  • I am challenging myself on this one! I typically paint on smaller canvas sizes and I wanted to challenge myself with a large canvas! Painting water with oils is my favorite and I show you my oil painting process for the largest painting I’ve done this year. I hope you enjoy this relaxing art vlog!

Love the art vlogs, Emily. The behind the scenes thought process behind running an art business and creating a painting are really insightful.

Beautiful painting ❤ Timing is amazing! I started recently oil painting thanks to your videos, I'm quite into it at the moment. How do you handle thickness of the paint? do you add some water?

I use linseed oil to thin my paints as its what is in the oil paint

you use solvent to make it more lean, and oil to make it more fat. The “fat over lean” rule

I really enjoy the Liquin by winsor and newton for helping the fluidity of my paints!

such a clever idea to push yourself but also paint what you're comfortable with. Well done on completing this gorgeous, HUGE painting in just 2 days!!! that's amazing, you should be proud of yourself, hope you had a fun chill day ☺

Fantastic video. So helpful to hear you talk through both process and struggles. Makes me feel less alone in some of my artist struggles.

I'm so happy to hear that this video was helpful! Being a self taught artist can definitely get lonely so It always feels good to know we've made little connections through youtube. Sending lots of good painting vibes your way!

    Hiii my frnd 👋🩷
first I really .. really love your videos,
they give me energy to get up and draw after a long time, they give me a new spirit, I was thinking how good it would be if we could see drawing zero to one hundred and color combination step by step and draw together, although I know the video will be very long, but there is a good idea for simpler drawings that I wanted to sayd to you
    good luck
I am waiting for the rest of your videos🌱

Hey wanna ask if we get more detailed painting tutorials on patreon ?? (I am quite a slow learner😅)I really wish to start painting after my exams are over , these realistic paintings do look a bit intimidating , but painting with someone with great skills and step by step instructions might make it a bit easier .I want to be able to make paintings to hang in my room 😊.
