I started a new water series that features my favorite color…. PINK and is inspired by Barbie and colorful sparkly bath bombs!!!
Pulling from both reference photos and my creativity I share my process of editing my reference photos to create a vibrant and sparkly final painting.

I now paint on mini canvas boards and i love them. I make them myself cause they are super expensive in art stores. I love you,re paintings 😁😄🎨☁️👋🏾

I am painting smaller now too on cardboard that I got free from my work. I glue mixed media paper on the cardboard cause that i find better to draw and paint on. I havent tryed to paint whit gouache on cardboard 😅 So i don,t know if it holds as good like acrylic paints do. I love to paint and draw small. Its so asome to paint and draw small. Its not eazier but its allot more fun to paint and i save allot of money by painting smaller😊 i love you,re paintings Emily Mackey Art. You inspired me too paint smaller than i did. Thank you for sharing everything you paint and do😊✌🏾👍🏾👋🏾🎨

This pink series looks amazing! I love how they're not very pastel, but have these deep, intense pinks and reds! Also... true when it comes to filming, especially at the start! Filming the final touches is so much easier, the beginning parts take way too much brainpower. 😅

I get intimidated from large paintings too I think I’m just going to have to force myself into them because I have so many small pieces that I can’t sell! Love the pink sparkly paintings would you ever do a large one after the series? 💕

Helllo Emily Mackey Art. I wanted to ask you someting. Are wooden panels also suitable for himi miya gouache ? I only now paint whit gouache i now buy cheap canvas boards from my local hardware store hornbach in the netherlands but its getting expensive for me😊 i love you,re paintings
