“I hope you enjoyed this episodes of Megami Tensei, because I certainly didn’t” LOL I’m very interested now, this looks like a great piece of history no one talks about
StaySkeptic lol yeah I saw the fan translation and was like I do not want to read this on a blog format website lol...I’d much rather enjoy it in a book form. I feel like immersion is lost on a blog website. I thought about printing it out but that’d be kinda weird lol
Never really knew how this game played since many in the community seemed to not want to give it a shot so hats off to you sir. Glad to see one of the biggest influences when I was first getting into Megami Tensei make another Megami Tensei related video after so long. Think I might give this one a shot for the heck of it.
Anyone that does play the original megaten have to be really aware of it’s unforgiving nature and hard grinding. If you can’t fathom it, you will most likely quit after a couple trys
"Get in the conveyor belt, that's what I like to see" - I died from laughter at that moment. x) By the way, can you guys imagine a time line, where Atlus didn't succeed and it's actually THIS game that spawned the whole series... Yeah, I'm glad this wasn't the case.
Part of me is really curious what this would look like through a composite feed instead of direct emulation. I know that early computer games utilized composite to create colors that weren't normally available
What're you on about? It's a masterpiece. Literally the best thing ever created by humans. That's why it never will be remade or ported. It simply cannot be improved. Not even the ps5 will be able to handle the pure power of Jack Bros.
I thought the MSX version came first. There's no corner cheesing in it and it has death traps. The music is pretty good and the graphics are ..... fine lol. Check it out when you get the chance: ruclips.net/video/RK5g7769noM/видео.html
That little turquoise icon was supposed to be a (car) battery for the protagonist's PC?? Odd. Could've sworn it was supposed to be a tiny mockup of the classic NES controller but seeing how Famicom didn't get this version, that would make absolutely zero sense. :/

Do you have any idea how long I waited for this
I wander what other hidden SMT games there are out there that's been forgotten in the diamond realm
@@stayskeptic3923: Fan translations of at least the first two books have been floating around the net for a while. No idea how good they are tho.
@@Painocus It's as weird as you'd expect. They were never particularly well-written, but that's pretty well-known in the community anyway.
The 2000's mobile phone games.

Maybe the real first Tensei game is the friends we made along the way.
"kept ya waiting huh?"
thank you for covering this game. It always seemed like one of the most obscure ones along with all the old phone games.

I bet Jack Bros on Virtual Boy, in comparison; looks like a masterpiece
Yeah, imo it is the best game released for the virtual boy (Wario Land comes to a close second)

Is he the same guy from the podcast Megaten Marathon?
Oh god, why does that emulator emulate the screen tearing?
Why would you do this to yourself?
