I feel like this is more of an ad. You should be comparing the top three or at least parallels and fusion. I felt like parallels wanted access to everything. WMfusion work better for me because I only ran my tax software and a few other things on windows everything else on my Mac.
Parallels is the Cadillac of virtualization on Mac but if you can’t afford it, UTM also does most of this with the exception of coherence. Great video Matt!
Ugh this gives me PTSD to when I did Apple Tech support and tried to help people installing bootcamp. Serious question, what’s the point of getting a Mac to install Windows on it?
Windows tan surprisingly smooth. Rosetta 2 does the same for x86 apps. These emulation algorithms are getting too good. I wonder what rosetta 3 will bring onboard. Thanks for making these videos, Matt! Your doing great 👍🏼
Used to have vmware a long time ago. It was handy. Never used parallels, but was aware of it. May give it a go with my new mac I bought for myself, despite my work being a windows only place… not that I do official work on my personal system, but I may learn and experiment with concepts pertinent to my job on my own time.
What spec Mac are you running parallels on there? Looks like an air. Have been thinking about a Mac long term but still need VS studio and so need windows for this really so parallels looks like it could solve that down the line. A friend who tried it says it always bugs you for updates and more money for more features is that correct?
I have loaded parallels and windows 11 so that I could run pro-stitcher simulator. It doesn’t work very well and pro stitcher says it won’t work. Can u advise me? Thanks
Did use Parallels in the past when working for a regional ISP. Had an application for work that only ran under Windows. Now that this old man is retired I have moved to macOS/UNIX as my daily driver. Have no need to run Windows anymore.
Who will be so stupid to install Windows Programm on you Mac wich is still based on modefied DOS program has bad Graphics which looks from the Stone Age and occopied a lot of storage on your max, and is still more virus attracting 🤥🤥🤥
I'd rather get a laptop running Windows. Unlike Boot Camp, Parallel Desktop is limited in the amount of RAM it can use, thus demanding frequent SSD drive switching when I have both programs open on Windows and macOS.
Have you used Windows on Mac Before?
Yes but it's pointless
No...but a friend does.
I own a windows Laptop which ironically is much easier for me to use far more than a Mac though I'm an apple user
Works steam on the. Mac white parallels windows 11
Hello Matt, I have owned Windows computers since 1995. I do want a MacBook Air. Hopefully soon. Thanks Matt.
Are there any free alternatives to Parallels? I'm a student who works with Power BI and it's a Windows only app 🙁...
Same here I have Mac but need windows to power bi

Would like to see more about this with Mac and parallels and how to’s and so forth.
Why would anyone want windows on an Apple. Sorry not me that bug from a company that crippled windows.
Love your videos man. Thanks for all the selfless effort you put into it.
Thanks Matt. I purchased Parallels to run on my MacBook Air M1. Your review is spot-on. Appreciate your great work. Keep it going! Kindest Robert.

If Windows support is needed only Parallels is authorized by Microsoft.

Some softwares are only available on Windows.
Macs are silent , fast, good battery, but windows is better.
Yo wsp early 🙌
I would use this for games that ain't on the apps store and that apple makes you pay for a certificate just to use does apps
imagine if parellels is free
macos is better
Why would you pay 3x more for a mac to put windows on it, lol driver nightmare
Silent and fast
iPad
Thanks Matt.
Have yourself a wonderful Bank Holiday weekend, mate.
I used UTM or VMWare for Win11 virtualization. Couldn’t do parallels because of the cost to just run an OS

I run MacOS VM's up on my PC all the time for stuff for clients. WOrks a treat.
It’s too bad that it’s only subscription version only to have the native power from the machine. I’d prefer bootcamp if there’s still existed.
I would like to make the switch to a MacBook and this might be a good option, to still have that window abilities. Thanks
Great video Matt, keep making such content
I use the free VMware, Fusion.
I'm the first one sir please give me a 🎁gifts
1st love from India ❤
Nice content keep it up
No thank you!
can you have on ipad pro?

YEP...TOO COSTLY
It is not a good idea

Boot camp doesn't work anymore? It's more stable than virtual machine
Is it better to bootcamp windows vs using this

Nice

You can adjust the RAM Parallels can use. I am using it every day and it runs very smooth and fast.
Is this better than bootcamp or should i just install bootcamp to get windows
