Can someone tell me if their hard drives connects to windows via parallels?! Not all file size are recognised by macOS so I need to make sure I can use my 8TB Hard Drive (via Paralles). Despite being formatted to exFat (via Windows). Please don’t respond telling me I need to reformat my HD, no. I have data that I still need to access when needed. Thank you.
Can you run more than one windows machine using parallel?
This video is highly repetitive, but it answered a question for me..after I started skipping all the repetition.. Older games will work. I'd stick to 1080P which would be smoother, but it's still a VM not using GPU passthrough so there are going to be slowdowns.
Just wondering if you confirmed that Win Home edition works? I’d also like to know if the watermark in the bottom corner is the only difference between unauthorized and authorized versions? 😂
how do I open windows on my imac once parallels is installed
Is there a way to disable secure boot?
Hi Jeff, I'm trying Parallel now to play fife through steam , i purchased and installed everything but the problem fife is not running, it loads and then close the windows instantly , my specs are exactly as yours mac-book pro M1 16 GB. Hope you reply to this I've been looking for a solution for two days now with no luck :(
does it effect performace?
Is the $99 one a one time fee or is that per year as well?
Per year
Hey, how about running game windows in parallel mac m1 ?? it's smooth run ??
Just to be clear, do i need to buy windows 11 to use this, or can I get away with only paying for parallels? @9to5Mac
Hello,
You dont need to buy Windows for this. Windows is free. A license to customise is not free. However, you can use Windows unactivated for free.
which is better? Parallel or VMware.
Can i download parallels and windows on a ssd drive and run them from there. thanks
I have an M1 max with 32 gb, but I do not see the option to choose 16 gb for parallels. Do you know what I am missing? Thank you
Will intel apps work?
With that windows installed, is that possible to install cracked softwares ?
it runs well with macbook air m2 8gb ram?
How do u get Apple drivers for parallel. I plug in my iPhone 15 pro max the windows 11 on parallel not show up my iPhone on windows 11.
I bought an M2 MacBook Air to migrate to MacOS coming from Windows to start fresh. Why would I install Windows in it?
Can I use a Windows 11 Pro version for this or does it have to be the standard version
Hello!
You can use either Windows Version. It will make no difference
Good video Jeff
On the subject of activating a Windows 11 license in a Parallels Desktop VM it might point you to buy a Windows 11 Pro license over a Windows 11 HOME license BUT SOME of us DO RECOMMEND a Windows PRO license when activating Windows 11
I PERSONALLY RECOMMEND buying a Windows 11 PRO license because Windows 11 PRO has BETTER SECURITY features like the Encrypting File System BitLocker as well as PC management via Local Security Policy and Local Group Policy
Is it possible to Run Windows 11 Pro 64 bit on M2 mini using Parallels?
Great video - although I'm not sure it's worth paying the parallel's desktop subscription just to play rocket league!! Crossover would probably be a better alternative. Good to see you back Jeff!
There is a standard edition that doesn't require a subscription. The version cost a one-time $99.99 and gets you a permanent license. Hint: Its the only version listed that does not indicate a $$/yr figure.
@@markgoodman2837 the "permanent" goes for 4 years though, so not exactly permanent, and it is limited also in terms of hardware allocation for the VM
Thanks going through all of these steps. FWIW, I play rocket league on PS5, so that isn't playable to me (lol). But still cool that you can run it!
so its 99 one time for standard or 129 per year for pro? sounds like 100 bucks one time is best for most
want full version of parallel desktop lifetime access only $49?
Can we use all x64 softwares?
can u create network adapter on paralel win11??
Thank you
If Microsoft are bold enough to bypass Qualcomm and work with Parallels, why don’t they work with Apple right straightforward? Things are complicated, maybe Craig’s claim on “it’s up to Microsoft” really isn’t true, or Qualcomm permit virtual installation.
I wanted to buy a MacBook and emulate windows for visual studio because MacBook Air is cheaper than a snapdragon x elite laptop but then I realized that if I try to make the ram 16gb it’s almost the same price as a windows laptop but in the windows laptop I get 1Tb of storage and I don’t have to emulate windows and the chip is stronger than m2
Best and cheapest to purchase the recycled, software code. Many websites sell these. FYI.
one of the best video on Win 11 on Mac... thanks
Hay dude i have parallel desktop lifetime license you want?
Can you help with network settings. The WiFi names never appear when I’m trying to connect. Tried to do it manually as well and nothing happens. Would I have to actually buy the program instead of using the trial?
Hello,
Try going into Audit mode during the Wi-Fi prompt during Setup and try installing the drivers there.
Once you install the drivers, click OOBE on the box, and then restart.
