  • This is our 2023 Lawn Care Setup. We made the switch last year from a 14 ft single axle open trailer to a 20x8.5 enclosed trailer which has been much needed. Ill walk you through the setup front to back starting at the truck. The unique part about this setup is that we have started to integrate battery power into our business and have found success with it on the commercial level. Which I personally believe many in this industry are afraid to make the switch. Our mowers are a 52" toro grandstand and 60" toro zmaster 5000 with a triple bagger. We pull our trailer with a 2014 high mile crew cab long bed chevy 2500hd with a 6.0 gas engine. The enclosed trailer is a 23 american hauler. The hand tools are all stihl including br800 backpack blowers, hs56 hedge trimmer, km91r, fs91r, fsa135 battery whip. I have another video i posted a while back of setting up the trailer. Feel free to go back and check it out.

My 09 titan’s transmission blew up on me at 260k. I put 120k on it over 5 years. Now I have a 21 titan and I’ve already put 40k miles on it lol.
I’ve had great success with the Titan but I was considering a Chevy awhile back.
That trailer you got is BIG. I pull a 5 x 14 brand new in 2018. The floor was warping terribly so I had a mobile welder, weld steel bars horizontal to cross the original vertical bars. It took it to a 30k lb weight capacity from 8k.
I run echo, but I love Stihl too. I see you have a battery powered stick tool with a Darwin’s grip, everyone swears by the Darwin’s grip.

Yeah, echo and stihl both work great. Those cross bars were an excellent idea. Most trailers run angle iron or a thinner c channel which tends to bow or warp over time. Toyota makes excellent trucks, you can't go wrong 👌

I like that the First Aid and Fire Extinguisher are easy to get to. We keep ours in the Truck, you might not have a trailer depending on what you're doing.

Those 2 items are an absolute must. No matter where they are located... as long as they are relatively easy to get to.

Ive been using a 6x12 tandem axel for years now. Im finally getting a 7x14 this winter because im tired of squeezing everything, i then see this trailer and my mouth starts watering haha glad to see ya growing! No one wants to actually work anymore so i love seeing others do the damn thing. Liked and subbed!

Haha, thanks for the sub and the comment! 7x14 is a really nice size for a trailer. That's what I started with in an open utility trailer.

Are there no hose bibs in your area, toting that monster tank around for no general profit seems like a waste of space

Nice set up. The 6.0 is over if the best gas engines out there.
Haulmark does not manufacturer American hauler trailers. American cargo group owns American hauler. They purchased the company in 2018. A year later, they purchased haulmark and wells cargo.
I only looked into this because you said that you didn't think your trailer was that good. I started with a haulmark trailer and i loved it. I used it for 21 years before finally going to a larger trailer so i could haul three machines.
What is the box hanging off the left side of the grandstand?

21 years is an insane life span for an enclosed trailer. This trailer is fine it just seems really cheap. Ive seen better for sure! I think the little box you are talking about is a winch controller. I run a winch on the front of the grandstand to lift my dethatcher. Thanks for the comment!

@@bladezllc yes, it was a really well built trailer. I have a custom built 2020 enclosed trailer now. It's a tank but I don't expect to get 20 years out of it.
Great idea on the winch. I have a hitch mounted winch I use from time to time on my multi force. I use it to rescue the Altoz mower when I bury it in the mud.

@@Hillsidelanscapemanagement I wish my mower was a multi force! That would make life so much easier. We have had to use the winch to rescue a few mowers. It works well for many things. I saw you had an Altoz mower. What do you think of it?

    • @Hillsidelanscapemanagement
      @Hillsidelanscapemanagement 11 месяцев назад

@@bladezllc don't get too excited...I bought the multi force without the hydraulics (didn't think I'd ever use them and, in Florida, I never needed to). Wishing I had them now
I bought the Altoz for mowing retention/detention ponds and mowing overgrown vacant lots in the 'rural' areas north of Tampa (there's not really anything rural within 90 minutes of Tampa, honestly). It worked great for that work. Unfortunately, I only captured a couple of jobs on video. I only got it stuck twice, once was totally my fault for dropping it into muck that was super soft and in a hole. The other time, I hit some soft much again with an embankment on the edge that, rather than climbing over the embankment, the machine tried to dig itself under... Other than that, it's been awesome. It will cut anything it can push over, including 2.5" saplings.
Having moved to NE Tennessee, there's not really any retention ponds around to maintain and the vacant land here is way too big for this unit. It's also a trick pony. I'm looking into a Ventrac/bobcat articulating tractor

NOPE, YOU ARE WAY WRONG! I started my company back in 2019, long before he was big... Al and I met because we had a similar name. We knew each other before either of us had more than a few Hundred subscribers. SO DONT GO ACCUSING!
