, second the iPhone and finally the samsung.
9 for pixel, 15 for iphone, 11 for s24. The iphone catch up because of the low light photos make sure to at least watch this video in 4k. everything looks good but 4k reveals all the imperfections when it comes to low light and portrait shots. Conclusion: Samsung is still softening and lightening people's faces while the Pixel and iPhone tries to stick with the natural look. iPhone is still ahead when it comes to low light and low light portraits. Not to mention, the iphone uses faster shutter at night compared to the other phones. Im surprised how the iphone got some points for some of the telephoto shots.
I tried it in Korea, too. It was really hard for me to choose. My choice is Samsung-13 iPhone-12 pixel-10. There wasn't much difference. The blind comparison was so much fun. Thank you for the fun opportunity.
They’ve gotten so good. iPhone still champ for me, which is great because that’s the phone I use as my daily driver, but you really can’t take a bad shot with any of these at this point

Samsung is way ahead of iPhone tbh me coming from IPhone Im in shock with Samsung. Samsung 200mp 8k, iPhone 48mp 4k.... apple really needs to step it up 💯
There's a reason GCam ports are so popular lol. Google knows what they're doing with their camera processing. I use Gcam on my S24 Ultra for 90% of my photos. At the end of the day though, if I'm going out to take photos I'm taking my sony mirrorless.
I lo e these videos but i have one request/suggestion: could you let us know which picture was actually mote color accurate? Regardless of which photo actually wins I think a lot of us would enjoy knowing which camera produce the most realistic colors.
In the beginning these guys doesn't know which is Iphone image, so ended chose Samsung which they were disappointed. Later on, they start to study the image process on the Iphone even though some of images doesn't look good
Guys! Guys! I diggin the trip review! Never seen that before. I also think going in blind with the photo comparisons was beyond genious. I love it. I also love the energy you guys displayed during the three whole video. Keep it up. I subbed.
I like the blind test, these pictures are so close ,it's hard to objectively tell which is best often, it just came down to what shade you prefer , and I'm sure these phones have settings to adjust brightness, and colour contrast
Thanks for taking the time to do this comparison. So many reviews leave out people, but people are often the focal point of photos. Thanks for the variety of shots. I was wondering, was there a particular reason that around half of the shots were at dusk/night time?
my results : Pixel 8 pro: 16, S24u: 11 and Iphone: 8 I am so surprised because when I look at reviews I would not have voted for Google as number 1 on my list
The samsung doesn't copy-paste google photos on it's moonshots. That's so demeaning to the work the team of engineers put into it. The documentation as to how the machine learning algorithm works to enhance the photo has always been on their website. Maybe take a look before you accuse them of copy paste
@robhughes8516 by that logic, none of the 3 phones produce any image that was clicked. They all use artificial intelligence and algorithms to enhance images taken by that small a sensor. I use a samsung flagship. The moon appears detailed in the view finder before capturing. That is definitely the image that was "clicked". Don't say what you don't know
It’s so fun to see Ben on the team. One thing I’ve been wondering if you could tell me, is Angelika planning to come back after her pregnancy to make it a four-person team, or is she going to be taking a break from the videos for the foreseeable future?
After 5 minutes I could guess each phone - pixel have too blurry background and sometimes is too zoomed, Samsung have a warm tint and overall have smoother pictures while iPhone have lighter colors and sharper contours. (Pixel have some lovely portraits while Samsung's zoom is unbeatable for now).
S24U 16, P8P 10, i15PM 9. Just as I tought it will be. I swithed from the 15 PM to the S24U and no regrets. I use it as my main phone, but I have a secondary i13 so the ecosystem remains the main.. :D
Wow great test! I find that the iPhone always wins the blind tests I do on my family, but then again we are all iPhone people who prefer the iPhone style of photos. I’m surprised the Pixel was doing so well, since last blind test the iPhone smoked it but this one was much closer. Maybe just different kinds of photos this time.
You can easily go ahead and reduce the shadow detail on an image, but you can never recover details from crushed shadows and blown out highlights. 13:02, had to pick the objectively worst photo of them all.
Well i guess there is different opinion about what a photo should resemble. For me it should be as close to what reality looked at that time as possible since its memories frozen in a picture. For the guys here it has to look nice :) I have a feeling in many of your videos you often just choose the picture with the most vibrant colours.. while the picture with more true colours and more detail on faces etc gets 2nd or 3rd place
I still think it was pretty biased. I think they probably knew which one the Ultra was and were voting against it a lot of the time. There were at least five times where the Ultra was the clear winner but they chose a different shot that was clearly inferior.
If you want pixel like photos on iphone just use rich contrast photography style. You will be surprised. Apple knew people had preferences with colors. So apple cleverly introduced photography styles with iphone 13. So basically rich contrast is more like pixel look and vibrant is more like samsung look, there is also warm and cool but i would not suggest them. I personally use rich contrast on my 15PM.
Personal preference.. I felt iphone was in the lead followed by the pixel and than lastly, the s24. However, the last shot of the moon was pretty disappointing on all 3 counts especially, on the iphone. ✌️
I recognized most of the Samsung photos. Every time I saw too much yellow or oversaturated, I knew it was a Samsung. I have an S24U and I can confirm that it takes terrible photos. For the first time I admit that the iPhone takes better photos.
"When you explore the settings, the S24 Ultra's camera capabilities transform significantly from the out-of-the-box experience. When utilized properly, its camera prowess is unmatched. However, using it without adjusting settings may yield subpar results. To unlock the full potential of your phone, leverage its capabilities to the fullest extent."
I think the result can be summed up as 'anything can be impressive, nothing can be too impressive'. I completely kept losing guesses all over the place. I was thinking of switching to iphone since pixel isnt available in my country and iphone has a reputation of sticking to original color. But after seeing this...i am not sure anymore. Pixel and S24 were the winner for me.
I'm a 42yr old grown a$$ man and I found this fun and I'm looking to upgrade this month also from the S21 ultra. I love this phone and I had 1 problem and was fix from a update. Thank you
For me it was much more interesting to pick the images I liked the least or was unhappy with the results. That's what bothered me always the most with my phone when the processing or White Balance completely fails. And in this blind test Pixel 8 Pro just missed 3 times for me vs. 11 for the iPhone.
My opinion, you cannot make your exaluation lauder, you will influence the others, in my opinion it should be made as follows: 1- all of you look in silence to all pictures for a while; 2- silent write your choice; 3- wait all others to finish their choice 4- Now you all show what you have chosen and explain the reason of your choice
Would be great to see a comparison of sunset shots on each phone, i feel like its what most people take pictures of and I haven't seen a real comparison of it anywhere
I think they all did very well. Sometines multiple shots of the same subject will produce different results, even using the same high-end professional grade of cameras using auto settings. Thus shoot raw and adjust in post, but for a point and shoot phone camera, they all looked really nice. Great composition, really.
You shouldn't reveal which phone was which until the end; the middle guy tries to pick Apple because he knows from the first 5 photos which one is Apple.😊
There are some weird colours on the IPhone photos, but doesn't want to emphasize it. These guys likes to say bad about Samsung whenever few photos are weird
With all due respect, but when you decide to use the screen of a MacBook, which is far from being one of the best in the world and has deficiencies in color reproduction, it doesn't seem like the most faithful way to give credibility to your results.
What is missing in the comparison is how sharp photo looks on a large screen. Many smartphone photos looks Ok in small resolution, but looks like garbage when opened up. Maybe show how they look if zoomed?
I like blind comparisons because all of these phones are so good it is hard to tell which one is which. But when they show the phone people start acting like the phone professionals and start talking about saturations, vivid sharpness and what not.
Really great format like this! I wasn't keeping tracking since I'm watching this super late but it was pretty interesting how some shots you just *knew* were say, Samsung, would be iPhone or Pixel or vice versa. Except the moon shot haha, S21U owner here and yeah it can do stupid close moon photos. Great banter as well as photo characteristics and observation on quality.
We've tested many phones that come out, and the iPhone is no exception. When new phones come out they're usually optimized when shipped. Sure, software will improve things and we will do more comparisons. There's more to come stay tuned!

You should definitely try out a new point systen. Like give 3 points to the winner, 2 to 2nd place, and 1 to 3rd. That way it takes into account not just the best at something, but the worst.
17 for s24 on my end.. its a beast.. an it hasn't even got its software yodate yet
Same
Upload these photos to gdrive & provide link so we can have a better look over them to compare ourselves.
good point, cannot fully trust these online youtube images with its image compression algorithm
Would be better to play along if we had a way to view uncompressed versions.
bcos he includes lot of phones both blind tests are in their own ways
Sometimes people forget that it is not always how good photo is, but also how accurate it is. These guys’ comments are like “it is so blue” or “it is so white”.. I expected someone saying that “this is more like real life” or “in real life the sea was so blue”. Because some people prefer good looks, but some prefer natural photos. Apart from that, you will not regret having any of these phones.
For me:
Pixel 8 pro = 13 points
S24u = 13 points
iPhone 15pm = 11 points
In two cases, I was not able to decide which one is best, so I gave points to both.
Are Samsung still detecting when the moon is the target and pasting a databased picture on top of it?
yeap
It's not "pasting", it's AI enhanced because they got better AI
Even if you take a moon picture in pro mode, which doesn't use AI at all, it will still look WAY better than the 15 Pro Max's photo
AI is just there to get you the most usable image out of your camera
Definitely Samsung should make an update in which run the right colors, in my opinion the pixel has the best camera, second the iPhone and finally the samsung.
I got 16 for the Pixel 8 Pro, 13 for the S24 Ultra and only 6 for the iPhone.
Guessing you own a pixel😂
Nope, I have an s23 Ultra@@Randomdude21-e
i love u maxtech for doing these videos. This is by far the best way to compare phone camera these days.
9 for pixel, 15 for iphone, 11 for s24. The iphone catch up because of the low light photos
make sure to at least watch this video in 4k. everything looks good but 4k reveals all the imperfections when it comes to low light and portrait shots.
Thank you for the fun opportunity.
bloody hell.. so close... can't even choose which one
They’ve gotten so good. iPhone still champ for me, which is great because that’s the phone I use as my daily driver, but you really can’t take a bad shot with any of these at this point
@@Epicgamer_Mac I have 14 Pro before migrating to S24 Ultra.. The only downside with S24 Ultra is video consistency.. But otherwise, it was close enough. Worth my money haha
@@syedjaffar310
I can't say for sure about S24U because I have a Fold 4, but I turned off HDR10+ and the video improved MASSIVELY at night and turning off scene optimizer removed a lot of strange artifacts from photos
Absolutely love those videos, always play along with you guys. My results were 12 for iPhone, 11 for Galaxy and 12 for Pixel. Keep up the good mood, you're doing great! Cheers from Brazil
Later on, they start to study the image process on the Iphone even though some of images doesn't look good
For me :
S24: 18
IPhone: 15
Pixel: 12
Guys!
Watching on phone is a different experience 😂. No idea what has more detail
Me too; the 15 Pro Max and S24 Ultra photos were precisely the same for me in some images.
Finally, this time they are not trying to pick the iPhone but really examining the photos. My list is Pixel, iPhone, and Galaxy last.
Well I already have the 15 Pro and the S24 Ultra, guess I need to get the new Pixel to have the holy trinity 😂
Thanks for taking the time to do this comparison. So many reviews leave out people, but people are often the focal point of photos. Thanks for the variety of shots.
I was wondering, was there a particular reason that around half of the shots were at dusk/night time?
I would say most phones are fine in good light, high contrast and low light, will distinguish which device has the best sauce.
because night photography is more challenging therefore better filters the best performers
my results : Pixel 8 pro: 16, S24u: 11 and Iphone: 8 I am so surprised because when I look at reviews I would not have voted for Google as number 1 on my list
Are cameras on phones getting worse or are you guys better at taking shots in tricky lighting?
Exactly my feeling for this video , i think its because its winter and nit enough light throught the day
@@amgil475True, but flagship mobile cameras should be able to cope well with any lighting conditions.
@@neilmcguinness4422 we are talking about the progress compared to previous comparsion , the previous one was probably in the summer
@@neilmcguinness4422a 15000$ dslr is unable to do that.. what makes u think that phone will do it?
I think they're just really bad at taking photos.
these guys are cksking apple so hard
Iphone: 12
Pixel : 10
Samsung: 13
The samsung doesn't copy-paste google photos on it's moonshots. That's so demeaning to the work the team of engineers put into it. The documentation as to how the machine learning algorithm works to enhance the photo has always been on their website.
Maybe take a look before you accuse them of copy paste
It’s still not the actual image that was clicked, no matter what you think…. maybe stop fanboying and try looking through less unbiased eyes.
@@robhughes8516 By that logic, none of the phones do that. All 3 of them have some sort of post processing that alters the image after the fact.
Mrwhoostheboss tested it, and the phone made a round light into a moon😂
@@Randomdude21-e Update your phone bro, you're a year behind.
Don't say what you don't know
Iphone 15 Pro Max - 12
Pixel 8 Pro - 11
Galaxy S24 Ultra - 8
Why 8 the s24 did better than iphone in most photos same with pixel and also both the s24u and pixel did better in clode range
Pixel 8 - 15
S24 - 10
iPhone - 10
It’s so fun to see Ben on the team. One thing I’ve been wondering if you could tell me, is Angelika planning to come back after her pregnancy to make it a four-person team, or is she going to be taking a break from the videos for the foreseeable future?
After 5 minutes I could guess each phone - pixel have too blurry background and sometimes is too zoomed, Samsung have a warm tint and overall have smoother pictures while iPhone have lighter colors and sharper contours. (Pixel have some lovely portraits while Samsung's zoom is unbeatable for now).
I like the way you guys review those camera, let people choose not only a single reviewer
Nice to see they all can make good photos. Go with what you like.
I wonder if the results would have been different if they viewed them on a good screen. 😂
Great job, guys. This felt much less biased this time. Thanks!
I still think it was pretty biased. I think they probably knew which one the Ultra was and were voting against it a lot of the time. There were at least five times where the Ultra was the clear winner but they chose a different shot that was clearly inferior.
@@Lefty7788tinkatolli You're probably right.
Great job guys. The best way to decide which one is better.
Loving my S24 Ultra! Great job guys.
S24 ultra score = 17
iPhone 15 pro max = 10
Google Pixel 8 pro = 08
Pixel all the way. 💪🔥 Beats all of them definitely.
I want googles entire camera software properly optimized for the s24 ultra hardware 😂
Thank you
If I would not dropped my s21 I would stay with that till it retired. Now I got s 23 u and I am willing till at least s25
I personally preferred most of the photos on the iPhone so to me, it still remains king 👑
For others its the pixel and maybe the vivo x100 pro would crush them all exept selfies.
At the end of the day it comes down to your preference, i like Pixel most of the shots... But all of them are great phone
Wow S24 ULTRA 😮
For me it was much more interesting to pick the images I liked the least or was unhappy with the results. That's what bothered me always the most with my phone when the processing or White Balance completely fails. And in this blind test Pixel 8 Pro just missed 3 times for me vs. 11 for the iPhone.
Clearly 24 ultra is over hyped then. allways said Samsung is rubbish apart from the odd zoom shot. Pixel is underrated tbh fair play
Iphone is alis very overated the guy in the center is picking every excuse to say that iphone us better but in reality it's google pixel and s24u
Didn't expect anything less from iPhone biased people😊
My opinion, you cannot make your exaluation lauder, you will influence the others, in my opinion it should be made as follows:
1- all of you look in silence to all pictures for a while;
2- silent write your choice;
3- wait all others to finish their choice
4- Now you all show what you have chosen and explain the reason of your choice
Best comparison yet! Kudos!
The most subjective grading I’ve ever seen, zero objective analysis.
You shouldn't reveal which phone was which until the end; the middle guy tries to pick Apple because he knows from the first 5 photos which one is Apple.😊
It was so obvious right
Pixel for photo iphone for video and sosial media Camera quality. All got great cameras, choose your phone and cameras will be great.
There are some weird colours on the IPhone photos, but doesn't want to emphasize it. These guys likes to say bad about Samsung whenever few photos are weird
The way one of the guys pointed at the screen with his ballpoint gave me an unsettling feeling.
Video is in 4k.
they are disappointed everytime they get samsung one
No matter what you cant go wrong with the iPhone pictures and videos. Top notch performance by the American Giant.
Great banter as well as photo characteristics and observation on quality.
they become so happy when it's an iphone xD

We've tested many phones that come out, and the iPhone is no exception. When new phones come out they're usually optimized when shipped. Sure, software will improve things and we will do more comparisons. There's more to come stay tuned!
Was waiting for these kinds of comments😂😂😂
