@@tdcmachine It's very, very difficult to watch a mentally sharp, alert person deteriorate mentally. I cared for my mother for 5yrs before she was finally placed in a nursing home because it got to be too much.

In my years on earth, I swear that I have never heard anything negative about Johnny Crawford. He always seem to have that sparkle in his eye and that dazzling smile on his face. Those plus his memorable run on the Rifleman will be forever etched into television. He will be a television legend who will be missed. We all mourn together. RIP.

I've loved the RIFLEMAN all my life. The way CHUCK & JOHNNY 's chemistry blended together was one of uniqueness. To this day, I still watch the show every day in reruns in Chicago at PM. When I found out last month that he past away, I broke my heart & I cried for this very special man. My mom died with Alzheimers in 2000. I'm 66 years old& finding myself forgetting things, can't find something, will get distracted when talking about something; all the things that JOHNNY went thru. As long as I live, I will continue to watch the RIFLEMAN, love JOHNNY CRAWFORD

I'm sad to hear of your Mother's passing😞.
      🙏❤️
I too, lost my mother two days after Christmas, in 2018.
She had cancer. She lived a good long life, 92 years, I miss her so much.
My 37 year old daughter passed away two days after Thanksgiving in 2022.
She got Covid, recovered, but had "Long Covid" symptoms for 2 years after.
The Top Seven Symptoms are :
      Shortness of breath
      Fast heartbeat
      Joint pain
      Hair loss
      Fatigue
      Chest pain
      Obesity
My daughter aged rapidly in those two years after she had COVID-19, she looked older than me, and she gained almost 200 pounds.
She could barely go to work, then home to bed, she was so tired 24 hours a day.
Her poor heart enlarged to twice the size it should be. It had to work so hard day in, & day out. It could no longer support her body, she had a Coronary Heart attack.
She was one of those American Hero's in 2020, that were working during the Covid -19 virus spread Nation Wide.
We stayed at home, but they all had the back bone, & courage to still work even though it was a deadly virus. They were so brave, keeping American's healthy, & fed while the whole country was staying home away from each other, to stop the spread of the virus.
Our heart's will always yearn for our Loved One's.
I am comforted knowing I will see them again one day.
For the moment we pass, we are in the very presence of our Heavenly Father. 😇🎚️🙏❤️

My Dad has early on dementia also he jest turned 81 in April. It’s a very tragic disease but I watched my uncle back in 2007 get a diagnosis of ALS. That’s one VERY TRAGIC DISEASE TO HAVE AND WATCH UR FAMILY MEMBER CANT DO WHAT THEY ALWAYS DID R TALK AND WALK. He passed less than a year from being diagnosed. He was only 61 at that time. He lived on the family farm up til he had to come stay at my parents house to take care of him and I helped. His mind was STILL THERE JEST COULD NOT TALK AFTER ONLY 6 months of being diagnosed. DONT wish these disease on any of my Worst enemies. Sorry to hear of your loss of your mother and will keep the Crawford’s family in my prayers. I jest came upon this today 10-11-2020.

Lucas and Mark McCain embodied the father/son relationship I wish I had with my father. Watching the bond of love and respect which Chuck and Johnny portrayed in The Rifleman became my blueprint for what a man should be; Strong yet Sensitive. Thank you for the privilege of many of life’s lessons learned from the work which Chuck, Johnny, and all the good folk of North Fork brought to this lonely boy so many years ago! RIP JOHNNY💜 🤠

Similarly, Laramie embodied things, too: most important, that people thrown together by necessity and circumstances can bond as something of a family. This occurred twice on the show. Both Laramie and The Rifleman had one thing in common: often, their stories involved people who wanted and needed second chances and who just wanted to not be judged and move on in their lives.

Two awesome talents, the Crawford brothers should be remembered as Hollywood TV royalty. Yet due to child actors being excluded from receiving royalties for their TV show work, these 2 wonderful guys had to make their own way later on as adults in the industry, which they both did successfully. Johnny, a great talent & one of nature's gentlemen is sadly missed. Bobby, erudite and charming, possibly missed out on deserved accolades later on after his Laramie career was so cruelly ended.

I lost my grandmother to Alzheimer's and my dad had dementia, so I know the pain of watching someone's memories disappear. As soon as I can I'm going to donate to Johnny's GoFundMe page. Hopefully Johnny's brother's show will come to me tv and I will become acquainted with it as well. Thank you Johnny Crawford for helping me through my time of pain with my knees. I started watching The Rifleman because of my grandpa who passed away June 2020. Johnny and Chuck looked like they were the biggest sweethearts. I love that Johnny was smiling throughout the interview. I broke down crying when I heard of his passing since he was a connection to my grandpa. Rest in Heavenly Peace Johnny. May your smiles and joyfulness continue to shine into eternity.

Johnny was a television Idol to me when I was between 8-12. Sad to hear about Alzheimer's robbing him of his memories and language later in life. Same happened to my dad. I wouldn't wish that insidious disease on my worst enemy. Best wishes to Robert, Charlotte, and Nance if she's still with us.
