This is one of these movies you *CAN'T BELIEVE* you went to see almost 30 years ago. I was 14. My son's HS graduation is in 11 days.
Yes 🙌🏻 lol and congratulations to your son! 🎉
I was thinking that I saw it in the theater, too. Crazy how time flies, although my son is only in the Fourth grade. 😄
@@fuelman1391 I heard mine recently say Sandra Bullock "can still get it," so you have that to look forward to👍👍
😂😂😂
Congratulations to your kid! Also... Wow, I yeah I just... I'm going to go sit and reflect on just how much time has passed since I first seen this masterpiece.
Movies like this are so rarely made anymore and it's such a shame. One of the best action films of the 90s for sure.
Yes but kissing in the end was not necessary. No need to turn it into love story.
@@azazello1784 that's sums up Hollywood lol
@@azazello1784 try watch the player (Tom robin) 1992 I think, satire about Hollywood
Well, they did applied the same story on a cruise line (Speed 2), a train (Under Siege 2), a plane (Turbulence) and metro (Taking of Pelham123). Did I miss any?
@@azazello1784 Sure there was. Hero gets the bad ass girl, and the girl gets her hunkahunka burning love. Classic trope. Part of what makes it so good after so many years.
I have fond memories of seeing this movie in the theater back in '94. The theater was packed and everyone was so into the movie. Truly an epic experience.
Wish I saw it in the theaters. Saw it on VHS and thought it was the most amazing movie that year.
It certainly was the underground hit! Extremely entertaining and exciting. Something allot of so called action movies are missing now-a-days.
I envy you.
Speed is a total 90s film !!! Insane plot, big expolsions, crazy villian and good tensions.Still an enjoyable movie tho.
@@powerbad696 In short, a movie that delivers in entertainment.
Back in the 90s (and 80s), you were able to give your brain a break from reality and just enjoy the cheesy fun.
@@DocMicrowave So true. And I love cheese. LOL.
Keanu and Sandra also starred in The Lake House together, it's completely different but still has their great chemistry.
yep
"Pop Quiz hot shot" was going around so much at that time and was silly as hell, fun memories. also fun fact Bullock turned out to be a legit bad ass bus driver : P
Yeah, radio shows, late night tv shows, and other movies loved referencing that for the next five years or so.
My family STILL says this regularly at odd situations.😁
This movie was such a surprise when it came out, no one expected it to be a hit.
It was a great movie! It really put Keannu Reeves (and Sandra Bullock) on the map.
French Club with Frau?
@patron40silver
First two rules of French Club is, you DO NOT TALK ABOUT FRENCH CLUB!
It's a preposterous plot, but it's directed and acted so well that you don't care.
Fun Fact: The missing highway was an actual part of the unfinished 105 highway when they were building it. The movie production was taking place at the same time and the directors and writers incorporated it into the movie.
The opportunity was too good to pass up as a once-in-a-lifetime movie moment.
Totally ignored the laws of physics
@@-M0LE The bus had repulsorlifts.
There was a ramp that was taken out in post.
@@-M0LE ahh, we know the laws of physics are not in play here. Movie magic always supersedes the laws of Newton and Einstein. That memo was sent out last month along with the new TPS reports.
What's fun about that?
Another fun Keanu Reeves movie to check out is “The Replacements”. It also stars Gene Hackman and co-stars a young Jon Favreau
Mark Mancina's score for this movie was perfect as well. It's got this constant drive to it.
The director Jan de Bont was a cinematographer before. This was his first directing job. He previously shot Die Hard, The Hunt for Red October, Basic Instinct, Black Rain, and Lethal Weapon 3.
Yeah nothing much, uh?
That baby buggy part gave everyone a heart attack, so don't feel bad.
Followed by crushing relief at the sight of the cans. 😅
Jeff Daniels was the main character in “TBR’s” favorite movie, Arachnophobia.
TBR must have blocked that out of memory. That doesn't explain Samantha though. 😂
He’s also Roger in the live action 101 Dalmatians movie. 🎉
Man the 90's was very special time for action movies. 80's action movies were kind of gritty where as the 90's were bombastic. Every action movie felt like it was just larger than life.
Yep
ONE of my fav action movies ever!! So 90s... Dennis Hopper is one badass villain and Keanu & Sandra are pure magic on screen 😍
1:33 "Dumb & Dumber" 😉 I also enjoy Jeff Daniels in ”Gettysburg”
“The Lake House” - Keanu & Sandra’s only other movie together. Pretty good fantasy/romance. Hope you guys react to it!
Why? Was too predictable... Annie should have died in the end as a twist.
same
Hey TBR and Sam You realize that Speed is essentially "Die HArd" on a bus. ------- "Die Hard" became the prototype script for making an action movie in the '90s. ------- When directors or writers started off the pitch meeting to execs they would go, "Picture Die HArd on a bus, or Die Hard on a mountain cliff." Cliff HAnger has the same thrill a minute as Die HArd and Speed.
Agreed, this could have easily been Die Hard 3, with Willis in the Keanu role. Would it have been as good? Who knows....
So is the movie Under Siege with Steven Segal
And all three had great villains.John Lithgow was awesome in cliffhanger, and Tommy Lee Jones was great in Under Siege
I haven't watched Speed in so many years. I saw it in the theater, actually. This cemented Keanu Reeves' career but it was also Sandra Bullock's breakthrough role. She had done some movies before, like "Love Potion No. 9" and most recently at the time would've been "Demolition Man". After Speed, she was in the higher-pay bracket with starring roles. I think "The Net" was her next big one. [EDIT] next was "While You Were Sleeping", then The Net.
Dennis Hopper was always great in the villain role. See "Blue Velvet" if you haven't yet. I think that's Hopper's most iconic villain role while "Easy Rider" was his and Jack Nicholson's breakthrough.
Keanu wasn't respected at all though, he was known, but I remember him being the butt of the jokes when people talked about bad actors. It's one of the reasons why the Matrix needed a bit to hit it's stride as people rolled their eyes when they heard it was a movie with Keanu.
@@Robalogot It also didn't help that he starred in Johnny Mnemonic a few years before the Matrix, which was based on the cyberpunk story by William Gibson of the same name, which bombed massively. So having Keanu star in a movie that had a subject matter closely related to that of JM was seen as preloading the movie for imminent failure.
Bullock had gotten noticed by a lot of critics from "The Vanishing" in 1993.
@@paintedjaguar Which is the inferior US remake of "Spoorloos", a very good Dutch movie, which in turn was an adaptation of a Dutch novel called "Het gouden ei" (the golden egg)
@@YouHaventSeenMeRight I've seen both. Equally depressing.
The practical effect of the bus jump is amazing. The driver had to be suspended in a webwork of bunny cords in the center of the bus to not break his spine.
Yes! One of the best action movies of the 90’s, or ever! This one is just straight-up fun! I am very surprised that “Ronin” scored so low in your poll. That’s another great 90’s action film, and one of my favorites!
That must be because weird Irish accent lol
Agreed, big fan of Ronin.
As it is... In the Line of Fire is only now juuuust starting to get the odd reaction vid done for it. It might be some time yet before Ronin gets done :/
Ronin has pretty much the best car chases on film. The story is so-so, but the action and thriller elements are nuts.
I'm all for them watching Ronin as well. It's a very good action thriller with great actors; and, as Lightbringer mentioned above, it has some of the most fantastically filmed and executed car chases you'll ever see in movies!
Agreed. "Ronin" is a terrific movie.
i love this film, but my favourite keanu reeves film is POINT BREAK! its a must see film. make sure its the one with keanu and not the remake. and yes, its nice to see imnot the only one that thinks its sad that keanu and sandra didnt get together, they would have made an amazing couple because they are so laid back, chilled and fun people. maybe they will get together in the after life? 🙂
Also, my favourite sandra bullock film is THE NET, 90s awesomeness. yes i have always had a crush on her. 😍
17:05 Samantha's hilarious sometimes. 🤣🤣🤣 Simple answer is water's slightly less deadly.
that's why water balloon fights are a thing and concrete balloon fights arent't
"Speed" is an important movie, if for no other reason than it is the movie where Keanu ARRIVED! That said, you have to check out "Point Break" and "My Own Private Idaho." "Point Break" is a great movie with action sequences that need to be seen to be believed. "My Own Private Idaho" is a very intimate film about unrequited love. Also, it has River Phoenix, who could have been the greatest actor of the last thirty years.
"The River's Edge" is where Keanu started and is still one of his best movies.
What, no Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure?
How about "Parenthood" from 1989 with Keanu and a very young Joaquin Phoenix?
Also Sandra Bullock. This film made her in Hollywood as well.
Agreed. Yes he had B+T and other cult classics under his belt, but this film made him an A lister.
Great reaction. 'Speed' was one of Keanu's breakout roles! You should check out 'Point Break,' it was before he starred in this and it has Patrick Swayze in it, you two would like it.
Was going to say the same thing.
Yeah, James Cameron was a producer for it too.
Point Break is an absolute classic
Bill and Ted 1989 - 1991 (2 movies , tv series) , Point Break 1991 , Dracula 1992 , Speed 1994 , Johnny Mnemonic 1995 and The Devil's Advocate 1997
Agree 💯%
If y'all like to see Dennis Hopper in another villain role,i would suggest BLUE VELVET(1986),Its directed by David Lynch.
I've seen a ton of movies in the theater and I've seen many movies multiple times in the theater. Speed is the only movie I have seen in the theater twice in the same day (with different groups of friends). A lot of ridiculous moments but so very fun!
As cheesy as this sounds, this movie is 1 of the reasons I got into law enforcement in 1998 😂😆
Yesssss here we gooooo…. Y’all seen “The Rock” yet??
Yesss
Add "Face/Off" for another killer Nicolas Cage movie. Damn he was killing it for a stretch there.
Yes the 2nd movie is Speed 2 Cruise Control on a Cruise Liner. To put it in perspective, Sandra said it was a movie she was embarrassed to be in because the plot made no sense. IIRC I believe the reason she did it was because of the movie Hope Floats that she wanted to do. Jason Patric filled the role instead for Speed 2. Keanu saw the script and said no to it. Unless you are doing bad movie night at sometime I would not recommend it. But they (Keanu and Sandra) would do another film together called The Lake House.
That's the only movie that I've ever considered walking out of. We all decided to stay because we were already there and had to see it through.
"The Lake House" is another winner. "Hope Floats" not so much, unfortunately.
The 105 goes straight from LAX to the 605. It was just completed, but hadn't been open to the public yet so they could use it.
The competition at that time to Speed is worth a watch too...
*BLOWN AWAY* (1994 Jeff Bridges, Tommy Lee Jones, Forrest Whitaker) was also a great movie, much more serious about explosives, I personally feel its even better than SPEED, the problem was it came out a month after Speed so it kind of got ignored. The trailer for it was funny at the time bc it said " _Blown Away makes Speed look like a slow ride to grandmas house_ " 😄
Yes Must watch
Yes. I AGREE, This movie is a must watch.
I guess Hollywood had a trend in the 90s with movies about mad bombers on the loose? Perhaps inspired by the Unabomber?
Great recommendation! 👍🔥
Absolutely! Not the non-stop adrenaline rush that Speed is, but much better plot and acting, and just a better movie overall. Good recommendation.
Speed was one of the top action films from the 90's. Glad you both got to this film! Another great action thriller film is 'Broken Arrow' - 1996 film starring John Travolta. Add to your future watch list.
Was thinking about that one too while watching this reaction. They should just do a poll on 90s action movies: Broken Arrow, The Rock, Con Air, Faceoff, Armageddon, Under Siege … would Falling Down fit? Probably not. I think that’s its own unique thing.
@@MP197742 AGREE with that list. Under Siege is a definite watch! Lets add 'The Substitute' - 1996 Tom Berenger.

I swear...Keanu Reeves is immortal, he barely look older than that in real life !! He usually choose well his roles and Speed is no different ! Fun like Point break !!
I believe there is a painting of Keanu Reeves in his attic that is getting older instead of him.

One of the best bomb movies in my opinion, SUPER INTENSE, Grabs your attention and keeps it for the whole movie. CANNOT BE OVERLOOKED.
Blown Away is excellent, yes. Great cast too.
And a good follow up to Speed! And THEN they should watch another good follow up: Arlington Road.
True lies
Great Pick! "Speed" was to my knowledge the first type of this fast edited, fast story, no brakes summer block buster, what later became a staple of the 90s and early 2000s. And in my opinion it did it best. Better than "The Rock", better than "Con Air" and so on. For me personally it was the first movie I watched where I literally grapped my seat the whole film through and never got an emotional release - pure adrenaline all 116 minutes.
Great reaction as always. Coming from a retired elevator mechanic and then inspector, they have several safety features now that they didn’t have back when this movie was made. Even blowing up the elevator safety brakes now couldn't kill you. Alot has to go wrong for an elevator to free fall. All that being said, elevators can be very dangerous and I have seen some awful stuff while in the industry. I've had some close calls myself. Proceed with caution. Even I don't always take the elevators. FYI, Escalators are worst. I don't let my family get on them. We don't call them meat grinders in the industry for no reason.
I've always read that the invention of elevator safety brakes made skyscrapers possible. Truth or urban myth?
@@tenchraven But you could make an argument for steel technology and figuring out how to erect buildings that can flex with the winds.
@@paintedjaguar It made them practical.
Not all elevators have safeties though.
@@dennislopez1272 Ouch. I thought they did.

The Fugitive looks like it tied in your poll. In my opinion, although Speed was good, The Fugitive is one of the best movies of all time. Hopefully, you guys react to that one too. Um... 2 seconds after I paused the video to view the results of the poll- you answered my request. Haha... that's how good you guys are and why you're the best reactors of them all! :) VERY MUCH looking forward to that reaction next week.
It would be cool to see a Speed movie with Samantha driving the bus, and TBR trying to coach her through it. 🚌
LOL- Great Idea. 👍👍👍
Just make sure the freeway construction is finished this time!
I can imagine a deep fake of that.
Speed is such a classic. It's both cheesy, funny and an exhilarating thriller too, something that not many movies have ever really achieved since. I watch Speed any time it's on the TV and have probably seen it over 100 times in my life. Keanu and Sandra did great in this as well as the other supporting actors.
Good point. For me Scream, T2 and this are my favorite 90s films. Timeless films.
This was a blockbuster when it came out. It still surprises me when I meet adults who have never even heard of it (since they weren't even born yet).
I’m glad you decide to watch the Fugitive also. While Speed is a solid movie, the Fugitive is an all time great!
Is the Fugitive where the “Tommy Lee Jones is wet and shouting I DON’T CARE with his hands up” meme gif comes from?
@@davidw.2791 lol, yeah it sure is. Tommy Lee Jones did a phenomenal job in that role as well as Harrison Ford
@@jaybird455 Thanks! I only know that he’s the main cop trying to arrest “the Dangerous Criminal Harrison Ford”. I guess I will be muchly surprised when I finally see the moment in context.
@@davidw.2791 haha, enjoy! It’s a good movie!
Such a great action movie from the absolute peak of that genre (the 90's)!
Sparkling chemistry between Bullock and Neo 🔥😆
"Mystery guest, please sign in" is a reference to the game show, 'What's my Line?' which was on the air for about 25 years.
The shot of all the support slowing down and separating from the bus always gets me.
At that moment they were literally on their own, heading for that gap.
One of my favourite action movies. I love seeing people's reactions to the baby stroller scene. The movie is such a wild ride from start to end.
One of the best action films of the 90s with a very different hero. It doesn't let up and stands the test of time perfectly. Sandra was the girl next door you married.
I really love Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock too. They both really did a good job in this movie for real.👍👍👍👍
There is an unintentional trilogy for Alan Ruck, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, Speed, Twister. After high school Cameron floats around for a while and eventually goes to LA and ends up in Speed. After the adrenaline rush of being on that bus he joins up with a bunch of storm chasers and chases tornadoes for a living in Twister.
Glad to see that "The French Connection" made it to your list of movies on your poll (I had suggested that it be submitted). It is far and away the best movie compared to all of the other movies on this poll. This crime thriller won the 1971 Oscars for Best Picture, Best Actor (Gene Hackman), Best Director (William Friedkin of "The Exorcist"), Best Film Editing, and Best Adapted Screenplay. It was also nominated for Best Supporting Actor (Roy Scheider from "Jaws"), Best Cinematography, and Best Sound Mixing.
It has one of the best car chase sequence one would want to see. Your patreons should vote for this crime thriller; they are are pretty sharp/good (compared to many other groups who are prone to recency bias), so i hope this one gets selected in the future.
Never saw what all the fuss was about myself, but then I wasn't a fan of the "gritty realism" fad of the seventies. Thought it was overdone and undercooked for the most part, and car chases bore me to tears. Used to enjoy real life Demolition Derbys when I was a kid though.
This was one of the most intense and fun movies I ever had the pleasure of watching in a movie theater. This was 1994's best summer action flick, and it still stands up the the best modern day action films, in my opinion. Stay away from the sequel though. Seriously.
The I-105 freeway in Los Angeles was still under construction during the filming of this movie. It was only a few months away from completion, so they were able to utilize it to their advantage. Very convenient timing lol
This movie is still one of my favorite movie theater experiences. We all applauded at the end.
You guys should check out “The Net”
Another great action film starring Sandra Bullock ❤
Jan de Bont, the director of Speed, was also the cinematographer on a movie called Roar (1981), which everyone should see at least once. He was pretty badly injured making it, and he wasn't the only one. It's one of the most insane things ever filmed.
Sounds like his name should have been Jan Be Don't.
+1, it's the most insane thing ever filmed
It's like 2001 of "Things not to do to your actors and crew" XD
What happened to Jan De Bont's career? He was a good action director, who had everything to continue succeeding and suddenly nothing was heard of him anymore. I think the failure of Speed 2 ruined his career, right?
@@andarporbuenosaires Well, he directed a few more financially-sucessful-critically-panned movies after Speed 2. I think after the Lara Croft movie (2003) he was just sick of working with studios; he'd turned 60, had some money, and so decided to just walk away.
He was also the cinematographer on the first "Die Hard".
What makes this movie is the chemistry between Keanu and Sandra. They are both so damn likeable that it just oozes thru the screen. They are incredibly easy to root for.
This was the directorial debut of Jan De Bont, who was an acclaimed cinematographer on many films.
One of the reasons why Reeves and Bullock have been icons since the 1990s.
The late Dennis Hopper as one of the best villains of the era.

Terrifc reactions as always! 🙋🏼♂️
Action movie Nic Cage is a riot.
This movie was originally written by Graham Yost, who would go on to create the TV series "Justified" several years later. Though, this movie was coming off his his time as a writer on the Nickelodeon kids series "Hey, Dude." Yost had thanked Joss Whedon for having rewritten a vast majority of the dialogue and changing up some of the character personalities, though the SWG wouldn't give him a co-writing credit. He said the studio had wanted to delay shooting 6 weeks after seeing Keanu Reeves' short hair having been cut right before filming was set to begin. They relented and did not delay production, but had little faith in the movie performing well. Only during test screenings when they realized everyone getting up to use the bathroom kept facing the screen while they left the theater did it hit them that maybe they had a surprise hit on their hands.
After the movie was a success in theaters, Fox decided to commission a sequel and Graham Yost offered his services to come back and write the sequel. The producers told him they already had a screen writer and his services would not be required. He said that all of the research he had before writing Speed was a 2-hour ride on a public bus, while the person they hired to write the sequel was sent on a 2-week cruise as "research." Needless to say, Keanu did not return for the sequel and it ended up bombing in theaters.
Jeff Daniels, he's in that movie you must have tried so hard to forget you watched - Arachnophobia
Elevators are very safe, once the cable tension is broken a fail-safe locking mechanism activates that prevents the car from falling.
Hey, just to let you know: "Midnight Run" is a comedy, it's not an action movie (although it has action in it, ala "48 Hours", "Beverly Hills Cop", "Ghostbusters" etc) It's De Niro's first full-blown comedy (although The King Of Comedy definitely fits the bill as well).
One of my favorites. It’s definitely a nail biter. Every time I watch SPEED, I find myself nervously rocking back and forth. I remember seeing this at the cinema. Yikes! Can’t believe how old this movie is. Or how old that makes me. There is a sequel, but, it’s awful. DON’T waste your time.
That's true, even though the sequel has Bullock and also Willem Dafoe it's a desperate and messy looking film and not nearly half as good as Speed.
The idea of a mad bomber and a bomb on a passenger bus goes at least all the way back to Alfred Hitchcock's "Sabotage" in 1936, and the idea of a running subway train with hostages and ransom goes back to the original film version of Taking of Pelham 1,2,3 back in 1973. There's usually never anything really new in movies if you know the history of them.
"Break her hands" made me laugh out loud lol
One of my favorite 90's action movies. I love how it's bus 2525 that the bad guy uses for his big plan
what's the significance of the bus number?
@@Jigsawn2 25 plus 25 = 50 the speed the bus needs to go
Samantha's F-bomb at 26:28 is HILARIOUS!
Some referals:
Dennis Hopper (you also know him from 'Apocalypse Now' - Easy Ryder (1969)
Sandra Bullock - Murder by Numbers (2002)
Keanu Reeves - Bram Stoker's Dracula (1992)
Glenn Plummer (the Jaguar owner) - Menace II Society (1993)
and don't forget "Dead Poets Society"
The 105 freeway was being built when the film was in production, so it worked out great for the studio.
I was still working at L.A. Airport when this was filmed: the area where they had tha bus going in circles, was known as the "remote pads", and at the time, the taxiway that connects the north and south sides of the airport was being moved there.
The hangar the bus went through, used to be the TWA maintenance hangar, and the bus used to get everybody off the city bus, is an actual airport shuttle bus, used when passengers need to be moved between planes parked at the remote pads, and the terminals, and they're allowed to drive on the taxiways.
The bank ad on the rear of the Santa Monica Bus, was a real ad(!), and that was a real (retired) Santa Monica city bus.
And as mentioned, the 105 was still under construction: Nobody ever thought it would happen, because it was supposed to be built in the '60's or '70's, but lots of lawsuits slowed it. (Same freeway used in "Hancock")
Three more overlooked but great somewhat suspensful films for 'ya:
"Capricorn One"
"To Live And Die In L.A."
"Falling Down".
🙂
What’s interesting is that Joss Whedon, in his uncredited rewrite, took a lot of the 90s “hotshot” cockiness out of the film, and made Jack more of a normal guy. (He was also responsible for the retirement watch plot.)
Omg I was so in love with Keanu Reeves when this movie came out
Suffice it to say, to this day, I go weak for black cargo pants and a crew cut 😅😂
Both those things, the 105 freeway and the subway were literally under construction for years in l.a. county. it was so cool that the movie incorporated all of that.
Bill and Ted is always a legit good time. Most triumphant movies.
I was born Feb 22,1990, I grew up watching speed on VHS over and over again....!!!!
A quote from Homer Simpson: I saw this in a movie about a bus that had to SPEED around the city, keeping its SPEED over fifty, and if its SPEED dropped, it would explode! I think it was called ... "The Bus That Couldn't Slow Down."
If you recall. Jack told the bomber he'd rip out his spine. Now watch the end where they're on top of the train. Look, really close when he loses his head, and you'll see his spine rips out too.
Guys just a shout out and thank you for your infectious enjoyment which today especially made my Sunday morning. Long may it continue
oh wow this is gone be good! One of the best, most rewatchable popcorn flicks ever.
Yea! Glad you two are also going to watch The Fugitive.
Love that movie, great drama.
my childhood film. i still have it on dvd to this day. this is and always be my favorite movie. I used to watch the heck out of this when I was little because of the Bus.
This is such a perfect action movie. It keeps you on the edge of your seat the entire movie. ‘90s action movies knew how to do it! Honestly in my opinion this is the best Keanu Reeves movie!
The reason why the ending is so odd was that Jeff Daniels's character was set to be the main villain of the film with Dennis Hopper being his henchman. But halfway through filming, they had problems filming in writing that ending, so they just put together this ending.
I don't that's exactly what happened. In the original script, Harry was revealed to be the bad guy behind everything. But it was rewritten(I believe by Joss Whedon) and Harry and Payne were split into two characters before they ever started filming.
And it also had you on the edge on the seat. That is how much I really loved this movie for real.
It’s funny what Samantha says at the beginning “I thought this was gonna be about a car… I thought he was gonna be around for the whole movie”
You couldn't make this movie today without CG. Literally. Most of the freeway overpasses in SoCal had been destroyed a couple months earlier during the Northridge earthquake. They were all under extensive reconstruction at the time and the film makers took advantage of that.
They can't do innovation things anymore. But it was difficult now to filmed it
“Jeff Daniels?” “Who’s that?”
Since you didn’t say, “he was the guy in Dumb & Dumber with Jim Carrey”, now you have to watch “Dumb & Dumber”. Not that Jeff Daniels career can be reduced to that movie, but it’s iconic.
33:39 "Break her hands off" LMAO like she's made of Legos.
Funny thing... Keanu and Sandra had a thing for each other during filming, but they never told the other one.
They later found out on the Ellen show.
Something absolutely lovely about this film... some 25 years later on Ellen both Keanu and Sandra admitted to having MASSIVE crushes on each other, but both were too shy to say anything.
One of my favorite action movies ever. I watched this movie over and over again as a kid.
I actually saw SPEED opening day at the Mann’s Chinese, the theater showing 2001:A SPACE ODYSSEY at the end of SPEED. When the subway crashed outside in front of the theater, we all went crazy and cheered.
"BLOWN AWAY" with Jeff Bridges & Tommy Lee Jones is a great one guys
Twister (1996) is also a great one from the same director/cameraman Jan de Bont! 👌🏼✌🏼
This is a top tier action movie. Full *SPEED* from beginning to end.
*Point Break* is the Keanu movie to see, and *Constantine* is pretty good too. Has a small role as Duke Caboom in *Toy Story 4* and *The Replacements* is a decent football movie.
“I watch enough high speed pursuits to know that” 😂😂😂. Samantha is so cute!!!
Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure! Baby Keanu's role that defined him and made him spend years trying to escape his "Woah, dude!" character. I love it!
The unfinished freeway is the 105 freeway in Los Angeles. I wasn't born when Speed was film and only a couple of months old when it was released, but when I first watched it, I kept thinking the set up looked familiar and my mother confirmed it. One of the perks of living in LA, you see a whole bunch of movie sets.
