Such a sweet man. My mom passed from Alzheimer's and it's such a horrific disease. I pray that their is a cure in the near future. God Bless You Johnny Crawford.
Nancy played on Matlock, with Andy Griffith, always thought she was so beautiful, still is. Johnny Crawford was my favorite on the Rifleman. Liked him when he got a bit older on the show. Now he's in my prayers.
@victoryNOWfilmsandtv my heart says you're welcome. My mom who is no longer with us put me on to all these great western type films. This one and the Fugitive were her favorite. And for some reason, the black and white episodes IMO are the best for both shows. Thk you for seeing and responding to my comment. 💜🤗💜
@lilmoma90 Hello, I'm spry for the delay in seeing your earlier reply. And, so sorry about your Mom. I can relate. No words can describe. Thank you and I hope you are doing okay.
Nancy is a real pleasure to watch as the interviewer and you can certainly see that Johnny is a truly nice person with a great sense of humor. He would be a lot of fun to talk with.
Seems like a gentle soul. So many actors are full of themselves, such a pleasant experience to see and listen to him. As a child I enjoyed him on The Rifleman (1958-1963). In 2019 "Cowboys and Indians (magazine) reported that Mr. Crawford has been diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease. Thank you for sharing. Las Vegas, NV July 13, 2019
Nacy Stafford is the nicest interviewer i have seen watching this hes havung a little issue Alzheimer's is a curse im glad he is doing well not great but hes in our prayers
I spoke with Paul Petersen recently and Johnny is not well. He doesn't recognize people anymore. He's at home with his wife but it's really tough. Paul and Johnny are lifelong friends and Paul started a GoFundMe for Johnny a couple of years ago. Regardless of what you think about his financial management, please remember the joy he brought to so many people with 'The Rifleman' and give back a little. Thank you.
Thank you Lisa Bennett. I loved this interview with Nancy and Johnny. I see you have many links to click on. So I will be clicking. So glad I came across this. It all started with Cindy's Birthday. You know who I'm talking about. I couldn't believe he had a song It's Cindy's Birthday. The perfect song. WoW ! Thanks for sharing. I think he may be my favorite cowboy.
Nancy you are the best interviewer--allow your guests to shine--gently guide discussion without getting in the way--make guests feel comfortable--many late night show people could learn from you!!
Nancy Stafford is the very best, you are correct. Thank you for noticing how talented she is and how she makes the guests very comfortable. WFF is in July in Winston-Salem, NC. This July 2017 unfortunatly is the last one.
He was just diagnosed with Alzheimer's but if you know anything about it. He had the beginning stage of it in this interview. I have to wonder if they are just now coming out with the fact he has it. Or just how long they really knew he had it. God bless him
Johnny always had a great dry sense of humor and it's not missing here even though you can see the Alzheimers pressing in. His basic decency is very much in evidence too.

Kinda painful to watch.... I'm afraid Johnny is starting to lose it just a bit.
Lose what? Can't you tell when someone has had a drink?
It’s sad to watch Johnny struggle to converse but he’s absolutely wonderful to listen to.
