When I cut decks, I always do it on the table. Grab the top half, put it to the side, then put the bottom half on top. If my cutting resulted with a trigger on top for a drive check, then I'll take it.

Found that he did in fact do the thing and then just decided they weren't gonna do anything about cause it was like 3 months ago guys
