This video has just TOTALLY EMPOWERED me. My cakes are about to go to the next level. I'm a beginning baker and this is the EXACT knowlegde I needed to give my cakes that PROFESSIONAL look I want them to have. I'm the designated baker in my family and eveyone loves my cakes. The only thing missing is that professional, clean, sharp look. I can't wait for the holidays to surprise everybody with my newly acquired decorating skills. Thanx SOOOO MUCH for this demo. It has really removed all the mystery and complications from the decorating process. This is my GO TO video if ever I need a refresher. MAN....I'm so excited !!! :-)
Omg I’m trying to make a layered cake for my sons 3rd birthday I’m freaking out, this video calmed me a little butttt I’m still a bit scared. I want it to be perfect!

She deserves some kind of prize. I've fixed delicious cakes but I just couldn't ice them properly. When I watched the video and learned her tips, I finally iced my first perfect cake.
I definitely need a bench scraper!!! These types of videos are so satisfying and remind me of why I love what I do!! You’re one of my favorite people that I follow that enjoys and has a passion for the same thing!! I wish you much more success than what you already have you’re truly amazing at what you do!! ♥️
This is helpful, thanks. I recently got my first cake order, (normally I stick to things like soft pretzels and cookies), and when I made it it didn't look the best. Thankfully the person who had ordered was someone I know and understood why it didn't look the best and was fine with it as it wasn't for a huge party or anything (like 4 people), but I still need to get my cakes looking better. The crumb coat was something I didn't know to do. I'm probably going to experiment with some cakes soon to get them looking better, but this is really helpful!
So like I'm 16 trying to learn to perfectly frost a cake to make for my mom to add decorations afterwards and this video was really really helpful to me. Thank you🙃💯

made your chocolate cake with cream cheese frosting today- it's delicious. I had so much fun baking it! First time I used a scale instead of measuring cups and spoons, I loved it. I did pretty well with frosting the cake; just watched your frost a cake tutorial; my next attempt at frosting will be much better :)
I am hopefully starting a cake/cupcake decorating position in a few days and I have been watching all these piping techniques but not how to get a smooth overall frosting. I had been watching decorating videos for years and all tips are appreciated as most people, especially when doing a super fancy cake skip this or just do it quickly. I cannot wait to try out all the tools, piping tips, using colors etc.
Thanks so much ma darling. This is what i have been looking for. Just put my cakes in the freezer so i start frosting it as my second child will be turning a year old on the 18th of April.

I love your videos! When do you recommend frosting the cake? For example, if the cake is going to be taken to be eaten somewhere at 2pm when should you frost it and decorate it? After the cake has been decorated should I just put it in the fridge if its not going to be eaten within the next couple of hours or keep it out? Thanks!!

Hey!!!! Thank you for your tips!!!! But how do you prevent condensation from taking place during the times we place the cake in the freezer? Also will my drip melt off it I take it from the fridge n keep it in room temp for too long?
How do you know how many batches of frosting to make per cake size? Hi Chels I love all your tutorials and also your blog is my go to page when ever i want a new cake recipe. So, thank you so much for sharing. I have trouble baking my cakes in deep inch cake pans. They come out hard around the edge and top and uncooked on the inside. Any tips on how I can salvage this little problem?
how deep of pans are you using?! I usually bake my layers individually, in 2 inch pans! My recipe definitely caramelized on the sides, so it's not the best for super deep pans! Thank begin said, you can minimize the caramelization with baking strips (like these: amzn.to/2XAZmvK) or you can use a flower nail or heating core to help your layers bake more evenly! Hope that helps
