      Except for the fact that he wants to repeal the 26th amendment and change the voting age to 25. He would be a fool to do so

      @@isaiahsquadquests Presidents can't repeal Constitutional Amendments anyway. It takes a super-majority of Congress and 3/4s of the State legislatures to repeal an Amendment.
      So, regardless of what Ramaswamy wants it doesn't have any chance of ever happening. I'm not sure why this would stop someone from voting for him.

      @@thatmanmangoold enough to fight, old enough to vote doesn’t make sense in a time of peace where a “fight” is very unlikely. the country is changing, and life has changed and our culture has changed
      18 year olds used to get married, buy a house, and already start having their first child by 20 if not sooner. and the man in that relationship probably had some type of manual labor job since he was 14 or 16 which instilled some type of responsibility early on. that’s not the case anymore when most 18 year olds have never had a job, and most of them aren’t going into the real world/work force but instead are going to High School Pt 2 aka College, which for a lot of them is just a way to pay a lot of money to escape the responsibility that comes with being an adult citizen. a blank slate age mandate of 25 i do think is absurd, but something like no voting until 22 UNLESS you meet certain criteria makes more sense. Like if you currently or previously served in military or first responder you automatically have it. if you’re under 22 then you have to have a job, or a registered business, sometime within the last year before election day. and, like vivek said about having to pass a civics test it should be similar as well if you are under 22. oh, another one ppl not gonna like is if you are under 22 AND you are claimed as a dependent on someone else’s taxes and you don’t have a job and haven’t taken civics test then yea you shouldn’t be able to vote
      18 year olds gonna vote for whoever tiktok tells them to so.. prolly a bad idea to have a bunch of children choosing the president

      Yeah, since he isn't just a career politician who has to be careful with what he says, he can actually say what he believes is best and his strategy for America.
      We'll see how he holds up over time, but it's really looking like it's going to be between Trump and Vivek right now. I'd probably lean more towards Vivek for voting.
      I can't believe ANYONE would vote for Joe Biden at this point. They are basically voting for a puppet with unknown, faceless people in the background running the country.

      @hahashibe Freedom is NOT for the weak of mind or heart. Personal responsibility is absolutely necessary. That includes both treating others fairly and defending yourself when necessary, without shrugging that responsibility onto someone else. Even in our current society... your safety is absolutely your responsibility. When you have seconds to live... police are minutes away. I would much prefer a dangerous freedom than a peaceful slavery. Besides.. there would be privatized security companies and arbitration available. The idea of total chaos is in your own head.

      He is everything a real republican should want as a president: believing that the way of the right isn’t a belief, but it’s how this country was designed and meant to be ran. Anything that goes against that notion is wrong, not a “different belief.”
      Unfortunately his name isn’t Newsome/Biden/Trump/Desantis/etc so he won’t win. Damn shame.

      I have a slight quibble with his always talking about ideals. That can get close to utopianism. My own view is that the Founders had a humble assessment of human nature, and were somewhat cynical about most people's capacity to get too much power without getting corrupted by it. They were anti-elitist.
      -- We're all imperfect. We're all sinners. Our founders knew this, and set up a government with limitations on power, with the power divided into three branches, to guard against the corruption that comes when a leader or leader gets too much power concentrated.
      -- What they gave us is a paradoxical kind of idealism that elevates the people to the status of leaders, but as imperfect sinners who have to make a living and get along with one another and get lots of feedback from others to keep us humble. The idealism here is that the people are as good and morally worthy as any batch of wealthy, educated elites. It's an idealism based on a humble assessment of human nature.

    I totally agree that HS graduates need to be able to pass the same test as any American citizen.

    Vivek is working so much harder and openly than every other candidate in either party that it’s genuinely shocking. He’s so transparent, concise, and consistent that you can’t do anything other than respect it.
    Feels like a person is talking, not a politician looking to win a popularity contest.

      Q@@katashi222 is he a phony? Probably. Is he that much of a phony? Probably not. The man has done hundreds and hundreds of hours of podcasts including his own. By Jordan Peterson's reckoning and by mine it is pretty much impossible to tell consistent lies for that long. Some phoniness is possible? Yes. Is the utter cynicism of politicians merited? No I don't think so, and neither should you. It's a complicated world use complicated understanding, complicated rational, complicated psychology.       You cant have willfulness if you are following laws on the books and the constitution is the law of the land everything else i stated verified that.
      Its the perfect defense. They cant prove wilfulness because you are going off supreme court caselaw and the constitution.
      You then sue.
      File (title 18 sec 241 and 242) "deprivation or rights under color of law" and (title 42 1983,1985,and 1986 civil rights lawsuits.)
      They will claim good faith but they cant per;
      Owen v city of independence 1982 supreme court reports vol 100. Pg 1398:
      "A municipality has no immunity from liability under Section 1983 flowing from its constitutional violations and may not assert the good faith of its officers as a defense to such liability,"
      and
      main v Thibault 1979 supreme court reports vol 100. Pg 2502:
      leaves them with no judical or qualified immunity.
      Saucier v. Katz. In Saucier v. Katz, 533 U.S. 194 (2001):
      The Supreme Court held that a ruling on a qualified immunity defense must be made early in the trial court's proceeding, because qualified immunity is a defense to stand trial, not merely a defense from liability.
      The 2nd amendment is an inalienable right.
      "Shall not be infringed".
      Gun laws are an "infringement"
      definition: the action of limiting or undermining something. "Limiting" who can have a firearm and where, and when by directly "undermining" the 2nd amendment.
      1st part "a well regulated Militia" was described as "able bodied men willing and able to take up arms if they should need to in order to secure and maintain a free state of living".
      The 2nd amendment was put in place to prevent (government) overreach from (infringing) on our (rights).
      This means police,military or reserves do NOT classify as "militia" as some argue becuase they are a "government" entity.
      Gun laws violate the constitution period and people need to stand up to this.
      Absolutely every person in the United states has an equal right to keep and bear arms.
      It does not matter what some state law says or city law says it does not matter your background.
      your are a "person" and a "citizen."
      All state and city laws are bound by the constitution and if they are not they do not have to be followed as they are tyranical in nature.
      Every single gun law on the books is illegal. Nics background check is illegal,switch bans,magazine bans,bumpstock bans,assault weapons bans are all illegal.
      Every gun law legally has to go.

      Read: (26th am jurisprudence sec 1-300.)
      (Title 5 sec 556-d,557,and 706) = due process.
      1. gun laws dont meet historic tradition.
      2. Enforcing gun laws is violating the constitution (2nd and 14th amendment).
      3. I listed all supreme court cases which supersedes anything in the state.
      4. You have to prove someone willfully violated the law.
      5. If anyone reads these cases according to these cases anyone and everyone has an equal right.
      The constitution was effective as of 3/04/1789 (The 18th century).
      The 14th amendment (equal protection clause) was added on 7/09/1868 (the 19th century)
      The 1st gun law enactment wasnt until 1934 (the 20th century).
      Gun laws in general dont meet historic tradition.
      There is 145 years between the enactment of the constitution and the 1st gun law.
      There is a 66 year gap between the 14th amendment (which secured equal rights under the equal protection clause) and the 1st gun law.
      The A.T.F. is not a elected body and holds no power to make laws or pass bans which infringe on constitutional rights.
      They are the tyrants the forfathers warned us of.
      The right to equal self defense dates back even beyond the magna charta of 1215 a.d.

    What a great interview! The more I listen to Vivek the more I am amazed! Thank you Colion for bringing him on. I thought the idea of baking a gun safety course into civic duty is genius! I don't like believing in politicians anymore but this guy really is giving me hopes of bringing America back. This guy is on another level of genius but also elaborates his platform so well. I really like Trump, except for his constant bragging about his no doubt very great accomplishments in office, but I want to hear how we move forward. They didn't do Trump right and I am very grateful to him and his family for making America great again but they are full on attacking him. I would never abandon him to these wolves but Vivek is speaking my language and it's unencumbered with a ton of false indictments. I get a good gut feeling from him too. Trump & Vivek could do wonderful things, but who knows if these two Alfas could be humble enough to work together and make Americans proud again. I love my Country but my government is really letting me down. The judicial, executive, and legislative are derelict of their duties right now. I can't believe they indicted a president running for reelection. God please touch these people and light their path.

      I agree, my biggest input however is regarding people with mental health need to be taken care of, my biggest issue is a large majority of those suffering mentally either don’t want too or can’t afford mental health as it’s very expensive or they don’t have the time to go get mental health I believe we also need a major overhaul of the mental health side of our systems as many who end up committing these actions either rarely or at all speak out to mental health professionals instead suffering in silence until something sends them over the edge. I agree as sad as it is if a armed guard at a school must shoot and kill somebody who was not mentally there sadly there is no other choice but we can also prevent a person from wanting to take it to that level in the 1st place

      The federal government has no enumerated powers related to this, so this should be revived by the states. I have no doubt that Vivek is aware of this and will bring it into the light if given the opportunity.

    The idea of a "responsible gun owner," or insuring that every American citizen is informed and trained accordingly to operate firearms, is akin to "a well regulated militia". This is the spirit of the 2A

    The more i hear, the more i like and am impressed by Vivek. He nailed it, the right to bear arms is integral to maintaining our freedoms. Against a government that is increasingly overstepping their authority. An actual example of a "cold war" in effect. We are the check to maintain the balance of a limited government our founders envisioned. The constitution grants no rights, it restricts government, its up to us to make sure they stay within the bounds of those restrictions. That takes civic responsibility, we have to be involved to maintain these ideals. An old adage, "you may not be interested in politics, but that doesnt mean politics wont take an interest in you."

      It's overall painful because most of the candidates showed the same lack of respect and crass they always do, but the first Republican Primary debate highlighted Vivek. He was calm, intelligent, great answers, and he was one of the only 2 people on the full stage who didn't interrupt others while they attacked him and talked over him constantly. Great poise and professionalism.

      @@zshastikay336 I fully agree, but it likely won't happen. He is TOO sharp and would be seen as an ideological threat. A POTUS wants people just smart enough to make them look good, but not so smart and charismatic that people begin to seem them as the source rather than POTUS. Of course we know that few Presidents come up with great ideas, but optics is everything. Shame, but nobody will let him near a cabinet post in my opinion.

    The 2nd Amendment Does Not give us the “right” to keep and bear arms. It’s not a permission slip from the government. We ALREADY HAVE a God given unalienable RIGHT to protect ourselves, our loved ones and our property. The 2nd Amendment TELLS the government what they cannot INFRINGE upon.

    Thank you for taking time to question Vivek about the 2nd Amendment. In 2019 at 4:00 am right after my husband left for work, there was a lot of noise and I thought my husband came back home for his phone. A few minutes later a man came into my bedroom running his hand down the wall finding the light switch to my husbands walk-in closet. Now, my husband is 5’6” and the man that came in was taller than the closet door. I stayed still even though I was awake, the man man began to screem, guys, guys, guys, we got to go, got to go. He ran out of my room and I jumped out of bed and grabbed my semi automatic and stood at my door and realized these guys wet stuck at my back door and couldn’t get the deadbolt open. I payed, and walked into the living area where they were, and they were able to unlock the door and took off running. I went across the street to call 911 and my husband. And walked thru my home if anyone was still in my house. The police arrived and I still had my gun in my hand. This is one of those moments that my family had lessons, testing and OSBI getting finger printed etc. and we got our Conceal license. Having the skill to handle a gun and being able to shoot and kill, not to scare them. You maybe concerned that you are in this predicament but know that you will have confidence if you have to actually shoot to kill. The young officer tracked my phone and IPad and caught all 5 men 30 minutes later.
