Hnds down, the best info about this pedal on the internet. Nothing in the manual supplied with my RE202. In fact, there wasn't a manual. Also, the latest update is not avail on Mac, so for those thinking about buying one. Make sure you have a PC. Mac OS will not unzip the file to update the pedal. Just FYI.
Great you could add some motorbike sounds for some Cavan, I also heard some Bowie there Ziggy Stardust. 122 presets? wow the business. I think there needs to be at least 12 presets for stage use as I don't like MIDI.
It’s just an iPad stand. This one in particular is adjustable and moves if you push things too hard, & that gets super frustrating. But I reckon you could easy find one that’s more solid.
Stupid question-I own and love my RE-20 and was wondering where they put the “input volume” knob on the updated RE-202?? I’m considering upgrading with the accessibility of saving presets but don’t want to give up the ability to tweak my input volume.. great video fyi and thank you for all the in-depth knowledge!!! 🙏
That is a valid question 🤔 I don’t have this pedal anymore, I had it on loan to shoot these videos, but as you have obviously noticed, there is no input volume knob. I don’t know if there’s a way to adjust on the fly. If you want to dive deeper, I’d find a shop and try one out, and scour through the manual to see if there’s something mentioned in there.
Hey Dave! Thank you for this video! Have you tried to compare it to the Boss GT1000's Space Echo? I'm very interested to see how they compare apart from the saturation of course.
Yeah I thought the same. I can only assume that it’s been modelled from the original, which had a spring tank. In this case I think a little goes a long way.
For all reverbs, the sound saturates. I have the impression that this is due to the sound recording. Or maybe the amp is on an overdrive channel. I've listened to other videos and there's no such problem. (DeepL Translation)
I have a 202 but I don’t get that sound. The saturation knob is modeled on 201 tape and preamp performance so you can use it to get preamp drive. I love that knob.
I think he may have needed to changed to line level on the pedal using it with the interface? Not sure but I noticed this as well. The reverb really didn’t sound good here, but it sounds fine running in the front of my tube amps
ANYONE using this pedal with MIDI?? I just bought the Fender Switchboard switcher and ALL I WANT is to be able to change presets on the RE202 with the switcher but can't figure it out 😅 midi noob here PLS HELP!?
After watching many people supposedly reveiwing the DM-100 & RE-202 on RUclips, I decided to order one of each to try with my rig. It took me ten minutes on each of them to find out they wouldn't do job for me as well as the Strymon Volante does. Why ? because there's no editing on the head spacings and individual head levels, which to me matters a lot. I sent them back. If people would actually play something recognisable to get a better idea, instead of creaming over useless features such as oscillation, it would be of more use.

Actually practical and informative. Not many RE-202 videos out there which are. Good for you. Cheers. 👍
Great overview! Cheers.

Great video! What is that stand you are using to hold the pedal? I need a few of those for the control room in my studio.

@@DaveWebbMusic thanks, Dave!! I’ll see what all I can find.
Hey Dave, thank you for great demo! Actually, can you assign the saturation level knob to the expression pedal?

Is your nail polish effecting the repeats?
Not so far.

Just for you dude ruclips.net/video/rzEdFAKreaQ/видео.html&feature=sharea
There's a horrible noise with the reverb, like saturation.
Is this normal?

The reverb sounds really bad.

Yeah it’s not for everyone.
