I think the real thing either of these cars can do for us right now is demonstrate the recipe for building reliable power starting with a normal, available GT or V6 chassis. Most of us are never going to have the resources to go track down a halo car but SVT showed us how to build a director's cut if we want to maximize the platform.
Building power has never changed, it’s always been about head flow, compression, and valve events with respect to displacement. That said, boost will always be a multiplier of N/a power.
I don't think anyone's arguing that - OEM halo models just give us some insight into how you can approach power and use it on the road while still being daily reliable. They also give us some insight into what's not necessary like how a normal GT, a 5.4 Cobra and a 4.6SC Cobra all use the same air filter so if Ford figures that's plenty for 390hp it's probably not something you need to replace when warming up a NA 2-valve.
@@shoveI. Watch some Richard Holdener YT videos. Power has always been the easy part; however, emissions, R&D, cost, modular, and other parts not related to horsepower has always been the biggest factors.
