B-B-Q grill cover from WalMart works well as a cart cover. Available in various sizes, inexpensive.

That's a great idea. I usually just throw my welding jacket over top

Yeah man they are a good little cart. Definitely worth the money

That's really smart. I have that cart and I've been trying to figure out how to mount Hobart 210 MVP and my Hobart Plasma Cutter. I too was very suprised regarding the quality of that HF welding cart. It's solid as hell.

My plasma cutter had 4 rubber feet on the bottom of it which I removed. Then, I took the cover off of my welder, removed the top handle and drilled holes in in the top of the welder cover to match the location of the rubber feet holes that are on the bottom of the plasma cutter. I then screwed the plasma cutter to the top of the cover of the welder and re-installed the cover on the welder. It worked out great. No bracket or bungee cords and a nice looking setup. I use the cable hooks on one side for the welder cables and the cable hooks on the other side of the cart for the plasma cutter cables.
While trying to figure out how to mount the plasma cutter I came to find out that the sides of the Harbor Freight cart are double walled. No wonder the cart is so sturdy. It's built like a tank. My next project for the cart is to modify the back of the cart so that it will hold 2 tanks instead of just1 tank. (1 25-75 and 1 argon).
Thanks for the video. It inspired me to mount the plasma cutter on top of the welder.

Nice! I’ve been considering a mutimatic 220 and that cart, but wasn’t sure if 2 bottles could be made to fit.

I bought the Harbor Freight cart about a year ago and really like it. I am amazed at how well built and sturdy it is. Great bang for the buck IMO.
About a month ago I bought a cheap EBay (Chinese) plasma cutter, which I am very pleased with. As of now I have it sitting on top of my table saw when I am not actually using it and I was overthinking how to add it to the cart. Should I do a shelf off the side, make a small angle iron rack so that it is above my welder, etc.? Like I said, overthinking. Watching your video made a mental light come on. I'm just going to take the handle off of the top of my welder (Eastwood mig 175) and stack the plasma cutter on top of the welder like you have done.
Overthinking things seems to be what I do best. FYI -- I keep my welder covered with a moving blanket from Harbor Freight help protect it and keep it clean.
Thanks for the well done video!

I screwed my plasma cutter to the top of the mig welder case using the holes for the rubber feet on the bottom of the plasma cutter. Works great.

Tom Rumish Thanks for sharing. Im glad the video helped you make a decision. I thought of screwing mine to the top as well, but the only reason I did not it's because I want it to be portable in case I ever need to grab it on the go. so for that reason I just used some rope and a rubber pad underneath of it. and now if I need to bring it to work with me or something it's a breeze to remove. I am plagued with the same problem of always over-thinking everything too LOL

Nice setup there, I've just bought a Everlast Tig 200DV and been thinking of doing same setup along with my Hypertherm 30 plasma cutter. Looks like it should work out just fine. How deep it the top on your cart? Thinks for sharing you cart.

welding on the shelf doesnt damage the welder? like when welding on a car? that looks nice and want to try it 👍

David Piceno excellent question. No I haven't had a problem. But if I'm doing some serious welding or any grinding on the Shelf, I do throw a small welding blanket I have over the unit. But honestly at the same time I'm not worried if it puts a little wear on the surfaces of the welder overtime. It's a super convenient setup and I don't think I'll ever sell this Miller. I love it! The only reason I would be concerned about keeping something cosmetically impeccable would be if I was to be reselling it. Thanks for watching and I'm glad you found it helpful!

+David Piceno I might have misunderstood your question. Did you mean could the welder electrical system be affected? the answer is no.
