Hi Martine, i read your files and where to buy grafting film. So for you what is the difference between the two sides and one side matt ? and is it very important to buy the paper thickness 0.005 ?
Martine, it is so amazing! I have never seen such realistic portrait, it’s precisely like a Photo!!! I have problems with layering two colours and if I erase the surface is „closed“ and doesn’t take colour :-( I assume it’s because of the oil, because graphite pencil I have no problem with erasing. Do you know what I mean? Maybe you can give me a tip...
I hate the grain of papers, hate thinner because of health. I’ve been trying to find the right technique to create a grainless artwork with many details since years.
@@emilyerdbeere9210 well, then drafting film is indeed a good choice... no grain. And polychromos are the ones you need. I know duralar is a little smoother than grafix so you could change. But the main issue is your pressure I think. Really work with light pressure! On grafix the first layer will cover for about 50 percent, next layer 20, next layer 10 percent or so. So it gets smoother and smoother. I think I can layer up to 8 light layers of CP.
@@MartinesFineArt thank you Martine. Can you erase (maybe twice) and draw over there again? If I look for Grafix film, there always comes „Dura Lar“. Isn’t it the same Brand? Can you please give me the exactly description and the shop I can buy it? I live in Germany. I wonder if there is a big difference between the films, so is it worth to buy that because I think it is expensive. I am not sure, but it seems to me that colour is better than on dura lar matte 005. The colour is so weak that I have to draw on the backside, too.

Hi Emily, what brand of cp do you use?
Polychromos on Dura Lar Matte 005. I am so desperated, because with graphite pencil I am able to do very photorealistic artwork :-(
