Zach Johnson, the “Millennial Farmer” is a 5th-generation farmer who’s spent his life growing, working, and learning on his family’s farm. His wit and dry sense of humor appeal to children and adults alike. A product of the millennial generation, his appreciation of new technology blends with his old-fashioned work ethic, and he offers a unique ability to deliver his message in a way that resonates with lifelong farmers as well as those with no knowledge of agriculture.
With growing consumer awareness about where their food comes from, Zach has identified the need for an independent voice from the front lines of agriculture. Zach actively promotes agriculture by sharing his day-to-day experiences in the agriculture world while providing farmer-to-farmer education to help facilitate a collaborative conversation between farmers and the public.

" Yes, I had to do just that several times. The boss always thanked me for calling him. Once I helped dig a tractor out for 4 hours. You ain't kidding. I live down here in northeastern Indiana, and once again it's raining. Most of the other farmers in my area are struggling to get their corn and soybeans planted. Luckily we had a week of good dry weather, so they were all out in force. Which incidentally allowed my dad to get about ten acres of hay baled, still have about fifteen left, and that's just first cutting. This year is gonna suck for everyone, hay prices are gonna go through the roof and food prices in the store will too.

Amazing video. Everyone has an equipment extraction story if they have farmed. I moved sprinkler hand lines when I was a kid. The set ran all weekend and the farmer’s son got a pickup stuck up to the axles just as we were finishing moving the lines for the day. We walked and retrieved a farm truck to pull it. Also stuck to the axles. Got an old Farmall tractor. Stuck to the axles. Last chance was an old Caterpillar. We walked that from a mile away. It got them all out. That all took a couple of hours... We earned our gas station Coca Colas that afternoon! Great memories growing up in Idaho.

I'm a city boy who lives in the country. I have 27 acres that I rent to my neighbor, a dairy farmer. One summer, I was unemployed and my neighbor was kind enough to hire me as a farm hand. I had never worked on a farm before. My first job was to spread manure. My friend and neighbor filled me in on the basics, told me what field to go to, and to be careful and not get suck because it's soft at the field entrance. Ten minutes later, I walked back to the barn and sheepishly told him that I was stuck. I learned a lot that summer - farming is hard!!

Got a 2050 Oliver stuck @ 2am one Saturday night so bad, I stepped UP off the deck to walk away. Called the local highway truck wrecking service to try to get it out on Sunday morning after trying to extract it with another tractor. After trying unsuccessfully with the first wrecker, the tow guy went back to the shop and got the BIG TRUCK: a wrecker made out of an old Oshkosh five axle truck. After a bit of tugging and cursing, my 2050 came popping out of that mess. Well, my bank account only had about $400 left in it, so I wasn't really looking forward to what this bill would be. Finally, the tow driver looked around, toed the dirt a bit, looks at me and says "this has been a whole lot of fun for a Sunday mornin". How about we call it $60 and say we're even?" I damn near kissed the guy on the lips.

Got stuck with our 9630t and Seedhawk at 3 a.m. this spring. Everybody sleeping. Hardly any phone service. Half mile walk across the field to get to a truck. So I kept fighting for 30 minutes....and she finally came out of the mud....😃

You're service truck is a TBI (throttle body injection) which means it's a EFI (electronic fuel injection) They're nothing like carburetors where you got to choke it and pump the throttle! Turn the key and it delivers fuel into the throttle body by it self... hopes this helps lol
