One of the times I stayed home sick from school way back when happened to be the very day that The Price Is Right was promoting Happy Gilmore and Bob Barker's featured cameo in it. The first Showcase was the standard fare, but the second one began with CBS airing the entire hilarious fight scene between Bob and Happy, and they aired the lines "The price is wrong, bitch!" and Bob Barker later retorting "Now you've had enough... bitch." uncensored (that's how I remember it anyway). The final prize was a deluxe Winnebago, presented by Adam Sandler himself... but the ending was anti-climactic, as the contestant underbid on it by like $80,000. Anyhow, that's my random Happy Gilmore story.
Also, I gotta add, that Christopher McDonald as Shooter gives one of the best multi-tiered facial reactions ever after "You eat pieces of shit for breakfast?" - - "... ...No!" Cracks me up every time.
Finally, you two might think you've reacted to a lot of movies for this channel, but the way I see it, you've only just begun.

Those early Sandler movies were definitely the best of his career; the thing is although the comedy was outstanding and sometimes out of nowhere (what some might say "stoner comedy") they also had heart, whether the grandma in HG or winning his fathers respect in Billy Madison, which later movies didnt have. Sandler’s movies are known for their raucous comedy, but if you notice there’s a sweetness to them that critics fail to see. His characters usually perform a random act of kindness towards someone. Here, he hires the homeless man as his caddy. In “Billy Madison” and “The Wedding Singer” (with Drew Barrymore) there are a couple of scenes which if you’ve seen the movies you know what I’m talking about.
Even in this film, Happy is extremely loyal and loving to his grandma. There is an extra scene in the TV cut where Happy gets his revenge on Ben Stiller’s character.

I let my kids watch this with me when they were very young ( 8 and 5). At one point they were repeating the Bob Barker fight scene dialogue in public. I had to sit them down and talk about appropriate places to not use that language. I was lucky that they were very mature and got it so we could keep watching the movie, every now and then.

Rocky, Predator, Happy Gilmore. Why does Carl Weathers always die? haha
This one takes me back to my senior year in high school, playing hooky and seeing it at the theater. This, Billy Madison and The Waterboy will always be my favorite Sandler movies.
The "You Jackass" guy was Joe Flaherty. He was a huge part of the sketch comedy show SCTV in the late 70s/early 80s, with Harold Ramis, John Candy, Eugene Levy, Martin Short, Catherine O'Hara and Rick Moranis. I think Count Floyd was Flaherty's most memorable character. You saw him play a bit part as the Western Union guy at the end of Back to the Future 2.
