I am actually happy that they will keep the game running with events and modes. I started playing last December, so I appreciate it. I understand that players who have been playing since the start may be a little disappointed, but at least for me this is a treat.

This is actually more than expected. They said no more support, so was worried about game, balance, and QoL updates to be honest. This is kinda alot more than expected. If you were expecting more your hopes were way to high, especially based on the track record.
I hadnt realised the Season was still running until this video, I finished the season pass and thought that was pretty much that, 🤣
My anticipation was that it would become like Bfv - occasionally I drop by like an old friend for a few weeks, and then drop out again.
Considering they've been lazy and trolled, lied to us during the entire game's lifecycle, this still sucks.

Until they come up with a way to let all those people who lost out on Season 1 T1 badge due their massively bugged season 1, they can kiss my butt. Just open each season back up-recycle the whole damn thing. In fact, just wrap around and re-run all the seasons. Think of all the in-game coins they can sell without having to do anything creative. 🤦🏼♂

I took a long break after launch and returned in season 2 when hit reg was finally acceptable. I’d love to be able to grind out my season 1 battle pass now and I’m sure there’s others in the same boat
Yup, would be nice if they'd let us do that. I held off until several weeks into Season One plus it took me a bit to figure out what the heck was going on, heh-heh.

Thanks for the updates going forward. I heard of you before in gaming but this is the only time I have seen any of your videos of the game. I like that there is cross-play. At first, I never really liked it because users have the consoles but it's ok now that it opens up so many doors for all gamers to see how we all have fun playing these games made by some of the best makers out there in the market. Its been real, so keep up playing your game.
I'm looking forward to trying out the older events. I haven't tried those gamemodes when the game was newish. I'm also looking forward to the quality of life changes. Perhaps they might revive Hazard Zone. Nothing stays in the dark forever.
I'll take that!... Wish it included a new map tho, even a copy & past from BF3 or 4 would be nice.
In the advanced settings menu they are adding a new manually adjustable “Expectations” tab… by default it is set to ultra-low with the other settings grayed out.
I know I'm in the minority, but I already miss the Dead Space event mode. I just wish it had more guns to pick from.
I've been playing since the game came out and I loved it then and love it now. The one thing I do really hate is slow server tic rate. It needs to be more like 45 not 30 or slower. Dieing when around corner already is pretty stupid.

@@ericgoesham535 I think you're confusing this with a successful free to play game.... Battlefield has never been free to play and this game has not was not successful. BF will always be a game that you pay your 60 to $70 and then in 3 years to 4 years you get another BF title... You want to try a live service game? try out Delta Force hawk ops if that game becomes successful, it will continue for as long as it can.

Sounds like a roadmap focused on bringing out stuff that was just lying around on a shelf basicaly. Recycling and extending existing limited content. One side of me doesn't mind it, cause it means they probably focus on a new Battlefield with the resources they have. The other side is just disappointed. This roadmap literally has that 'this game is dead to us' vibe in its core.

Some of the vehicles from Portal will really change the dynamic because the BF3 tanks and IFVs are ridiculously powerful compared to the base game ones. Also the attack jets.
I just hope they bring over Portal weapons as well. Battlefield at its core is a sandbox game. Still wish the RPG-7 had been the BC2 one instead of BF3 for the scope.
The event pass seems like something pushed by EA. Reminds of the new style of season pass they've added to Apex Legends. Kind of disappointing as it'll probably be pushing FOMO even more with players having to rush to get unlocks because of the lowered time limit before the event pass is over. Still, I had expected them to be done with the game after this season so I guess weird and/or returning content is better than no content.

Basically called this roadmap with Redux 2 (of sorts) a few weeks ago. Season 8 coming around January 2025. Calling it now.

Im glad their still doing stuff for this game, all this is extra, it may be a bad battlefield game, people may still hate it,
But the devs care still and thats what matters

Same, although with at least some easy changes like different maps and different weapons to buy in-round.
The Gew literally has 1 unique skin while most base game weapons have 8 or more!
Haven't played bf 2042 since the middle of season 6. Has dice fixed the recoil bug in the meantime and is the absolutely unnecessary visual recoil bearable?

Unfortunatly I couldn't play even if I wanted too. After the season7 update it will no linger load and the issues is the EA anticheat. They just need to fix what they have before moving forward as far as I'm concerened.

Really wish they would just open up all portals for unrestricted xp / mastery and then they can just sit back and watch the game be played

So Kevin retweeted this roadmap and in a reply to that, he also seemed to apply that the SKS and AUG (and possibly the G3) would also be added. Probably couldn't say anything definitively, but he seemed to be coyly confirming it.
I guess anything is better than nothing. As far as disappointment, I've had that since right after launch given that I thought we would see a steady roll-out of prior game maps as part of their "love letter to the fans". How amazing would it be to have a dozen or more former maps from all eras of BF available in the portal servers? Oh well.

Hmm events will have premium passes? I have 1900BFC saved up from all the seasons and was holding off buying a couple of skins for something like this. If the premium passes allow you to earn the coins back like season passes did then im fine with that. As for the vault vehicles that could be cool but they need to be balanced for the rest of the game. An example would be the bradley tank which has super powerful weapons which are probably a bit on the overpowered side but then its defenses are very limited with no APS option so i do hope they think about these things before adding something too overpowered or useless into the rest of the game.

Brain dead all of you. WW3 was a game just like delta force that will fade into obscurity. They're will always be more hype for battlefield then some irregular nock off. Planetside2 is still the best BF counterpart ever made.

What they should do is stick with just the battle passes, that way they would keep us busy until the next game.
Battlepasses have been shit. I’ve bought them all via the original 1000 coins I purchased and have played them all to completion, ending with over 2700 coins now. Honestly have not paid attention to any skins and/or trinkets because nothing was memorable, just completed the passes as a way of having something to do. I’m not really into skins or cosmetics so that’s that.
isn't this what they've promised to continue doing after they're done with the seasonal content? this is like the standard weekly rotation that every game did nowadays

It's Battlefield Redux Redux.
On PS4Pro, about two updates back this game became jonky AF. I often get stuck trying to jump over small walls or around corners a lot. Been playing since release. It is insane how bad it is. Anyone else?
Can we get server browser for all game modes like portal.
I've been grinding cause I stopped playing but this game is actually fun. I put it off for so long but got bored of war thunder. So came back to 2042.
Another disappointing thing about BF42 is the camera motion and reload animations. It's floaty, feels like your disconnected from the terrain and weapon reloads have no finesse or style, compared to even BF3. It's like Battlefield but only at 50%. Oh and the lazy takedowns too, which struggle to initiate even though you're directly behind enemies.

2042 is currently an excellent game. Cad Woman and Squid G were instrumental to 2042's success. They never gave up.
I'm happy DICE is still supporting 2042. I wish DICE would throw in more resources.
Er, no. 2042 is not an excellent game though you're entitled to your view. And don't get me started on Squid G lol.. he's practically a Dice employee 🤣🤣 Squid would tell you garbage was gold as long as he was getting paid for it . When 2042 was in it's worst, most broken state, there was Squid, pumping out the "BF2042 is AWESOME!!!" videos... Just like the paid marketeer he is 😏

I actually play Battlefield.
Many people love 2042. Many people enjoy running down games they don't play. I have no idea why they enjoy such a useless pursuit.

That's over 20 YEARS of BF games- 1942, BF2, BF2142, BC, BC2, BF3, HL, BF4, BF1, BFV, AND 2042... So what? 😏 I never said people can't _enjoy_ a bad game. You said 2042 was "excellent". I'm telling you categorically it's the worst BF ever made. I know, I've played every single one.

BF2042 is done. It got a lot of hate, but even though it was janky sometimes and I wish some things were different, it filled my battlefield needs. Let's just hope they go crazy and learned a lot for the next one.

I really enjoy your videos but it is depressing to see how easy the autoaim makes it to play sometimes where stealth or counterplay could have been used. Really dilutes the game :(

Their words are moot. Hardly anyone will care about this when they get access to that new game that is having an open alpha test soon. Its a shame, i have been a big fan of dice since bfbc2. Seeing them shit this hard on the bed is kind of sad.
The originally DICE-Team is gone since Battlefield 1. The creativity is also gone since then. No destruction at all. Just copy and past COD and Fortknite doesn't make Battlefield a Battlefield. - Play BF 3, 4 and 1 and you will know whats missing in BF2042 and following titles.
Well this new "content" will help a lot in waiting till Delta Force release or at least alpha test

Couldn’t give a damn about cosmetics and with specialists I think they’ve gone in the wrong direction, we just get more and more bored till we find an alternative, the franchise which I have played since BF3 has so lost the plot😢.

This is why competition is good. I’m sure dice saw how people liked delta force, which itself took a lot of ideas from 2042. Gotta try even a little bit to keep them around. I have around 1500 hours and I uninstalled the game for the first time when the stadium bit dropped. No fanfare no trailer. It’s like they didn’t care. So I voted with my wallet
If you bought the game at some point (which you clearly did) then that's how you voted with your wallet. Whether or not you have it installed is irrelevant.
