Generic cards should not be staples. They are there to fill a slot until something more cohesive comes to bolster the deck's playstyle. If the utility of a generic card turns out to be really important, then the answer is to make it more accessible because generic cards can fit in more places than archetype specific ones and will need more copies to fill those roles.

The main problem with generic cards is Bushiroad copying the homework of western Konami by making them high rarity cards, at the point that even the jp player base was calling them out.

As someone who has topped with the deck I understand the Bruce ride line but I really think you are doing a disservice not playing BLANGS ride line

While i see the reasoning behind the Bruce rideline, i think you still run the Blangdmire one, just because you're more likely to get more cards in soul and maybe extra draws. The energy cycler should be at max copies, since it also is a amazing defensive card, but yeah, Bushiroad didn't make that task easy on the wallet.

It still baffles me that Bushiroad made one of the best starter products ever, with the overDress one's, and proceeded to lower the quality ever since, first with the willDress one's by having fake boss units, them with the divineZ one's by having a vanilla deck. The exception was with Orfist/Gramgrace/Favrneel products being actual decks. I want to say the Vyrgilla deck is good, and it is, but is just the bare minimum, compared to other TCGs and, well, previous Vanguard products lol. Little side note, i still don't get why Bushi refuses to print the energy generator in every standard product, i mean, you literally can't play the game without it.

Honestly having more fun with Full Blast more than Tempest era (Wow what a surprise). Can't really underestimate the deck even with its flaws and all, if it bricks it is what it is. Only deck I ain't accepting is Rezael for sure, dude is hard carried by freaking generics rather than his own support. Bro is the Fated one of frauds to actually work in the competitive scene along with other keter decks that need to rely on the Teithfalt, Wisdom, and Cerrgaon trio just to function well 😊

I missed the bait so I’ll say it here. Willista was never really good. Never have I seen such a mid deck get propped up in the vg community. I would play against it all the time at locals and it never once beat me. I swear I beat this deck with Nirvana jheva and it solidified itself as a bad deck

People don’t seem to believe that Fenelle is a meta-threatening deck! They can get like 8 tops in the past few months and people look at the 16 orders in the deck and be like: “yeah this deck sucks” without giving it a try 😂

Personally, i hate what Tamayura became. There's just zero space for player expression in that deck. If you dare to be creative, it'll most likely ruin your consistence with the dolls.

Nice deck only suggestion is picking going from trigggers up to g3s or from g3 down to trigger when showing off deck. Or at the very least start with persona rides before anything else just for organization purposes but congrats !

Matt making it to the finals of a fighting game tournament is pretty pog ngl...no matter the result! I was extremely tempted to grab Sagitta this playset, and Siana's new cards too. I really like making my opponents have to think because of what *I* do during *their* turn, when a player is usually in power. But I'm happy with the one LM deck I have right now (Charmout, who gets a pretty good card, Pleage, that I used to replace the energy blast recycler). I'm surprised it's only an RR when it finally lets you replay cards from soul, which you can combo with the current grade 3/grade 1 it has, letting you also use your graveyard (which, normally doesn't really matter). The +5k by soul blasting is an incredibly cheap cost when you have loads of cards in soul anyway. Honestly though, LM just barely loses ever, the nation has always been strong, I love it.

personally I have like the opposite of some people's sentiments lol. Perhaps they saw that despite high usage rate the winrates of the strongest decks remain..consistent? I know this sounds silly but hitting strong decks just makes meta players adjust or move on to the next strongest deck. People are annoyed with dealing with Shiranui/Luard because there are sooo many of them, disregarding the fights where those decks get pummelled. Player bias is naturally formed against the most played decks, that's just how it is. I think good players who know how to pilot their strong decks deserve their wins. It's not exactly braindead to play those decks, you have people attempting to counter you all the time. I remember that one video showcasing that a meta where every deck had similar playrates is actually a sign of an unhealthy meta, cos that means good players aren't getting their wins and luck is the biggest deciding factor of your wins. I will agree on one thing though, EN should've gotten JP's banlist too.

I still like and enjoy CFV alot, but yes, bushi is getting lazy and its concerning. I want a second standard and premium deck but i dont want to invest any more if theyre going to axe this game.

I can't see Bushiroad giving Energy to Premium. I fully believe that Energy was created purely so Bushi can create cards with strong effects that won't end up having Premium interactions. Edit: As for the 'Lazy argument'. I don't think Bushi is getting lazy. I think they're as lazy as they've ever been. Man I miss Mori P era it was the best VG era I've ever played.

I think the "lazyness" is a consequence of Bushiroad trying to juggle a bunch of TCGs at the same time. Since Vanguard already has its player base, Bushiroad is probably prioritizing other projects. Let's be real here, the stride decks are a way to lure premium players into standard, so they can stop caring about the P format.

As a Stoicheia main and a Cardfight Vanguard Youthquake fan I'm loving Gramp's Scripture deck and the Mythiarq support. The Maelstrom g2 disappoints me though, it fixes none of the decks issues, the deck still desperately needs a G1 Armada Order or a freiheit like card that can cheat a 2nd Armada Order onto the Order Zone.

Altas just comes across as just complaining just to complain. Root Beer and Matt do a good job of explaining how the support actually helps the decks and identifying their weaknesses, but claiming support is “helpful but not helpful enough”, doesn’t identify the issue, and it sounds like Atlas mostly ignores what the other hosts are saying and just trying to get weird points that don’t matter.If Atlas illustrates his points in more detail and interacts more with what the other hosts have said, I think it would feel more like an actual discussion rather than complaining. Not trying to hate just trying to share some feedback.

I think Atlas just doesn't vibe with Silver Thorn. Pale Moon doesn't have to do 5+ attacks. ST focus more on power/consistency, as a certain Luquier-lover we used to know would said. If Altas want a multi-attack PM deck in Standard, Harri is on his way.

as a Harri enjoyer, I'm not really in a position to complain honestly. It might be worse than Nightrose in D too, it might even be the worst stride deckset, or straight up mid in general. guess I'm getting my nostalgia exploited again, I'm part of the problem! Also I was definitely expecting Ahsha this year. Oh well, maybe next year. EDIT: also Atlas talking about how he doesn't have a Direful Dolls deck and has his Luquier deck collecting dust, that is literally me too lol. The only thing I'm missing is a Harri sticker on my car. I don't know what's stopping me honestly.
