OMG WE DID IT!!!!! 🎉🎉🎉 Thanks Mr jazza for bringing my idea to life and for everyone upvoting and liking the idea 😭😭😭❤ also if you ever wanna get rid of the painting, I'd politely call dibs on it 🥺👉👈🤣🙌
I'm probably biased because I'm a sucker for underwater scenes, but that Atlantis painting looks so awesome! It's really impressive that you managed to completely change the piece, while keeping the essence of the original painting. 👏
I find it funny how the fisherman and the dog don't seem phased at all by what's going on. Reminds me of the "This is fine" meme. 😆 While the transformation of the larger painting is very impressive and beautiful, I think I would have preferred if the beautiful green landscaped were turned into Narnia instead.
i feel like this is the best transformation he's done. The fact that it was the most transformative and challenging really showed his capabilities as an artist.
Watching Jazza is sometimes like watching Bob Ross - he makes a decision and you’re like “NO WAIT YOU’RE GOING TO RUIN IT” but then it actually makes it so much better. 😂
Except for the highlights at the end. They've completely destroyed the mystery of the piece. I loved how you had to figure out what each building was and them merging with the background instead of it being made blatantly obvious.
I wonder what jazza is able to do if he has as much time for a painting as he needs, not as his schedule has planned for him. I would absolutely look forward to a special videos where he stops the upload schedule for a week or two and takes his time for a true masterpiece, with concept, color and composition theory think-through, and all the finishing a painting needs like varnish, foundation, sketch and so on. Tbh i think it would be great if the folks over on insert art had such spotlight-videos too, where they can take all the time they need. I hope it is worth the time someday! If it is for the money loss when temporarily stopping the schedule, i think many viewers (including myself lol) would love to buy (signed?) prints of the so-created masterpieces by the team, or merch in general like phone cases, sketchbooks, spiral bound books for school or university with gritted or lined paper, drinking bottles, maybe shirts... you get the idea.
The underwater city painting absolutely spoke to my soul. The way he transformed landscape into a seascape is obsurd! Such an inspiration! Thanks Jazza! 🙏😌
Now there are all these artists out there, sitting in their home studios and wondering what you would do to their paintings. It would actually be kind of fun to have a select group of viewers send you paintings and for you to have your way with. Atlantis painting is so freaking cool :)
How cool is it that you go thrift store shopping and buy not only one but two artworks made by Amy‘s relatives! You should give her the Witcher butt painting too! And the fisherman and his dog are still sitting by the lake like they’re watching over to naked Jazza thinking „oh boy, it’s that lunatic again!“ And love how Atlantis turned out!
Hope we figure out a way to paint over his creations as well. Then he will know the feeling. Someone put his heart and soul into creating that landscape painting. Undoing other peoples art is not being a cool artist. Not at all. It is being a jerk.
@@seanorth If the paintings were loved and appreciated, they wouldn’t be in the thrift store to start with. And there are plenty of Bob Ross style landscapes that were mass-produced in China with fake Western names, and sold in furniture stores and such. Those never did mean anything to anyone, except a paycheck. And as we see in this very video, even loved ones of the artist may be delighted to see new art on top of old art.
I’m SO GLAD you did Atlantis themed! Don’t get me wrong, but more often than not you do post apocalyptic themed works and it was very refreshing seeing something different! It did end up with old abandoned buildings anyway, but at least it was underwater 😂❤❤
Love, love, LOVE seeing you recreate the thrift store artwork!! We REALLY hope a future find will open itself up to the Narnia idea! Looking forward to seeing that idea come to life someday soon! 🥰
I like what Jazza did with the atlantis one although it definitely wasn't my favourite idea since it pretty much necessitated covering up the entirety of the original piece.
Were there many who painted copies (not prints) of that painting you used with the river and the mountains in the background? My dad used to have that painting on a wall in his living room when I was a kid. I'm going back about 30 years ago.
It's a typical Bob Ross style painting. His tutorial tv shows were broadcasted worldwide, as you probably know, and it translatd into so many households having a painting with these 'happy' trees, a mountainous background and a calm river or two. Bob Ross' original paintings were never sold. His collection is still intact and archived, owned by his relatives. I've seen his granddaughter, a middle aged woman now, explaining this on a documentairy about him. She said many people wanted to buy an original, but the family rather keep them.
@@capedkat wow, thanks for the reply. That's very interesting. Amazing that the one I remember from so many years ago looked exactly like that. We had two of them. One was a winter scene, with a similar theme: river with a mountain in the background, but converted in snow. I've still got that one.
What I love about these videos and Jazzas channel in general is, not only is it really entertaining but also very inspiring to go out and make my own thrift shop atrocities.
Once again wow , I couldn’t believe it when you burnt the frame but how fab it turned out , love how the Atlantis one turned out as well, looking forward to seeing more of your re creations on paintings , glad I stumbled on your video great to watch X

I thought he'd do the most complicated, craziest, hard choice for the big piece: a sunken, apocalyptic fairytale city. What came out at the end is really gorgeous, I'm always amazed at how creative, talented people are able to seemingly just whip out something so beautiful like it's nothing.
I agree with your initial assessment of the Atlantis piece: it was too much. It's great, and if it was on its own fresh canvas, I'd love it. But if the mission was to rejuvenate an old painting, I don't see any of the old painting there.
i'm so happy the atlantis idea won, it's such a unique and creative idea! and it turned out amazing, the perfect balance between new and keeping some of the original💙
Hullo Jazza! Such fun conversions! I was voting for Narnia! You did the underwater conversion in spectacular manner! I will say I do not like the fact that you do not remove the pictures from the frames! This is the first step in working on an older canvas, cleaning the surface before doing anything! I am glad the young lady got her Nan's painting back with your addition and seeing her reaction was simply priceless! You did good Young man, very well done!
The Atlantis piece really was the definition of “trust the process” holy crap the moment it started to come together blew my mind.. Fantastic job, I’m kinda obsessed with this piece haha 💖😭
This is one of the most talented people I've seen in my entire life. Can't stop watching his videos, he seems like a magician to me. So, so, so underrated...
If you're interested, Mr. Jazza, I have an idea for a video. It involves someone selecting a picture, art piece, or other visual piece and describing it to you, after which you will attempt to draw it without referencing the original.
I'm so glad you got closure as to who Valma was and that she was related to someone who works with you! It's sad she passed away but I'mma assume she'd be happy to see her art appreciated with your collab... especially Henry Calvery's butt
I definitely prefer the more subtle additions and transformations. In my opinion the Atlantis one, as beautiful as it turned out, could've been done on a blank canvas to the same effect just as easily. Felt like a bit of a waste to me. Lovely pieces regardless!
Atlantis definitely seems the hardest of the ideas 😮 you did a great job visualising how to create it, I was staring for ages and couldn't think up any way to do it hahah 😂
The big painting turned out AMAZING! The end result was pretty much what I had envisioned when I suggested the post apocalyptic theme JUST UNDERWATER which makes it 9999 times cooler!!! I'm so impressed! I think that might be in my top 3 favorite paintings Jazza has ever made 👏😊
the story of Jazza trying to paint with gasoline, a fire starting, and him removing the clothes he spilt gas on, then trying to run away with the can in a frantic lapse of judgement. leaves me with only one question.....can he make art with gasoline?
I liked it best around 8:20......it looked amazing. A unique collaboration. Two styles put into one from the perspective in the know. It was gorgeous and odd. Everything after that was just painting over a painting.
While in grad school in the 80s , A number of students and myself were encouraged by a professor to "re-do" thrift store paintings. I would usually opt for nonrepresentational directions. Many were satisfying. Some were collected by the professor in which we would trade artworks. After graduating I would accompany the department professors as they cut locks from unvacated lockers and I'd grab large prints and "fix" them. Needless to say, the professor loved them and kept many of them, and I added more of his work to my collection. 😊
Wasn’t a huge fan of that last one. I mean you did Great with the prompt but I feel like it changed it too much. Amy’s Nan’s painting though 😂😂😂 What a great job
Clap, cheer, fannntastic ! It was a dispointed groan when you went with underwater and when you put solid blue, but the idea and vision fit when you finished. Watching this style of painting inspires me and when i grow up i want to paint like that. I think anyone with humor wants to see the image live on as you did with the grans picture the other option was waste/landfill and that would have a true loss. Keep it up i watch with laughter.
I've been adding my own touches to paintings I've found at thrift stores for several years nothing as creative ideas as these 🙂 but just more flowers, trees, birds, vines or more color...it's fun! 👍
While the art piece turned out good and transforming an outdoor nature scene into an underwater one is a fun and interesting challenge, I find it really sad that so much of the original piece is lost. The only thing that remained was maybe the composition of the plants, but they were painted by Jazza so really nothing of the original artists piece is shining through the thick blue layer. This challenge should be about enhancing existing art, not completely overpainting and changing it. And it was such a beautiful piece too, just adding slight changes to it would have been so much better and more respectful to the original arrist. That being said, the other painting with the fire and paint splatters added to it turned out so so good and the burned edge looks amazing! Good job on that one :)
Love your painting - AS USUAL 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Love even more that you thoughtfully gifted it to Amy ❤️Her Nan sounds like cool lady and you definitely made her proud ☺️😂😇 That piece is now even more of a priceless family heirloom ❤
I can’t lie, I’m a little disappointed he didn’t do the Narnia theme, I would’ve loved to see what he came up with! Especially because the original painting was absolutely stunning on its own
I sometime think that "I don't feel like Jazza is the best artist I've seen, or at least not my favorite style. But it's always so creative". But now I know, Jazza's landscapes are amazing. Truly, impressive.
i love this video jazza, it makes all the paintings that in the original looked cool but now hilarious love the vids keep it up and the nude wuz a good troll 💀

Really liked adding yourself running through the first one setting things on fire. Not sure about the second one. I really like it but it is such a dramatic change that I’m not sure what the point of starting with a thrift store painting instead of a blank canvas was
Feel like the original painting was completely lost. Could have just done this idea from scratch. Original painting was lovely. What a shame someones work is lost forever. Could have added to it rather than erase it 😢
YES!!!! PLEASE do more of these redo paintings! I've just discovered your channel recently from the other one you did and they are justvso much fun to watch! And also, you're super talented!
While that firestarter was a fun reworking, the last one is a failure, the original thrift shop painting was painted much better then your Atlantis scene.
can we just talk ab what a great spirit Amy is😊❤ what an absolute keeper lmao Jazza, with much love-this is your sign to TAKE A VACATION! I love your work but can tell you need the break so allow yourself the time already!
Can't help but dislike the outcome. Obviously the giant painting Jazza did is aesthetically pleasing to look at, but it ruins the old art completely. The other options sounded more like they'd enhance the piece, not hide it under a layer of a whole other thing.
The new painting is really beautiful, but it is also a waste of a really pretty thriftshop painting, because the original painting is basically gone. The Atlantis painting should have been done on a white canvas
I just think it’s amazing how you can take an amazing painting and make it even better but still keeping bits and pieces of the original in the new painting
Honestly love your work, but something about all of this endeavour just doesn't sit with me. Painting over other people works... I don't know, I couldn't do that.
I understand but he's also giving them new life. This were just sitting in a thrift store and probably stay there, this way they are being used and appreciated. With saying all of this I couldn't do it either 😅
Why on earth would she want someone to paint over her dead relatives’ paintings? Do you know how mad I’d be if my sibling did that with my late grandmother’s paintings?! Like yeah it is her grandmother but I really hope she asked her family if they’d be ok with that.
Such disrespect, I personally do not like these painting over old paintings. Even if they do not look good, even if someone produced many of those which are almost same, it still feels extremely disrespectful
bro, your artistic capabilties are Alpha........... i wish i could have that atlantis painting of yours, 😔 it's rich, truly amazing. I love thriftart series
I would love it if you did actually end up doing a Narnia makeover for a thrift shop painting! I think there's plenty of landscapes that could do with a fantasy makeover! The fairest thing to do would be to make one for each of those 3 top comments you showed :)
From the fishing gentleman’s (lack of) reaction, I feel that Jazza gleefully streaking about the landscape, flinging fire and paint and general chaos in all directions willy-nilly, is a common occurrence in this little painted universe.
As someone more in the digital design space, this reminded me a lot of creators doing collaborative photo manipulation (more popularly known as photo bashing) where they pass it on to the next artist who has to interpret the previous artists intention OR change it almost completely using the previous artists work as a base

You did an awsome job! I think this piece is a nice change of pace from all of the warm tones, and it’s super easy to look at.
I am so glad, that you did not hold back with the first painting...amazed with crazinest😂😂😂👍
But it's not about how you feel. It's about how they're Nan would feel. And I think Amy knows her Nan better than some random dude on the internet.
bro, your artistic capabilties are Alpha........... i wish i could have that atlantis painting of yours, 😔 it's rich, truly amazing. I love thriftart series
It is one thing to paint over some store bought painting but to paint over and ruin the art of someone who is dead seems very disrespectful.
I'm blown away! A reminder that, aside from all the fun shenanigans you get up to, you are an amazing artist.
Theyre nice, but i think ur a little bit disrespectful to the original artists of the paintings.
YES, MORE OF THIS!!! These are so fun to watch and would be fun to see if you could find the original painter and see what they think of it.
You ruined something that someone worked hard on, unbelievable
They're dead, and the paintings are a dime a dozen types of paintings. At least he is doing creative stuff.
I love watching you create!!!
It always blows my mind how truly talented you are. I’m inspired to pick up my paint brushes again after this one.
Only a creative genus would be able to think up the masterpiece, that is, "Jazza's Creative Chaos!"🤣❤️😋
Also, the Atlantis piece is stunning❤❤❤
So cool seeing the styles of Jazza and the other artists mixing together
I would love it if you did actually end up doing a Narnia makeover for a thrift shop painting! I think there's plenty of landscapes that could do with a fantasy makeover! The fairest thing to do would be to make one for each of those 3 top comments you showed :)
From the fishing gentleman’s (lack of) reaction, I feel that Jazza gleefully streaking about the landscape, flinging fire and paint and general chaos in all directions willy-nilly, is a common occurrence in this little painted universe.
By the end of the vid I couldn't remember what the original looked like. But damn, have the water levels risen in under 10 minutes.
Honestly big bias here since love City of Atlantis and underwater art over all. It's done really well and I love feel of it. Great work!
I really love that dark and abandoned city underwater! Thank you, Jazza❤
As someone more in the digital design space, this reminded me a lot of creators doing collaborative photo manipulation (more popularly known as photo bashing) where they pass it on to the next artist who has to interpret the previous artists intention OR change it almost completely using the previous artists work as a base
