Another thought process might be India needs Hardik's back up.. So will try new fast bowling allrounder in T20I. I personally would like Hardik lead the T20 team..but it's a good decision.

I don’t know why Bumrah is not being discussed as Captain in ODIs. Out of the aforementioned contenders for captains, Bumrah has the best cricket sense according to me. In fact, he can be a successor to Rohit Sharma in tests as well. As far as the selection of WK is concerned, I think Sanju Samson should be given the gloves permanently in T20Is with Jurel as backup. In ODIs Pant should be WK with Samson as a backup and KL Rahul in the team. And in tests, gloves are already with Pant with KL Rahul as backup.
If Bumrah was a batter he would be India's captain but he is a bowler, they have to manage his workload. He should play only important series and tournaments. Thats why he can't captain with so much cricket around.
