I was hoping it would be re realeased along with The rock and Con air in 2 years time. and Independence day.
"I don't know what they could do with Speed 2..." What they did was obliterate any chance of there being a Speed 3.
Maybe not completely. They asked Keanu reciently if he would do a third film and he said that he would be in it if the story was good enough. So it is not completely beyond the realm of the possible.

Great movie. I heard that at the time of the movie Keanu lost his friend River Phonix and this movie help him deal with the grief. You should watch Other Keanu great old movies like Point Break , Constantine , The Devil Advocate and Chain Reaction.

I lived in Downey, CA while this was being filmed, they were filming right by my house, as that was the freeway that was being built was the I-105 that goes from LA to Norwalk. Got to meet a few of the actors, and yes the I-105 freeway was not fully finished. So that is the freeway they used for that stunt. and it really didn't solve the traffic issues in LA. This was also around the time that Los Angeles got the bright idea to do a subway, so people would stop driving as much, and it wasn't finished either. So yeah, just a bunch of happy coincidences that were thrown into the movie.

This was the first Keanu Reeves I saw growing up!
Before Keanu Reeves was cast as the hero, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Tom Cruise, Charlie Sheen, Tom Hanks, Kurt Russell, Jeff Bridges, Alec Baldwin, Wesley Snipes, Emilio Estevez, Patrick Swayze, Woody Harrelson, and Stephen Baldwin were considered for the role.
Meryl Streep, Ellen DeGeneres, Halle Berry, and Kim Basinger were considered for Annie until Sandra Bullock was picked.
Jack Nicholson, Al Pacino and Robert DeNiro were considered for the mad bomber until Dennis Hopper was picked.
Halle berry would have gotten the role, but I believe she said, there wasn't enough dialog & she didn't want to drive that bus! Go figure? Years later she co stared with Keanu in John Wick: Parabellum All the actors you listed are all Great, and could see them in those characters of Jack Annie.
Growing up in the 90s, I LOVED this movie! I’ve probably seen it 3-4 dozen times
Example how to make a really good action film: actors who have chemistry, non-stop adrenaline pumping action and good practical effects.
The way you respond with "What?" at certain parts, like when they told him the freeway wasn't finished 😂😂😂💀 Love your sense of humor. Not sure what the other Keanu Reeves movie you've seen is, I know The Matrix is one. Unless you've watched them off the channel already, I'd recommend finishing up that trilogy. The Devil's Advocate is another good one, and there's a lesser known flick of his called Knock, Knock that I'd highly recommend. Be blessed 🙂

A Keanu Reeves movie that you should watch is the Devils Advocate.. it's very riveting..
Totally different genre than this one, but yes, The Devil's Advocate is a very good movie.

I remember the first time seeing 'Speed' it was such a, gritting your teeth, bitting your nails, pulling out your hair, peeing your pants, sitting on the edge of your seat, INTENSE movie!!!!😳🤪Definitely an Emotional roller-coaster ride!!!🤣👍
I remember how big this movie was when it came out... so much so that us kids thought it was cool to write "B@*b on bus" on papers when we in a vehicle and put it up against the glass for others to see. It didn't last too long for us kids though we learned it wasn't a joke you want to play. But we were kids we didn't know any better. 😅😅😅
When this first came out, a critic commented that it knew exactly what it was doing--it was a movie about big, dumb things going fast. And it succeeded admirably in its goal.

The Replacements is hands down my favorite non John Wick Keanu Reeves movie.
T2 guy is a great swat leader actor. I rewatched it and was constantly like "wait... is that the same guy?" Cuz his character is so dif in personality

This is the first time I realized, Jeff Daniels plays a character named Harry in "Speed" and in "Dumb and Dumber."
You'd get a laugh with "Dumb and Dumber."
I saw the title, and was wondering what kind of attire/prop you would wear, or filter you would use as a fun (and appreciated) compliment to this film. Hmm... I'm not into cars, but have noted a baffling trend towards red cars and "go faster" red stripes on them, hence the red dress? Then again, to me the colour red is probably more associated with STOP, when it comes to speed. So is the dress a double entendre, or possibly a... tee-tee... red herring? 😅😵💫
But then again, is the dress actually orange? I'm confusing myself. 🙃
If the news stops broadcasting I'm sure he would detonate it as easily as he did when he blow the breaks off of the elevator after he heard them meddling around.

Dennis Hopper plays a good bad guy. For a bizarre movie where he’s a great villain is “Blue Velvet”. Also, definitely check out Keanu movies “Constantine”, “Point Break” and “The Devils Advocate”. There is a remake of Point Break but don’t do that one. Make sure to do the Keanu one.
Loved "Speed". "Speed 2" was a stinker, in my opinion. Glad you liked this one it earned it.
If you're looking for a good keanu movie I recommend street Kings. It's very underrated

If you want a romantic film with "young" Keanu, I heartily recommend A Walk in the Clouds. You will feel so good by the end of the movie. I can't wait to see your reaction! Great reaction to Speed! Speed II is a letdown. Just sayin'. 📽🧡

Other than Speed, Constantine is my favorite Keanu Reeves movie. The Day the Earth Stood Still is decent too even though Jaden Smith was annoying af in it lol.

You are amazing! Watching the movie with you makes them even more enjoyable. Please watch "STEVEN SEAGAL" movies like Above the Law, For Justice, Under Siege 2. Your reactions during fight scenes are incredibly impressive... You make those scenes more exciting.
The water-bound "Speed 2: Cruise Control" was a monumental disaster, making many all-time bad movie lists. Big budget and absurd plot. Bullock made the regrettable decision to return. Keanu didn't. I recommend watching it only for laughs.
Constantine is great, and The Matrix of course.

Also this IS NOT a Terminator 2/Aliens situation with this franchise.
The sequel was horrendous and if we pretend it never happened I can save you from a disappointment that isn't even enjoyable in an "ironic or intentionally ridiculous way"
Love Sandra Bullock and Willem Dafoe but definitely not worth a reaction.
Die Hard With A Vengeance came out a year after Speed in 95 and there are a lot of cool things you'd find similar to Speed.
You be editing hella f bombs out though!
There is Die Harder which you've not seen in between if you were doing in sequence order though.

I'm sorry if my opinion offended you or you legitimately like Speed 2.
I normally only recommend films rather discredit them.
HOWEVER, I'll explain WHY I did on this occasion.
In this video, Gabby really enjoys Speed and actually ASKS US, as there is a sequel will it be as good or better like Terminator 2.
I was giving my input answering her question with my honest opinion.
Just like Music, opinions are subjective.
However, RATINGS and of a credible source represent the widespread accurate acknowledgement of the film in its entirety to be represented by an understandable numerical rating.
Let's use IMDB as a measuring stick as it's the most widely used.
Gabby used Terminator 2 to ask as the comparison, (which is widely regarded as one of, if not the greatest sequel ever made)
Speed 2 is not even worth a watch if you're thinking of T2 as a potential comparison sequel or just to watch AND I STICK BY THAT.

(Masterpiece)
Terminator 2: JD - 8.6 / 10
(Masterpiece surpasses original rating)
Speed - 7.3 / 10

Furthermore, on IMDB Trivia, Sandra Bullock said in 2000, "Speed 2 is the biggest piece of crap ever made," and she only did the film for the money.
If Gabby asked what film I can recommend that is a car crash for 2 hours (but on a ship) not ever worth watching. I'd say Speed 2.

I wouldn't bother watching Speed 2, Keanu Reeves wasn't even casted in it. Fun Fact: Hailey Berry was offered the role of Annie but turned down the role opening up for Sandra Bullock. And it was found recently that both Reeves and Bullock had a crush on each other during filming but both were too shy to approach one another.
I perfectly understand that somebody had a crush on Sandra Bullock.

Ellen DeGeneres was also considered when the character of Annie was written as a comical sidekick
Speed 2 is really bad. Keanu is no even in it and it ruins the relationship between Jack and Annie.

Speed 2 has some funny moments but overall is an extremely cheap rip-off. Speed already had some unrealistic moments, however Speed2 literally went "overboard". It's a neat movie if you don't have anything else to watch, but I would not recommend it :)
